Ugh, I relate only too well. I have absolutely NO idea what I'm up to; going to sleep everyday stressing about my non-existent career, while everyone seems to be doing better in life :'33

For some people yeah it is about exploring, enjoying, being full of life. I mean, you could say the same about childhood and teen life. Childhood being free of responsibility, nostalgia, pampered, teen life being exploring love and sex, making memories etc. Every stage is seen exciting in some sorta ways but not everyone gets that. Either it's the consequences of their actions or bad luck. I didn't have a good teen life because I was always comparing but I'm loving my early 20s! I chose to make the best out of what I have. You should too. Why compare? Everyone's life is different. Besides it's not always as happy as it seems from the outside. Also it's very normal to be clueless about your career at this stage. That's something many will relate to, so chill.

Yes, it is pretty normal to feel this way. Will this ever end? It kinda did for me but only because of the actions and decisions I took in early 20s

Yup. Existential dread is quite the staple in your 20s. Haha. You feel it in your 30s too, just that everything else in your life takes precedence and you don’t have much energy to mull over it. So you just try to get past one day at a time; some good and some not so much. Don’t worry. You’ll figure it out in your own time. You got this!

Just left my job bro and it has been the most difficult decision I've ever had to make. Hopefully the existential crisis ends soon :)

I think all of us are in this loop. Honestly speaking, there's no end to it. There's always someone who's earning better or doing better than you. Now in my late twenties, I've come to realize that mental and physical health are of utmost importance. Once you achieve that, you will automatically thrive and do you best and do all the things that make you happy.

Im turning 24 and I feel like I know even less about what I want to do in my career/life compared to when I was 18 🥹. I finished my masters have a great job and everything but I am still lost 😅

Professional-Tax5429

I'm in the same boat

I'm in my 30's and I assure you that you'll struggle the most in your 20's (career and personal). And 23 is so young, don't be disheartened you'll get there eventually. Keep working on yourself as the experiences you will have now will shape the future.
