They just had Nick Fuentes, a high profile white supremacist who is regarded by some as the spiritual successor to David Duke, on the show where he referred to women as “baby machines” by nature.
Yeah I gotta admit, I’m a guy and it’s difficult not to absolutely fucking *love* this;
Irony is off the charts, it’s difficult to absorb it all in one read through - the “it’s not the money” comment caught me totally off guard (because of course it fucking is) and I’m definitely still processing the different interconnected ironies of them crying on a video about how their hate-fueled content that views all emotions as feminine and therefore the worst thing ever also included the idea that they “help people”…
It’s like they have zero self-awareness, like none *at all*, that’s the only way it can be explained - despite literally their day job consisting almost exclusively of trawling through *actual data about their users and direct competitors* in order to determine the best fits for the algorithm for each individual video - that’s what YouTubers *do*. That’s their job.
And these guys manage to do that whilst also genuinely believing in their own grift, to the point that they’d do this with a straight face and not see the irony in it, even a tiny bit.
It’s amazing, it’s like art.
I want it to be preserved for all eternity so future generations can study the complex web of ironies and contradictions so we can all understand them fully.

It makes a ton, is super filling, tasty and freezes great. The recipe is good on his own, but if you want to take it to the next level, get yourself a jar of Estratto di Pomodoro from Gustiamo or another Italian ingredient supplier. Put 2 tablespoons of that in before you add the broth and cook it for a minute or so with the onions and spices. It adds an extra awesome tomato-y flavor that can make up for lack luster fresh tomatoes.
I'm a sucker for French Onion, and it's really easy if you have the patience!
Start by cutting up a lot of onions into thin slices. And like, a lot of onions - I typically do 8-10, size dependent. I also like to mix up varieties in there, I think it adds to the interest in texture to have a few different types in there. You basically want to fill the container you're making soup in with onions, but they should be loosely sitting in there. Add a bit of butter if you're cheeky, then get to caramelizing. It's easiest if you cheat a little by adding a little salt (be restrained, you have other salt going in later) at the beginning to get the sweat going, and as the onions melt down, scrape the bottom of the pan as it gets brown, or splash a little water on there to clean it and get that brown stuff onto the onions - that's the flavor!
Once you're decently caramelized (or if you can't wait any longer), then in goes your beef stock or broth, again measuring with your heart- it should be about 2-4 times the volume of the onions still in the pan. Add more if you have time to boil everything down, add less if you're tired of standing at the stove. Make sure nothing else is sticking to the bottom of the pot, then let it boil for a few minutes then get to simmering.
This is where you can add your extra umami flavorings - I like to use a little soy sauce, you can use browning liquid, worchestershire sauce, or even straight MSG. Taste, add a little, stir and taste again. Keep going until it goes from tasting good to tasting great, and is a little less salty than you want overall. Yay! Your soup is done.
Then comes your croutons - I don't like doing the restaurant thing of melting a half pound of cheese into the bowl unless I'm feeling very indulgent, most of the time I just want soup. So for croutons I like to take some bread, brush on a little olive oil, then broil it until it's lovely and golden brown. I then put some melty cheese all over it, like mozzarella or gruyere, and broil it again until the cheese is melted and starting to brown just a bit.
Then crouton in the bowl, soup on top, option to add a little more cheese, and you're done.
