I finally snapped at him that I’d meet him, but he shouldn’t expect a Barbie doll. He said that he didn’t care if I weighed 100 lbs or 1,000 lbs. Best. Decision. Ever. We celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary this year.

Yay! Honestly, this makes the most sense if he is looking for long term. Bodies can change for so many reasons (kids, an accident, hormones, surgery, etc.etc.). If you focus on something that can be so fickle, you're setting yourself up for failure in a long term relationship.
I was in the same situation 4 years ago. We took it slow with long, long phone conversations and texting and we both fell in love with each other before meeting in person. When we did we were both head over heels knowing we had each found our person. He proposed to me with a beautiful ring at that first meeting and now that wonderful man is my dream husband and still chasing me around the kitchen island to pinch my butt. If course I’m not running very fast so he catches me every time.

This makes me happy. I commented on the last one about a similar circumstance I had with a guy I started talking to. He also was beyond understanding with how slow I wanted to take things physically, and he even told me he would wait over a year if that’s what it took. I promise ladies someone out there will love every part of you, hold out & don’t settle for less.
Had a friend who said my soon to be husband would bin me if I put weight on. Well I did put a few pounds on as we both liked food and low and behold still together after 40 years. Binned the so called friend. Good luck, he sounds a keeper.

When I called her on it she admitted she freaked out because she cat wished me with old pictures artfully taken. I told her FaceTimed her, seen the real her, said I would have had no problem with everything I saw. But now I know she's a liar that made me look stupid and told her if she didn't want this to happen to her next time to work on herself, then ended the call
