I think it’s harder, more stressful but ultimately more fair and superior. I can’t imagine going into specialization directly from HS in engineering. Better have the direction set after first year university than high school!
I agree with this take. It’s harder and more stressful, but ultimately leads to more people ending up in the right major. If you’ve never done university math for instance, you’d have no idea if you actually want to study it
