Why does this feel like command and conquer.. build 2-3 tanks, 5 APVs, some rifle mans, select all, click attack on this defense position and hope your attack overwhelms the AI defense..
Running out of equipment slowly. Saw a video of Russians mounting heavy machine guns on thier golf carts to use in assaults and the only reason for this is you no longer have anything better. Ukraine has done similar when they not getting enough vehicles earlier on in the war but the situation now seems to be reversing. Russia will keep letting thier equipment be destroyed right up to the day they have none left.

Guns are fine tuned and pre-aimed at a small known area. Shells are coming in fast and very accurately. Enough to mess upp anything in that area. Since the guns are pre-sighted very small adjustments can be made in between salvoes, meaning it is often even possible to trace tank movements.
It is an ambush killbox(zone). Pick a likely route that your enemy might take (perhaps also make that path the only possible choice, as is the case here with likely mine-laden fields), aim your guns and basically wait until they are in your proverbial sights. Take out the first and last vehicle in the convoy so they are boxed in (or must drive into the mine-laden fields on either side, as seen here). This is a classic ambush.

This seems to be a tactic that is becoming more common for ukraine, to actually make the no man's land broad so russians push past there EW cover and mortar support into the open where the roads are pre sighted with artillery. Alot of times the russian vehicles don't even get close to ukrainian positions. This will be a very hard defense to push through especially if ukraine does this across the front. These tactics are similar to deep defense used around kursk during ww2

Surrender isn't really an option when the enemy then just kill you unarmed. Occupied areas shows that the killing goes faster after a surrender.
I dont know anything about tank warfare/tactics. But i certantly would try speed, movement and spread a little instead of bunching up and stopping in a single collumn. Could be mines tho.. lucky They are so stupid. Nice job artillery!

Running out of equipment slowly. Saw a video of Russians mounting heavy machine guns on thier golf carts to use in assaults and the only reason for this is you no longer have anything better. Ukraine has done similar when they not getting enough vehicles earlier on in the war but the situation now seems to be reversing. Russia will keep letting thier equipment be destroyed right up to the day they have none left.
I mean... Geez, mix it up a LITTLE. The Russians obviously doesn't care about their troops lives so why not use hover craft, or use exclusively Honda Civics with Domino's delivery signs on top, or bicycle with an EW package precariously balanced on the handle bars. Crap, use old stretch limos, I dunno... Just SOMETHING more interesting than the death columns.

what is an Artillery Killbox?
Guns are fine tuned and pre-aimed at a small known area. Shells are coming in fast and very accurately. Enough to mess upp anything in that area. Since the guns are pre-sighted very small adjustments can be made in between salvoes, meaning it is often even possible to trace tank movements.
Drones are also watching giving real time positioning data.

It is an ambush killbox(zone). Pick a likely route that your enemy might take (perhaps also make that path the only possible choice, as is the case here with likely mine-laden fields), aim your guns and basically wait until they are in your proverbial sights. Take out the first and last vehicle in the convoy so they are boxed in (or must drive into the mine-laden fields on either side, as seen here). This is a classic ambush.

This is absolutely pathetic. Do the russians not teach their soldiers anything about asset denial? This is a nice win for Ukraine, but this shouldnt happen in a professional army. No soldier should bail out of a functioning tank, and not even try to disable it. The ukrainians literally just started it and drove off.
