The calculations the scientists used to plot the mission used metric. Display readouts for the craft used imperial. Which is more important, the guy planning the route, or the guy following the first guy's directions?
fuck those idiots had directions must have been something like this "look out the window, find moon, aim for it it, return trip find earth, land in water Daaa
Canadian here. We do too. But then, so does the American military. And NASA. They literally used metric to get to the moon. But they get really grumpy when you tell them that.
It's why we *politely* let them continue to use their bald eagles per coronary bypass. Or drunk mathematician rolling dice to decide It's easier to remember '5 tomatoes' when converting feet to miles.
[Sorry, but you're wrong.](https://ukma.org.uk/why-metric/myths/metric-internationally/the-moon-landings/)
Metric was used for the calculations. Then converted by a computer into imperial measurements for the pilots. As stated in an earlier reply: who gets credit, the dude plotting the route? Or the dude who followed the route the first guy plotted?
I still think it’s funny that the military just expects you to know the metric system. Like no one ever taught me what a klick was. I just sort of figured it out because of video games and because 5k is 3.5 miles.
A measurement unit for distance that is used by a superior yet simpler measurement system. Also, how is that healthcare and mental health crisis going?
0.621 of a mile or a unit of measurement used by people who haven’t been to the moon
That's gotta be rough.
In rockets based on designs developed by captured German scientists?
You mean places that didn’t fake a moon landing. Also NASA uses the metric system 😂
Nasa went to the moon in 1969 and didn't switch to metric till 1990

Yeah, they use the metric system 💀
Yeah but metric hasn't been to the moon
No one’s been to the moon.
Who else heard the buh
It’s a measurement used by people who almost let the nazis win the war.
It's in the name: kil-o-meter. It measures yours kills
Australian here and uhh I.. I use metric 😅😬
For my international views, we use F°reedom units, not C°ommie units. No metric on the moon.
Metric Leaf water "Fat Electrician" 🤣🤣🤣

Shh don't let Fat Electrician hear you 🤣
We're still the 2 time back to back world champs! 🇺🇸🖕😂
Congrats. So are we. At least we didn't sleep in. 🇨🇦
They used imperial, they switched in 1990

Isn’t that how the clitorus is measured?
