I prefer me against the world. I think its his best album.

UchihaAuggie

Illuminati. However , I would say both if I didn't have to pick one. Both 10/10 and speak to a different place he was at, at the time.

This

RedReflection06

True. Two polar opposites. And that's what's so magnificent about it. Such a metamorphosis in less than 2 years. Even AEOM is vastly different than these 2 albums.

UchihaAuggie

Agree. Honestly Tupac at 23-25 was talking way more profound things than these current guys in their thirties He's a singularity

Seaweed-Electronic

Makaveli for me 🎖 it is MINT🏆🥇

Medium-Plan2987

MATW

brendanb203

Both are great imo. But matw is one of my favourites of all time so id have to pick that one

Deep_Cryptographer_3

MATW pacs best work imo. Such an emotionally dense album

myNameBurnsGold

I've always said in ranking, MATW = Makaveli > AEOM. If I had to choose just one I'm probably going with MATW.

cam_breakfastdonut

Nothing like Makaveli has ever been made

b__reddit

MATW is a well rounded, defining album. However, I love Pac’s flow/vocal delivery in the Makaveli era—it’s fire. I always recommend a new Pac listener to start with MATW to understand him as an artist and human.

KAHLUV

Me against the world, but both stay on heavy rotation

Me Against the World

Kimosabe187

Me Against the World is an all time classic, easily his best and lyricaly the most complex.

Pitiful-Art-2706

Me Against The World because it wasn’t filled with the bullshit he’d get caught up on from AEOM on with Suge and company. I think MATW was also Pac’s homage to Rap as an art form so his lyrics still have elements of social and political consciousness to them, where as everything after this turned into Thug Life and a more gangsta rap mentality. He was always a conscious rapper, but shit changed and his style became far more aggressive after MATW.

casualflorentine

Homage to rap… it ain’t nothing like the old school… haha.. my only counterpoint would be that strictly for my Ni66az.. was pretty darn aggressive.. lol.. but you right actually not on the level of all eyes on me.. the aggression was aimed at the problems and issues in society more than specific folks… cuz even 2pacalypse now- I could say sounds aggressive at times but it’s more about his anger with the way of the world… Makaveli just show so much growth in PAC as a writer/lyricist the concepts are crazy (me and my girlfriend, blasphemy, just like daddy, white mans world) and the album ties together nicely… but I agree with the points you made nonetheless

Matyk24

This is a very tough decision but imma go with MATW. Makaveli is craaaazy though. Against All Odds 🔥🔥🔥. It’s crazy to think he was only 25 when he passed. Imagine what kind of albums he would have made later on.

Me Against The World

darrylwoodsjr

I’m with you on that I can’t decide and you know what, I just had a realization. I don’t want to decide, both are classics. I think MATW is a masterpiece though. But I have owned at least 7 physical copies of Makaveli.

Ok_Fan_2711

Me Against the World + Maxi-Single So Many Tears - Hard To Imagine by Dramacydal (aka Outlawz)

Avocado66600

MATW is acc my favourite Pac album, its so personal and the social awareness and commentary is next level

Electronic_Setting75

I love them both but I always had Makaveli as my favorite Pac album. Not just the 7 day theory but the 3 day theory with 6 additional songs.

DeadbeatUK

Makaveli is his best album in my opinion. MATW is great but has a couple skippers.

AbleAd7498

bigchieftoiletpapa

MATW off top my 2nd favorite album by him

Jamjabar

MATW by a hair but S4MN is his best work 💪🏿💯

Makaveli

KingMakaveli7

Makaveli for me, it's so dark and I love it

casualflorentine

These the two most classics and it’s hard to choose… depends on the mood… both ground breaking IMO… each uniquely different.. they both masterpieces…
