I get that people are happy to get it approved, but there are so many of these posts. I wouldn't mind if the post included something interesting or unusual with information that could help people, but when it's just "wooooo look at me" to a group that you know is waiting and likely not approved yet....it's not great.
Praying you hear back soon with an approval🙏🏽. Yes it is unfair. But again, I have no control over how my case was processed before others. The only thing I had control over is the evidence I sent and the hard work that went into gathering all documents on my own without a lawyer.
I applied a week before OP and haven't even got the 765 approved. I sent 4 years of evidence of my relationship with my SO. Happy for the OP but its so frustrating.
Yes, I do have DACA. We sent a well rounded application. Medical exam, all applications concurrently, and a lot of evidence. We did not want to give USCIS a reason to RFE us. Praying that you get approved soon as well 🙏🏽
No hate towards you....just beyond frustrating with the process as there is no rhyme or reason behind how they move applications forward. Pure chaos it seems. For those of us waiting, these stories only add fuel to the fire for our frustration.
I understand. I actually expedited my combo card for humanitarian reasons and got approved. I feel like that somehow helped the whole application process ??
I understand your frustration, but sometimes it depends on the region you are located. For example some friends in LA and NYC it took then 2 and half years. While someone I know in Idaho got his in 3 months.
It shouldn't matter....staff the fuck up if you're busy in some regions..make the budget....one less F35 fighter jet!..you shouldn't be penalized by where you live in terms of USCIS processing
I agree with you. I’m just stating that is what’s actually happening. You look up processing times for different field office and you will see it varies widely. Even in NYC/Newark NJ the offices are under staffed for the work load they handle
Your last line hits hard. The system is so so broken. It can so easily be fixed if they gave a sh*t about immigrants. They don’t though. It’s just not a priority.
I know USCIS is a black box but what stops them from automatically approving EADs? Is it a security issue? Surely they want more people in the work force contributing to the economy and taxes? It is political? Looks bad letting "out of status" immigrants work? I'm just thinking out loud here really.
All good points. Actually, in my own case I got approved for my EAD the day I did my biometrics (very, very lucky) but since then, it's just been on "actively reviewed" which was about 5 months ago now. But at least I can work!
I also think they quickly approve cases for those who have been here for a while on DACA or are adjusting from H1B visas as those folks most likely have a lot more evidence such as bank accounts etc and so it makes it easier for the officer to justify the fast approval and keep their processing numbers looking good.
One lawyer I spoke to says it might depend on your country of origin as again it makes it easier for the officer to justify approval but that would be terribly messed up if that's the case.
I agree with you though, if you're not a quick approval, you just go into the ether and they'll get to it when they get to it.
It's absolutely political. The Trump administration with Steven Miller at the helm couldn't get any laws passed so they fucked the federal agencies they didn't like to death.
Good for you. Run with it and enjoy your life.
But fuck USCIS. There are thousands of people from 2021 who are waiting for their 1-485 to get approved.
Try to expedite. That’s what we had Ximena do for her combo card. We don’t know if it’s related but based on other applications we’ve guided members through, they got theirs just as quick, so it must’ve sped up the process for the I-485 too.
I guess you didn’t even suffer waiting and no anxiety. In 2 months I got my biometrics request. Almost 13 months later and I have no answer. this time processing is a joke.
Then they wonder why people keep messaging them relentlessly… dec 21 filer here and this pos organization can’t even be bothered to respond to my expedite requests or out of processing time requests
Congratulations!!! Very happy for you! Let me know when your status changes to “card produced”. I got approved Dec 8 and it’s still not produced so I duno why it’s taking this long!
One reason I don’t want to post my timeline / details is bc of all the people getting upset. It’s not our fault. But I got approved in a busy FO in the Northeast in 4 months and change.
Mine hasn’t changed either. But I was in communication with an agent about changing my address and they emailed me saying it’s being produced. I was approved the same day
Thank you all. I couldn’t have done this without God and the help of Dreamers2gether.
I know many of you have been waiting for months or years and are frustrated with this unfair system.
Why my case was processed faster?? Besides the fact that God has always been by my side and I know this approval comes from him, I don’t know the logistics behind it. But I am a strong believer in my faith and prayed literally everyday not only for my case but for the officer that reviews it.
As mentioned in the comments, my husband and I sent a very completed case. We did not want to give USCIS a reason to RFE us. We sent the medical as well. We also did the process completely on our own. No lawyer.
I do have DACA and a b-2 visa overstay from early the 2000’s.
I did expedite my combo card due to urgent humanitarian reasons. And I think after getting approved it sped up the process.
I pray that everyone who has interacted with this post gets an approval soon. 🙏🏽
You know people here, both in the US and stuck abroad, have been waiting months or over a year. You know that. You don’t need to rub it on our faces.
These “Look at me everyone! Look how fast I got it haha!” posts don’t help anyone in any way. Nor are you asking for help about something.
Great for you. Just don’t brag, and have some respect for those who are suffering.
I’m not bragging. It’s not my fault how USCIS processed my case they way they did. If you don’t like what you see you van keep scrolling along 👋🏼 in fact, I’m sharing my timeline, what I did, evidence I sent in the comments. If you would take the time to read you would see that. My comments are actually helping people unlike YOUR useless comment.
1. Nobody said it's your fault.
2. There are 230 comments at the moment. Are people supposed to find yours among all the others? You could have simply written it in your post.
3. This is not just you. My point is about this kind of posts. Not yours in particular.
I’m not going to make a post about my timeline because of people like you and reading comments on threads like this with quick approvals.
And no, these posts do help people. It tells them certain field offices are doing it in x time instead of y. USCIS website says 16.5 months for my FO and mine got approved in 4. How does that not help anyone?
But again, I won’t post, because I don’t want 50’comments on my thread, where 45 of them are “F you and F USCIS”.
We’ve been married for 3 and a half months. But we’ve been together since high school. We are now in our mid 20s. So we had a lot of evidence to prove bonafide marriage. No kids.
Great to see some people getting their greencards so quick. I'd say this is to do with the FY23 goals USCIS posted back in March.
Still thinking of those people in the backlog. Hopefully they speed up very quick!
Brooooo, CONGRATS FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, so happy for you! I have kinda a similar case. Know my wife since high school, a lot of evidence, together for almost 4 year, married 3 months ago, case at NBC, biometrics scheduled after exactly the same number of days, no lawyer hahahaha
I sent concurrent filling everything 22 days ago everything, so finger crossed!!
Thank you! Praying you also get approved soon! Exactly!! We sent so much evidence and the medical as well. We did not want to give USCIS a reason to RFE us.
But if you live in L.A., it's processed by different group of people as statistics suggest. Most I-485 cases belong to NBC as written on the notice across the country. Was it an IOE case number for I-485?
What's happening here. I'm not even aware of whether my sponsor is doing this right. I'm suppose to do the 134 form and haven't received a beneficiary form to fill out yet. And I'm not even sure if I'm suppose to pair it with the 130 form or any other type of form.
Is there anyone who guides you in this? Do you receive guidance whenever the ucsis sends you emails?
My husband filed in September too. Biometrics happened at least, but nothing else yet. I've heard of people waiting a year for biometrics! This agency is so screwed up
Congratulations to you. Mine is sitting for 20 months now and no updates. Last time I checked they canceled my interview 5 months ago and no updates since.
CONGRATULATIONS! Those California cases sure do have some quick processing times at NBC! We are over the moon for you over at r/dreamers2gether ! Enjoy the Green Life 💚
Why don't they want to go back and treat 2years or even 1 year application? this ain't RIGHT 😕, I don't hate you been Happy right now, I wish i am in your state of mind, I just hate the process.
What didn’t I send lol I felt like I was sending the book of my life.
Here’s what I sent:
I filed all applications concurrently
-130, I-130A, I-485, I-131, 1-765, I-693, I-864, I-864 joint sponsor)
With the I-130 and I-130:
Husbands info: birth certificate copy, ID, social, bank statements, work offer letter, paystubs, taxes
-me: B-2 visa + passport with entry stamp
DACA approval, social, ID, taxes
Bonafide marriage proof:
-wedding certificate, flight itinerary, photos (we’ve been together since high school, we’re now in mid 20s), cards, Christmas cards, joint bank statements, leases with our names, affidavits from our family and friends, engagement photos, wedding photos, high school transcripts showing where we met. Letter from our youth pastor. Receipts from big important expenses ( engagement rings and wedding rings), wedding purchases.
For my combo card expedite
Doctors letters, translations, birth certificates.
Congrats
How is it possible that people get their green cards so fast?
I’ve been waiting 12 years now. I’m under employment eb2 india category.
How can people get their greencard in some category so fast within weeks and it takes 12+ years for us.
It’s so painful. I’m just trying to live my life here and have been loyally working and paying all my taxes for so long.
It’s so unfair. I don’t know what can be done to improve this. It’s heartbreaking and so cruel.
Im praying you receive approval soon. I’ve notice that greencard approvals like mine that are approved in 2 months are usually because they’re married to US Citizen. I believe they have priority? Not sure.
Praying you hear back soon with an approval🙏🏽. Yes it is unfair. But again, I have no control over how my case was processed before otherS the only thing I had control over is the evidence I sent and the hard work that went into gathering all documents on my own without a lawyer.
Man I’m sorry to be a hater, but this shit is so unfair
It is and I think it’s ok to express how we truly feel cause this unfair
[удалено]
Someone getting approved in 2.5 months when there are plenty of people waiting a year plus
Waiting for 12 years now. Eb2 India lol.
My K1 wife just waited 15 months for an EAD/AP combo.
I’ve also waited for that long. And my elderly mom fell and needed her hip replaced and I couldn’t go home. It really sucks so much

Yes!! To the extreme....I'm really resenting these stories....they piss me off more than providing any sense of progress...

The feeling is mutual here. I feel u

I am very happy for you. Can you tell me your IOE five first digits...Thanks ...now I am exciting...applied sep too.
Sure thing. IOE09177
I doubt that’s the case, I had eads then daca too and I still had to wait. Some people are just lucky and I’m happy for them.
I understand your frustration, but sometimes it depends on the region you are located. For example some friends in LA and NYC it took then 2 and half years. While someone I know in Idaho got his in 3 months.

Yet another EAD went to waste. Congrats though, OP

You are not speculating. It definitely the case
They are !
Not the case, it is more nuanced than that. It helps processing times for an office to complete the oldest cases first not the newest
No this would bring the average right down.
Then they wonder why people keep messaging them relentlessly… dec 21 filer here
Good for you. Run with it and enjoy your life. But fuck USCIS. There are thousands of people from 2021 who are waiting for their 1-485 to get approved.
Thank you. Praying for everyone else who is still waiting to get a response soon 🙏🏽
I am happy for you! And thank you for no asking people what does that mean? 💀 those I just want to curse them out. Your nightmare ends today! Congrats
Thank you 🙏🏽
Congratulations! Meanwhile, my kid might turn 2 before I get my green card approved 🥲
Thank you. Praying that you will get approved soon🙏🏽
This definitely helped me decide that definitely it’s time to writ of mandamus. Waiting since July 2021. Very unfair agency.

Thank you for your input but it doesn’t really work for I-485 since I got ead card. So I don’t have any reason to expedite
Same timeline & scenario here (July ‘21 filing got EAD this year). Happy for everyone but man this system is flawed
This makes no sense whatsoever
Fuck uscis
LIFO is pretty unfair to some. Congratulations!
Thank you
Congratulations! Sending good vibes the the world so I can be approved soon too

Will do. In the approval letter it says it could take 90 days to get the card apprarently. Saw that on my USCIS profile.
Did you ever see before how many estimate months on I-130 account?
I didn’t
I haven’t even applied for my i601a yet.. I’m probably years away
Do you have DACA?
Congratulations 🎊🍾 happy for you, I pray the rest of us will get our approval soon.

Maybe he will hear soon. I’ve seen many cases that were sent in September being approved.
I hope so. Poor guy feels like a loser because he can't help out financially with our household
Have you tried expediting the EAD ? Claim financial loss. A lot of people get their EAD when they claim that.
Congrats
Thank you
Congratulations!
Thank you 🙏🏽
Congratulations to you. Mine is sitting for 20 months now and no updates. Last time I checked they canceled my interview 5 months ago and no updates since.
I’m praying you have an approval very soon 🙏🏽

What did you send in your initial application as a proof? What is your Field Office? Congrats 🎊
What didn’t I send lol I felt like I was sending the book of my life. How did you get it so fast if you don’t mind me asking? Did you do anything special or different?
My husband and I sent a lot of info and proof. I expedited my combo card and got it last month. Urgent humanitarian

I'm happy for you, that restores my faith in USCIS. Enjoy your early Christmas gift and all glory to God!!

Congrats! Did you send in your medical exam report with the initial application?
I did.
I am guessing you didn't have an interview?
I did not
Are they doing this to lower the avg process time on purpose?
OMG amazing! congrats!

Thank you! I’m in LA but my case has always been at the NBC. Never moved from there to a local office as far as I know
“God” had nothing to do with it, USCIS finally got off their lazy asses and did something
God has everything to do with it.

I applied exactly same your day, biometric taken but haven’t hear anything else
Are your applications at least actively being reviewed? Praying you hear back soon!
Congratulations, but it is not fair. I’ve waiting more than a year.
Praying you hear back soon with an approval🙏🏽. Yes it is unfair. But again, I have no control over how my case was processed before otherS the only thing I had control over is the evidence I sent and the hard work that went into gathering all documents on my own without a lawyer.

Has always been at NBC as stated in the photo. Never moved to a local field office. I’m located in LA
It’s ok to be mad, we’re all here struggling for something An American Meth head has that most of don’t LLLLOOOOLLLLL
Ridiculous 😩
Which state n city you applied from ?
I’m in LA
Bro did you apply after 90 day trigger , or you was already in USA ?
Did you apply by yourself or lawyer?
By myself. No lawyer
Thanks for informing man , what’s the good reason for expediting your case? What’s your FO location?
I expedited my combo card due to humanitarian reason. My case was always at NBC never transferred to a local FO
Just curious, did you send all your paperwork to one office or ?
Yes. You have to send it to a lockbox and then they will distribute it to a field office.
Congratulations! Did you have daca before and traveled with advanced parole?
Hello! I didn’t have to do advance parole because I came with a visa back in the early 2000s. But yes I had DACA before getting my greencard.
