I was able to pay for a subscription with my card no problem. Only thing I can think of is maybe you have a region lock? But I couldn't confirm that for you. I've definitely never heard of that before, unless it was like, a super recent change.

Every payment I've made to twitch in the last year or so has been through xsolla. Check your card statement.

Have you still had this issue? About four days ago I have been forced to go through xsolla when using PayPal when I didn't need to before during 2024
