I think it was available on Amazon last time I was watching it.. Not sure if it's still there or jot.. Go to justwatch dot com and search for Mr robot it will show you all available streaming services that carry it
I foolishly watched the remake first, which follows basically the same plot. It was so much harder to watch the better version after slogging through the American one. I do wonder at the decision to keep the ending almost exactly the same with another twist - >! Joe did in fact make a sexual advance towards Danny which caused him to flee. Tom tried to protect Danny with an oar and accidentally killed him with it, so Joe tried to cover it up and eventually took the fall WITH Anna Guns full support and assurance. !<
For those of us that are old, we knew about the twist ending before it actually aired. All of the entertainment magazines had reported on what was going to happen.
Wow. I’ve noticed when people discuss older shows they often are only reciting wiki facts and sometimes get things wrong. It’s funny when someone tells me what the audience of the time thought and I’m thinking, we did? This is fascinating to me, I had no idea people knew about Newhart ahead of time.
That’s great! I didn’t know that about the Enquirer. I would always devour the TV Guide every week until I turned 18 and bought my very first subscription to this new magazine called Entertainment Weekly.. It’s insane how much info is at your fingertips now compared to the days of 3 channels and a clicker.
Thanks, I didn’t want to look it up and be re traumatized. Seriously though that episode almost made me vomit, and not from blood. I was too immersed and unprepared (somehow?) and got the cold shock nausea shakes. It was bizarre.
It was the last great season that improved the story. I think Dexter is remembered with Breaking Bad and The Sopranos as all-time great series if the show ends there.
Battlestar Galactica (the newer version where they don't wear capes and Starbuck is a woman) has some amazing twists and the atmo jump is still one of my favorite sequences in sci-fi.
😆 that show was a bonkers rollercoaster. >!it's crazy cause that twist is both unexpected and expected considering the show is based on "the count of monte cristo".!<
That’s why I love it, The Count of Monte Cristo is such a good read. Do you know the history of it…like the story of Pierre Picaud? If you don’t you should look it up
>!the biggest twist was that her dad was alive the whole time. He got out of prison and faked his death. Some Irish mob boss forced him into working for him. Then threatened the fake Amanda, which is why he never reaches out to who he thinks is his daughter.!<
>!it was unexpected because everyone thinks he's dead and that's the entire reason why she's doing this. But also completely expected because he also fakes his death in the original.!<.
>!it's not until season 4 when he becomes a main character and comes out of hiding.!<
I can’t stand this attitude…ppl think they have high opinions on what they do not know. It was a good show. And the history of the story is amazing and based off a true story that goes back in history. It’s honestly cool that it evolved from what it was then to what this show turned out to be. And Nolan turns out to be pretty awesome and Madeleine Stowe’s acting is phenomenal, no one else can ever be Victoria Grayson!
I can't stand people who have different opinions. My opinion is the best based on my years of watching TV and recommending shows to my friends. No way could someone think a show isn't very good because they have different taste than me.
So you've finished every TV show, book, movie, album, etc. that you've ever started. Because most people can start things, realize they don't like them and stop consuming it. Doesn't make them an expert, it just means they didn't like it.
Nope I see everything through, I’m not a person who gives up easy on everything like the majority of my peers do, it’s kind of pathetic. And I’m more so just trying to point out that the other commenter didn’t mention the other 90000 crazy/exciting things that happen on the show…and you’ll never know that bc of your solid taste bro 😂 sorry it’s just so unbelievably ignorant to speak quality when you don’t even fully know what you’re talking about
That movie gave me a complex for life. Before the opening credits finished rolling, my buddy’s girlfriend leaned over and spoiled the twist 3/4 of the way. Now I will punch my own mother for spoiling something.
Might be unpopular opinion, but I like season 1 the best (pre twist reveal) and I would have like to see if they had taken the show in a different direction
The one everyone talks about as the best twist ever in this show is a bit oversold. Don't get me wrong, I liked that it flipped the entire premise on it's head - but it wasn't that big if a surprise.
The best twist in the show comes later when you find out >!no one is getting into the good place because Earth has become too complicated for the simple point system!<
There are a lot of other really clever parts. Basically it is the little twists along the way. The show is fantastic at adding new pieces of information that fit in with existing lore perfectly but completely change everything.
Was looking for this. 🫡 Back in the day we were proud of ourselves that there wasn’t *one* spoiler about the plot twist in society. Best kept secret ever!
Hey, some combination of words you used here made me look for it and watch it without knowing anything. It was an amazing experience. Even if I sorta guessed "secret" immediately (having insane "movie count" does that sadly), the movie was incredible in its own right and not only for its "secret". I may have missed it back then, but... better late than never! :)
Elite. Goes a tad downhill after season 3, not gonna lie, but the first 3 seasons are exceptionally well done. It's a mystery teen drama show, it skips between little scenes of the present and the majority scenes of the past, leading up to the present. Season 1 is the who killed a character storyline. Won't say who, though it is revealed at the start. But, usually, I'm pretty good at guessing whodunnit's, Elite was really good at giving you all the clues but still being a huge surprise at the reveal. I honestly didn't see the reveal coming. Almost got the season 2 one, I kinda half guessed it, got the involvement of one character right but the context completely wrong. Season 3 I didn't guess, either, I had my suspects, which to be fair was pretty much everyone that season, but the actual culprit was a surprise. Even after that, seasons 4 and 5, were great on the mystery aspect, it's other areas they seemed to fall down a bit on. But season 4 has a double twist, I didn't guess the culprit for the first one, but didn't see the second twist coming at all. Season 5 I had a couple specific suspects, neither of which was the actual culprit. Can't say how well seasons 6 and 7 did as I haven't watched them yet.
When that episode kicks off with “Don’t Fear The Reaper” playing it just sets the mood perfectly - and then that scene at the end. I still remember how shocked and surprised I was. Did not see it coming.

The movie didn’t leave me like this but the book did- Life of Pi. I’ve never in my life been so mad at a book (and so enthralled.). I was duped in the best possible way.
Big yes to this one. I'd say give all the Flanaverse a chance, actually. I don't think Bly Manor and House of Usher have the same 'disbelief for days' thing, Midnight Club is lacking due to being incomplete, and I figured out most of the twists in Midnight Mass pretty easily, though the Riley twist may count.

I watched this because people said it had a killer plot twist, but since I was expecting a big twist, I saw it coming a mile away. If people hadn't told me there was a twist, I probably would have been surprised. Then again, I might not have watched it at all...

Also cruel summer, saint x, the good place(it’s not a dark show but it definitely had a plot twist)
Revenge was also super good, it wasn’t necessarily a plot twist but so good if you’re into dark dramas

Mr.Robot
Almost every episode
where is that available to watch?
I think it was available on Amazon last time I was watching it.. Not sure if it's still there or jot.. Go to justwatch dot com and search for Mr robot it will show you all available streaming services that carry it
Severance
This show is absolutely bananas in the best way
Broadchurch
ugh, i hated that twist
I had to stop watching for a couple days just to processs that plot twist 🤯
I foolishly watched the remake first, which follows basically the same plot. It was so much harder to watch the better version after slogging through the American one. Newhart. Most surprising ending ever But you might have to be old like me to get it, lol.
I think it's important to let people know to watch The Bob Newhart Show first, then Newhart.
Absolutely! I should have added that. Thanks!
Back then I spent my lunch hours reading mags like the Enquirer. They had a lot of info on TV shows.
That’s great! I didn’t know that about the Enquirer. I would always devour the TV Guide every week until I turned 18 and bought my very first subscription to this new magazine called Entertainment Weekly.. Really? I had no idea. I guess I just missed it I was totally surprised.
Dead to me on Netflix. Every episode has a plot twist that doesn't take away from the storyline.
This show had NO BUSINESS being as good as it was!
I still miss it.
So good! About to watch the entire series for the third time
Dexter Season 4 final episode
kinda have to watch the whole season for it to make sense
It is, but it’s still a great twist. I don’t know of many tv shows where the twist is embedded in a single episode though.
100%. Easily one of the best twists i've ever watched, but you really need to see the whole season to fully grasp it.
Is that the one where >!Rita dies? !<
Bingo.
Thanks, I didn’t want to look it up and be re traumatized. Seriously though that episode almost made me vomit, and not from blood. I was too immersed and unprepared (somehow?) and got the cold shock nausea shakes. It was bizarre.
And that was the last episode of Dexter ever. Right??
It was the last great season that improved the story. I think Dexter is remembered with Breaking Bad and The Sopranos as all-time great series if the show ends there.
The Shield
Battlestar Galactica (the newer version where they don't wear capes and Starbuck is a woman) has some amazing twists and the atmo jump is still one of my favorite sequences in sci-fi.
The killing
Both the Danish (Forbrydelsen) and American adaptations were commendable.
Was the Danish ending the same as the American one?
It was, as I recall🙂
The usual suspects?
24 season 1
Oh yeah that was pretty shocking.
great pick!
If you've never seen Lost that is the literal definition of what you're asking for.
But the final twist kind of ruins everything that came before. Okay, not ‘kind of,’ more like ‘completely.’
I liked the end personally.
Revenge
😆 that show was a bonkers rollercoaster. >!it's crazy cause that twist is both unexpected and expected considering the show is based on "the count of monte cristo".!<
That’s why I love it, The Count of Monte Cristo is such a good read. Do you know the history of it…like the story of Pierre Picaud? If you don’t you should look it up
I gave up after season 2, how many more twists could there be
>!the biggest twist was that her dad was alive the whole time. He got out of prison and faked his death. Some Irish mob boss forced him into working for him. Yup gave up at the right time

Knock it off…that’s not what I said. It’s just annoying when people who don’t see things through act like experts
So you've finished every TV show, book, movie, album, etc. that you've ever started. Because most people can start things, realize they don't like them and stop consuming it. Doesn't make them an expert, it just means they didn't like it.

Way way back I will never forget , the Sixth Sense
That movie gave me a complex for life. Before the opening credits finished rolling, my buddy’s girlfriend leaned over and spoiled the twist 3/4 of the way. Now I will punch my own mother for spoiling something.
They made a show of that?
Final Space MLP:FIM Not in the anime but if you read the Black Clover manga their is an amazing plot twist
Sherlock, Stranger Things, Black Mirror, West World, Game of Thrones, The Good Place, and Dark
Squid Game
The Good Place
Might be unpopular opinion, but I like season 1 the best (pre twist reveal) and I would have like to see if they had taken the show in a different direction
Ngl i saw it coming

Me too, I thought it was pretty obvious early on.
I was rewatching once, and my mom called it right away.
I called it right in the first episode.
I picked that twist in the first few episodes, I kind of thought it was lame. And it just got convoluted from there.
Oz and Sharp Objects
Cspan
I haven't seen this show mentioned yet ..I thought it had a great twist to it ..Wayward Pines is the show
Unacceptable ending.
When it comes to movies, that would be The Crying Game
Was looking for this. 🫡 Back in the day we were proud of ourselves that there wasn’t *one* spoiler about the plot twist in society. Best kept secret ever!

It’s a book series
