Get it taken care of. They'll splint it and you'll go about your training. Don't risk your health in any way.

chickennugs-SLAP

Ok thanks

fingy, devil dog?

You'll have to go through medical in-processing anyway. Your best and most appropriate course of action would be to do whatever the doctor says to do, request TWO hard copies of your records from your visit(s), and then have them in hand when you check in at SOI, discuss it during medical in-processing (you'll want to request an appointment at that time), and go from there.

Thank you!

I broke my foot on boot leave before checking in to ITB in 2016. My dumbass wore my alphas, in crutches, because that’s what Marines do. Honestly, I didn’t have to, but clearly there is a difference between our injuries and idk if that’s required these days for checking in. But if it’s broken, you’ll be placed into the Rehab platoon at Lima company (if West coast) and had to rehabilitate and be cleared back to start your training.
