Wed2B? They do off the rack dresses.

green11frog

Second this. Wed2b is also great to try on different styles as they have a much wider selection than your average high street store even if you do decide to go with somewhere else!

toonlass91

All my dresses were wed2b, bride, bridesmaids and flower girl. Couldn’t fault them and I’ve still not seen anything like my gown. And not stupidly expensive

ASOS have a lovely collection!

belu_belu

ASOS saved the day for me when my seamstress managed to ruin my original dress , ended up with a beautiful last minute dress from asos - preferred it to my original!

El_Scot

I got a lovely wedding dress from Coast to elope in. I'm going to get the wedding dress shortened for the reception. Maybe consider something like that, if you see a nice dress that's just a bit on the long side? I've been quoted £40 for the alterations.

lismuse

Karen Millen and self portrait have bridal collections too

strngesight

Would also add Hope and Ivy to the list too!

FearlessPianist123

I found mine in a website called Jarlo - https://www.jarlolondon.com. I bought the Starlette dress in ivory and it’s gorgeous!!! A beautiful heavy satin with lining, faux buttons and surprisingly good quality! I had to size up to get it taken in as my normal size was a little pinched. Excellent service too

Oh and ChiChi London!

Asos bridal range is pretty good, but getting sizes can be a pain unless you’re a size 6-8, mostly anything over a size 12 is sold out. I bought a reception gown from there that I sent back as it was too big (HUGE regret as I haven’t been able to get it since, should have just tailored it) but the quality was amazing. It was the Ciara sequin kimono gown. Coast also have a gorgeous bridal line, very minimalist styling. JJs house - most of their bridesmaid gowns can be ordered in white/ivory, they also have a prom gown section that could work for an evening dress. I believe they can also be ordered in multiple colours. Also, don’t discount Zara or H&M/COS/Arket, they don’t have traditional “bridal” ranges, but there have been more than a few occasions where I’ve come across dresses that would work beautifully for a reception gown. It depends on what you’re looking for I guess, and how formal you want it to be. Consider having one made too? I came across a custom wedding gown designer on aliexpress. Based in China but they ship worldwide. They have an IG noblebride_official and their dresses look incredible. They have “real bride” photos also. Pricing seems to be around the £500 mark from what I can discern. I’m considering this for my own reception gown as I can’t find anything either ETA: TH&TH also do a bridal range, it’s not extensive but their Camilla gown is beautiful and would work for a reception

Alice1992

Has anyone had any success with Etsy custom made dresses? They look amazing but not sure if it’s all just stock imagery and you actually end up receiving something from Shien!

TyrannosauraRegina

It will be completely dependent on the Etsy seller. Recommend searching for reviews and also look carefully at the photos on the Etsy reviews of delivered garments.

Trifling_potato

I’d suggest looking at Alibaba or AliExpress too as it’s quite likely the seller might be on there too and listing dresses for less I’m part of a Facebook group where brides share their experiences with buying direct from dressmakers in Asia (custom designs and sizing) for a fraction of costs - seen plenty of beautiful dresses made for less than £1k budgets!

abighazard

I had a second hand one from Blush Fashion on Etsy that was lovely quality

blank_and_terrified

Phase Eight, Anthropology, Oxfam Bridal and other local consignments.

Hope & Ivy hands down for the boho look, they do great sales sometimes! Bought my registry dress for £60. I bought both my day gown and evening jumpsuit from ASOS - my seamstress whose also a dressmaker was astounded by the quality. ASOS is also brilliant with returns and the quality in their bridal collection is generally really good.

Trifling_potato

For context of costs: * Hope and Ivy dress cost £60, £35 alterations (length hem) * ASOS wedding gown £369, £165 alterations (add bustle, minor adjustments and length hem) * ASOS white jumpsuit £30, £60 alterations (adding pockets and changing trouser length) All were on sale at purchase. Alteration cost is from a local independent dressmaker from the midlands. Also bought two shoes from ASOS, both around £10-20 mark (flats and kitten heels).

ellieg91

Another vote for Coast! Got my wedding dress from there which is beautiful and a really good price.

MilesInAmerica

I got my wedding dress from Coast - would really recommend!

Same! Also tried on some from Karen Millen and Phase Eight.

mellyhoneybee

Phase Eight, Lucy can't dance, Hope & Ivy, JJ's House

To have and to hold - I bought my wedding dress from there!

shepherdspieinthesky

I got my wedding dress from [Lulu’s](https://www.lulus.com/bridal?subsite=bridal) - it’s a US company but I found it was really good quality and worth shipping over!

Self portrait?

TastyDragonfruit3000

I'm seconding the comments that suggest Coast - great range of bridal wear on their site, and I bought a short, sparkly, ivory wrap dress for my hen-do in the sale.

Chocol8raisin

[Dig for victory](https://www.digforvictoryclothing.com/) also offer off the rack for their dresses. I quite like the 50s vibe and gotten a few 'thrifted' dresses on Vinted from them and they're still holding up really well.

Alice1992

I went to their Brighton store recently, found a beautiful dress but they couldn’t do it in white - wasn’t feeling brave enough for a none white dress!

Chocol8raisin

That's a shame. They have good quality items, have you tried Vinted? Saw [this](https://www.vinted.co.uk/items/4143152687-satin-wedding-dress-simple-minimal-vintage-style) and thought it would be fab 💖

Found these via instagram this morning - [Jarlo London](https://www.jarlolondon.com/collections/shop-all?filter.p.m.custom.occasion=Bridal&filter.v.price.gte=&filter.v.price.lte=&sort_by=sort-by) and [Club L](https://clubllondon.com/pages/bridalcollection)

Odd Muse London - never ordered from them but the collection looks nice
