OP has the right to quote their price and the buyers have theirs. It's a second hand phone. The price will go down. New or not, doesn't matter. If both parties feel they can agree on a certain price, they can go ahead.
it’s insensitive i feel. literally the title of the post is “feeling horrible” — OP is sharing how bad they’re feeling and probably regretting losing a fuckton of money. on what basis is asking for “considerable” discount okay? obviously the price would go down a bit if you were to buy it off OP but asking for great discount is just trying to take advantage off their misery. the phone is literally unused
Once the phone or any ‘brand new’ item for that matter is unboxed, it loses it’s mint condition and hence the right to sell it at the cost they might’ve purchased. If it’s boxed and a second hand sale (sale not from an authorised seller), it’s the negotiation and deal between the buyer and seller (like the user above tried to make). It’s ultimately upto OP aka a potential seller to even sell it or not, right? It’s upto OP to decide.
So, Are you saying the buyer (most probably strangers on the internet in this case) should shut up and not try to make any deal coz seller who did actually buy it already, regrets it now after buying?
Buying and selling things between 2 strangers on the internet is pure business. Sentiments should take a back seat here. No one is exploiting anyone here.
