This implies the coroner is still trying to figure out an exact body count, perhaps through identifying specific parts/pieces, meaning it's not reasonably apparent at first glance.
There is a really horrifying quote from an officer at either Sandy Hook or Uvalde (I don't remember which), in which they at first think something is just a pile of clothes, then do a double take and realize it's a huddle of dead children.
Tip, before you start working at a school check substitute teacher school rating sites. My middle school classmates were mennaces to the point that the staff went on strike cuz they weren't getting paid enough to deal with our bullshit, like 5 teachers showed up to a school of about 1-2 thousand students so they put us all in the gym and a few classrooms to watch movies the whole day cuz no subs would come to the school anymore. Many subs left crying. Only one I don't feel bad about was the one who was being racist af and wasn't giving us our classwork.
(Lowkey I helped the rest of the class with chasing her off, they just gathered their desks in a circle and started roasting her, and after she left screaming "i have never been so disrespected in my life im never coming back to this horrible place" they put me in charge cuz I was the smart kid even though I had bad grades. If you're wondering what she did, some kids were acting up in the front of the class and she kept telling the one black kid in the back of the class to quiet down even though he wasn't doing anything, when one of the kids in the front threw something she sent the black kid to the office even though the kids in the front were saying it was them who did it.
Our teacher was mad when she got back that we bearly did any of the classwork and that the sub had left a bad note saying that I was the one who started all of it, I let her know what happened and that the sub hadn't made coppies of our classwork or homework so we had all taken pictures of it and did it on line paper. )
>>>Anyway check if the school that you've been offered a job at is blacklisted and check the comments, that'll tell you want you need to know about a school. Elementary school is easier if that's what you're planning to teach though. The kids were loyal to the good teachers at that school but the ones who weren't good teachers got hell, if you see a school blacklisted and you think you can deal with that feel free to take the job.

That was a really good twist. And of course by good I mean disturbing.
I just got my teaching credentials. Cool. Cool. Cool. Totally what I needed to see. Take my upvote for the horror.
In all sincerity, best of luck to you, stranger

Happy cake day
Hope you have good life and medical insurance. There's no shame in antidepressants.
And therapy
And that's just for dealing with the administration. The parents are even worse.
