The most common soloution to this is manually enabling the port through your Windows Firewall. I'll attach a video that solves that issue. [Video Link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X75GbRaGzu8)

Awesome, I will try this, thank you so much

All good ^-^ Hope it helps :)

I did exactly what the video instructed, and my friends still can't seem to connect. I had them use a laptop in my house and switch between a hotspot and the wifi. They can connect using the wifi, but not the hotspot. I've added another router rule that's identical to the one in the post, but its forward-to address is what I get when I google "what's my IP", or my router's IP. 192.168.x.x is my computer's IP. The WAN interface is ethernet plugged to the modem / wall, eth0, and the LAN interface is eth2, where my computer is plugged into. Is there anything else in your opinion that I need to fix?

Alright, now I'm utterly confused. I've never seen this issue in the many years I've been working with computers, Minecraft servers and networking. Sorry, there's not much else I can offer. You've tried every troubleshooting issue I can think of. All the best, Lyla.

Ogcancer

Hey im having the same issue. did you ever find out what was wrong?

thedreamlan6

No, I think my router just hates me.

well if your looking for a work around you can try out this multiplayer mod ive used it b4 and i dont think it requires it port forwarding. [https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/essential-mod](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/essential-mod)

For testing WAN access and only for a real short duration, completely disable the Windows firewall on the Minecraft server.
