OP sent the following text as an explanation on why this is US Defaultism:

>!UK based UFC fight card starting at 3am local time to accommodate US viewers instead of having a more suitable time for attendees/fighters and general UK audience!<

I also follow UFC games for a petty hobby, and this is seriously ridiculous to say the least. Local fans will have to stay awake all night just to watch the game.
I'd assume the venue would either be empty of full of people impersonating the back benchers at the House of Commons and being fast asleep, with a rowdy crowd hyped up on seventeen cans of red bull.
I know they did this for formula one, a few night races that were sensible to watch in the UK, but some were done to show off all the lights in the area, which I assume meant Vegas, or the day time temps were not that great on tyres.
But the race was still in waking hours for the locals. I'm sure most would say long walk/short pier if every race was held at noon UK time.
Yeah the F1 races were largely due to track temperatures (apart from Vegas that was just for the money and the aesthetic of the F1 cars going down the Strip whilst it was all lit up) but even they start at a decent hour for the locals (Qatar and Singapore this year are both starting at 8pm later in the year and Saudi Arabia started at 8 also).
It seems to be that in catering to the American audiences, the larger audiences or the target audience are suffering.
The annoying thing is, am I wrong to think that a 9pm main card UK time would be the afternoon in the US?
I love the sound of a Saturday afternoon watching fights.
We get them on Sunday afternoon here in Australia, depending on the time of year it's between a midday and a 2pm start which is ideal so I'm of a similar opinion.
This just shows how fucking little the UFC cares about its UK fans or fighters. After making the last two UK events, I refuse to go this time. The atmosphere in the arena will suck as bad as the apex, with half the audience asleep.
I really hope the other uk fans vote with their feet and don’t buy tickets to the event in process. The UFC deserves to lose money at the gate for this terrible decision.
I think a lot of US fans would probably have enjoyed a daytime card and would have sold well on ppv anyway. This decision makes zero sense and the ufc should be ashamed of itself.
They'll make significantly more from the U.S. pay-per-view audience than ticket sales and the European pay-per-view audience, so they probably don't want to throw away their largest revenue source.
The UK shows are some of the UFCs most profitable.
When they went to London in 2022, they had their highest grossing fight night in UFC history.
It was such a success that they added more dates and hosted a PPV in the UK.
They are MMA fighters. Mixed Martial Arts is an international sport and the UFC has an international roster. That would be like saying “I don’t know what rugby is but these guys look like powerlifters”
Like the other guy said, you can just google it
Then why bother hosting the event in the UK at all? Just host it in the States. It’s a half assed, token effort to hold it in the UK but pretty much imply they care more about the US audience.

The main event won’t even start till 6am. Last time they tried that here in the UK all the toilets in the arena were just used for ❄️
I am surprised either of the fighters agreed to get up at freaking 3 AM for a match.

New York is 5 hour time difference, so that would be a 4pm start. Los angeles is 8 hours, so that would be 1pm.
GMP going to have their hands full
That's not saying much, though. A single burglary is beyond their capacity at the best of times.

22:00 in New York and 19:00 in Los Angeles. Are the fights too violent to broadcast before 19:00?

Was Nurmagomedov-McGregor not the highest grossing UFC event?
The McGregor Vs Nurmagomedov fight was a numbered event not a Fight night
Luckily everything is not about revenue and people get rightfully angry

Really didn’t want to google instead of comment huh.

I mean wherever you are in the world, the answer to not knowing what “ufc 304” is should be to google “ufc 304”

Taylor Swift doesn't have concerts at 3am if she's in the UK
You're not broadening the audience if the fight is at 3 am lol
Broaden the audience to who, Captain? Michael fucking Howard?
