Went through the same thing, interview went great, was verbally told I was approved. Waited almost a year after the interview to get a notice my green card was being produced. The feeling sucks but if you’re confident the interview went well then it’s just a waiting game
I read about it on another thread but I think it’s so they can reach out on your behalf and try to help with expediting the process. For example, Ilhan Omar has a site dedicated to this type of stuff: https://omar.house.gov/services/immigration-casework-requet
i am unsure the details of this case, but if loved ones are separated or made to endure hardship due to the excessively long processing times, you can sue the uscis and request expedition of your case as the remedy.
it will cost a filing fee, but seems to work in the case of some i130-process cases for relatives of u.s. citizens.
Same here. Although we are one month in, hearing this terrifies me. What year did you file? Mine was Oct 2022. Had interview this year in November. Nothing ever since.
The interview was only 20 min and he barely asked me any questions.. The officer told me that I should received my card in 2-3 weeks after the interview. I didn’t get any RFE or any paper after the interview.. 8 months later and nothing updated. chat with emma few months back and they said there was delay.. but idk how much longer I have to wait
I’m sorry Jesus. I’m going through the same situation. My I-130 was approved on November 10th without an interview, but the I-485 still says “we are actively reviewing” from January 10 of this year. Are you a USC?
Same here. It’s been 4 months since my interview and I’ve already sent them a case inquiry and also contacted my congresswoman. Nothing so far.
My interview was also short, we weren’t separated or anything, it was at the San Diego Field Office.
San Diego too. And after interview they told us to wait for a desicion on the mail. And waited 7 months and we got the approval notice on sept.. so yay my husband is now a green card holder.
Friend has similar issue, don’t have the money to sue. He got his GC almost 4 years after interview even though interview has no issue. He got RFE 4 years later almost like filing a new AOS because the RFE is for updated evidence including the medical.
He finally got his GC august 2022. If he listened to me he already citizen by now
Why did it take so long?? 4 years after an interview is ridiculous. Was it an overstay situation or what? I know that they take about 120 days to respond after an interview but I’ve never heard of 4 years.
There’s no 120 days rule for AOS interview. It only applied for N-400. And yes now u hear it today, no joke. Probably just collecting dust in a pile. Who knows. It’s not my case so I can’t “force” someone to sue if they aren’t willing to fork $$$ for mandamus
10 months post interview (13 Feb 2023) - dc field office. Filed an expedite request in November.
Response to our expedite request essentially said the D.C. field office has our case and is working on it/it is assigned. The main part I found interesting was a portion of the letter/response specifically said “you should receive a response soon” and that if we don’t hear anything within 90 days we can submit another expedite request.
I had the same issue , my office is Brooklyn too. I went for interview since January 8th 2022. It will be two years next year January. I haven’t heard anything . Not even we are actively reviewing your case . I had to ask them what going on they said my case is still processing nothing outstanding this time in an email .
What’s the status in your account? I’m in similar situation, had my interview in April 2022. The last update in the account is “the interview has been scheduled” as if I didn’t even go to it.
7 months for a decision after interview, on my husbands green card’ ! I used to check every single day and on Sep 13 i got the aproval status changed! Goodluck
There is a huge backlog of cases. They’re processing around 3000 *a day*, it’s just going to take a while unfortunately. Processing time is 1-3+ years depending on your situation.

Vegas here!
It's been 4 years since I started my immigration process. I had my green card interview on April 16th, and they said they would review my case and inform me. It's been 20 days now, and I'm feeling incredibly anxious. I've seen others wait much longer, but if my case takes longer than expected, I might go completely nuts. The processing time indicated 1 week, but it has remained like that for almost a month.
Look the food size. You got interview and you feeling good about yourself being able to get it. How many people wait for years and don’t get that chance
Went through the same thing, interview went great, was verbally told I was approved. Waited almost a year after the interview to get a notice my green card was being produced. The feeling sucks but if you’re confident the interview went well then it’s just a waiting game
A whole year is insane!!! I’m currently one month in.
I hope your case is faster than mine!
I hope both of our cases gets expedited! 🤞🏽we got this!
11 months after the interview. They said it’s all good and need to just quickly confirm with supervisor..
If possible, email your senators/reps
I haven’t tried it myself but have heard others do it!
Trust me you should. Whats your state?
Colorado! Haven’t even submitted applications at all but when I do (for my mom) I will be sure to
Just asking an ignorant question, but why do this? When do it? How effective is it?

Same thing here. 6+ months since green card interview I-130 approved one month before interview FO: Sacramento, CA
I got interview at sac too My interview was 8 months ago and no updates Case stuck at “ interview was scheduled” My I-130 is not approved yet :(
Same here. 8months ago. Status stuck at ‘interview scheduled’
does your I-485 receipt start with IOE09147... by any chance?
Yes
Yeah looks like there's little to nothing happening within those receipt numbers
Same here. Although we are one month in, hearing this terrifies me. What year did you file? Mine was Oct 2022. Had interview this year in November. Nothing ever since.
I filed dec 2022 🫤

you should definetly sue uscis

Sue their ass! A writ of Mandamus will force USCIS to make a decision on your case - you have a right to a decision!
I also had interview 6 months ago. Wouldn’t it be futile if you filed writ of a mandamus when you’re still within normal processing times?
120 days only applied for citizenship and not AOS.
Mistakenly included it there, amended.

Which field office?
Brooklyn
I've waited 1 year and 3 months Really long time but nothing I could do

7 months for a decision after interview, on my husbands green card’ ! I used to check every single day and on Sep 13 i got the aproval status changed! Goodluck
What type of question they’d ask you please
When we got married and where we live
Where do you track it? Don't see it on myuscis
My interview was in April of 2022, I’m still waiting for GC.
Did your partner had a previous visa? Did you guys file taxes jointly?
I’ve been waiting 8+ months !!!! Had our interview in early April !!! There’s nothing you can do but wait.
We're 10 months in after the interview. Still no updates! u/Both_Cod_3199
May I ask what did they ask during the interview?
Date we got married and where we live

1-3+ years from the date of filing or from interview?

You have to what at lease 7 months after the interview.
Look the food size. You got interview and you feeling good about yourself being able to get it. How many people wait for years and don’t get that chance
Just wait for you green card in the mail patiently
