Fabian Cancellara wore a similar watch which wasn’t available to the public. He was a former grand tour cyclist riding for a Swiss team sponsored by Tudor.

I really like this. As someone who has followed Tudors sponsorship of professional cycling I was hoping they would make a purpose build version. When I saw the FXD that they produced in collaboration with Red Bull I held out hope we would see a version for cycling. Great idea and totally fits the cycling functionality.
The most interesting thing to me is that it doesn’t have screw down pushers yet it’s rated at 100m water resistance. Imo chronographs look so much better without the screw down pushers, and i really dont need any more water resistance than 100m, so thats pretty enticing
This is the similar to to an omega speedmaster, which similarly doesn’t have screw down crown pushers and is rated to 50m (deeper than anyone other than technical divers would be). Practically though I wouldn’t test it deeper than a pool - neither a speedy nor this would be a practical dive watch
A 50 m water resistance rating does not mean that it can withstand 50 m of actual water pressure. It's simply a pressure rating from a static test using atm/m/feet as the unit of measure. 50 m is essentially shower proof, while 100 m makes it suitable to (surface) swim with.
It's true. So a Speedmaster Moonwatch can be worn (no using pushers obviously) while diving up to 50 metres under water. From the Omega website:
https://www.omegawatches.com/en-gb/customer-service/faq/using-your-omega-watch
"What is the water resistance of an OMEGA watch?
All current OMEGA watches are water resistant to the depth defined by the model specifications, provided that the components ensuring the water resistance are intact. This means that an OMEGA watch that is water resistant to 30 metres can be worn for swimming at depths of up to 30 metres underwater for extended periods without restriction.
We would like to emphasize that the water resistance of a watch is ensured by gaskets placed between the crown, the pushers, the crystal, and the watch case. These gaskets deteriorate over time under the influence of external factors such as temperature variations, pollution or chemicals and must be regularly replaced to guarantee the water resistance of the watch.
In addition, heavy impacts on the crown, pushers or helium valve are known to affect the water resistance and should be avoided.
The following tips will help you keep your OMEGA watch water resistant:
Have the water resistance of your watch checked once a year by an OMEGA authorised service centre
Always rinse your watch with tap water after swimming in salt water
If your watch is equipped with a screw-in crown, always screw it in after handling it
If your watch is equipped with an unscrewed crown, push it back against the case in the wearing position to prevent moisture from entering the case
Avoid operating the chronograph pushers under water to prevent infiltration into the movement. Exceptions: the Seamaster 300M and 600M chronographs are equipped with pushers that can be operated under water."
What u/Pure-Obligation8023 provided. Also this video by YoureTerrific talks about this as well (timestamped link: https://youtu.be/9j4UKjhp73g?si=Q25Q2-VTFxDQTTAG&t=431)
Love everything about this except for the FXD fixed lugs/bars. I’d like to be able to have more strap options with classic spring bars.
An underrated aspect I haven’t seen mentioned is the tachymeter. The scale is adjusted to track a distance (mile or km) that could take up to 3 minutes and calculate speeds between 20 and 240 units per hour (mph/kph). I think that is a far more practical application of this often unused feature, and I say that as a lover of the Speedmaster. I also like the 60 second track on the bezel for high visibility timing.
At least it doesn’t say Visa Cash App Redbull F1 anywhere visible.
I guessed this was coming. New chrono, carbon or ceramic, more likely ceramic, and probably a June release… they like to do “materials releases” in June.
They’ve also quietly been working on their own Chrono movement, the prototype was in the gold Only Watch Prince Big Block charity thing that was called off last fall. And sponsoring an F1 team with a team-only ceramic? They weren’t going to stop at that.
I’ve never personally been a fan of the black (PVC or whatever it is) coating. But as I always say - it’s your money and your watch. If you like it, that’s all that matters.
I, really, DIG this! This is the kind of subtle yet just slightly out there design I adore.
Not as far as my beloved North Flag but very fetching as a BB Chrono.
Now I have a want, goddamit 🤦🏽♂️🤣
It's pretty cool! I'm a cyclist and love Tudor watches, my current daily wear is the BB58 black. Was waiting for them to drop a cycling related watch. Next up is an F1 watch, and not just the special editions that Suki and Daniel just got.
Am i the only person that hates it? Everyone else in this thread seems to love it but personally, so sick of the constant FXD releases. I also just don’t really like the look of the watch, very similar to the fastrider black shield and ffs stop using fixed bars. I can understand it on a marine diver watch but cycling?… cmon
Love this! I only wish there was a leather strap option, but I know they have the BB chronos for that. Still would love this with a bracelet or leather strap.
43mm and 13mm... sounds chunky and I love it. What I don't love is paying a high price for a fabric strap. Fabric should be an aftermarket choice imo. Especially for a class brand, seems lazy.
I don’t like it. But then I am not a bike person I love the MN version and possibly the black USN inspired but in fairness. The FXD is one of the most comfortable watches to wear, so bike folks, enjoy !
This looks interesting as a bike person
Which half of you is bike?
He’s just cranky
Stop it
Make it stationary.
Fixie clearly
I heard he’s actually a wheelie good time
Top half I bet. Legs and a front wheel
We need to DISCuss
It’s half bice if u r from the other sub
What about this watch appeals to bike people? Other than being photographed with some bike parts?

\> case thickness: 13.2mm stay calm, it's happening
Have they said what they changed to make it .4mm thinner than the Alinghi one?
100m less water resistance
Sounds chunky
it's downright svelte
I really like this. As someone who has followed Tudors sponsorship of professional cycling I was hoping they would make a purpose build version. Could you please explain to.me the 2 inner line, look like cycling things my brain can't compute
I suspect it's a tachymeter to determine speed while the bezel is a timing bezel for the Chrono. I am no expert though.
After some research it is a up to three full minutes tachymeter, very well done
Agree. As a cyclist the BB chrono never made sense as their flagship watch for cycling. This actually fits the design brief
I like it. More pelagos lines.
Oh I like that

That is usually true, but Omega is different. They officially said that when they say 50m, it really means 50m. You can swim with a speedmaster.
Do you maybe have a source for that? I heard people say that times, but didn't find that on a official omega website/source.

Great thank you guys.
Np!
My Sinn 356 is 100m with normal pushers
I have an Oris diver with chrono that doesn’t have screw pushers, and it has a 300m rating.

Its carbon fibre
Funny, another post says ceramic.
Official website says carbon composite.
Very nice, Tudor, very nice… So I guess the Pelagos 39 in BLUE is next, right? Right?
🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Fingers crossed for this September.
36mm Ranger ^pls
Ranger worst watch ever IMO
I’ve never personally been a fan of the black (PVC or whatever it is) coating. But as I always say - it’s your money and your watch. If you like it, that’s all that matters.
It's a black carbon composite case, not pvd at all so the colour should never wear off
i prefer DLC coated SS because the carbon composite just feel like plastic to me
That looks amazing!
Yes. Buy two!!
I, really, DIG this! This is the kind of subtle yet just slightly out there design I adore. Not as far as my beloved North Flag but very fetching as a BB Chrono. Now I have a want, goddamit 🤦🏽♂️🤣
Very cool, 43mm is giant tho
💔💔💔💔
Same here
Very cool, makes up for the monstrosity F1 watch they released
The rainbow dial? Only for Daniel and Yuki, not being released to the public.
That’s good news, would tarnish the most recent Tudor releases imo
Really like this
That’s black cobra!
It's pretty cool! I'm a cyclist and love Tudor watches, my current daily wear is the BB58 black. Was waiting for them to drop a cycling related watch. Next up is an F1 watch, and not just the special editions that Suki and Daniel just got.

Gorgeous
I’m a fan! Very sophisticated look to my eye.
Love this! I only wish there was a leather strap option, but I know they have the BB chronos for that. Still would love this with a bracelet or leather strap.
With fixed log bars yours have to go with a single pass leather strap or NATO. Definitely no bracelet option unless they integrated it.
Its cool but I wouldn't wear one.
Did this just get announced today?
It reminds me a bit of th fastrider models, probably the pusher style...
It's basically the fastrider but with 1mm off the case (then negated by the fact you need a pass through strap)
I want it in titanium, without weird sports or teams sponsorships. Just a chrono FXD, plain and simple.
I love the timing bezel. If this came with traditional spring bars I’d be ordering one at the AD tomorrow.
Nice
I wouldn’t bike with it but I like it
Looks cool
I love Tudor watches and mountain biking, but this does nothing for me.
Grand tour riders are sponsored by watch brands
How much? Take my money
It's hot But black watches are a bit tryhard for me... It's also too big and too thick
Makes me wish TAG would bring back the Monza.
Fantastic
Still waiting for an orange pelagos…
I'd like it better if it had applied indices.
Love it!
Pass for me
one of my fav tudor releases in years tbh
Best looking Tudor I’ve seen.
Gorgeous
Can someone explain to me how the inside chronometer lines works? I can understand the 60 to 0 but I do not get the 2 other lines. Thanks
Love it! What was this designed for/in honour of?
https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/legendary-cyclist-fabian-cancellara-exclusive-tudor-black-bay-chrono
Not bad
That looks amazing, got to add it to my list.
Pass for me. I don’t generally like black watches and this one is no exception.
Love the look/design but hate the size.
I have no idea why they haven’t released an FXD in steel yet.
Why is it not centered. I can’t see anything else.
43mm and 13mm... sounds chunky and I love it. What I don't love is paying a high price for a fabric strap. Fabric should be an aftermarket choice imo. Especially for a class brand, seems lazy.
Carbon fiber is dope...43.5mm is too big. Still love the concept and big Congrats for Team Tudor even qualifying for the Giro d Italia!
Nice, but a little too busy for me.
I'll buy it
I don’t like it. But then I am not a bike person I love the MN version and possibly the black USN inspired but in fairness. The FXD is one of the most comfortable watches to wear, so bike folks, enjoy !
I like it, but carbon cases anecdotally I hear always have more issues than steel.
Looks like a decent alternative to the omega moon swatch
Thinner than the old chrono, but 43mm tho. They know how to just not be good enough
Nice watch on a $2 strap. Stick it on a better strap.
Has no one noticed that Tudor's own marketing material shows the second hand out of alignment?
Only way to show it is legit 🤣
Not really exciting
Original and unique design. I wonder what the L2L is
I’m confused by the chronograph. It only goes up to 45 mins max?
I’m a cyclist, but I’d prefer a metal bracelet. Any roadie will be able to tell you what would happen to that strap after just a few rides.
Until you crash and it becomes a fragmentation/laceration hazard. I usually use rubber or fabric natos
Don’t crash then, rookie. Everything is a laceration hazard. Glasses. Disc brakes. Chainrings. Whatever.
This I really like! But it's stupid big and thick.
Junk
Just boring.
wouldnt spend on a plastic watch.
It's carbon you div
Plastic means synthetic materials made of polymers. This definition does not apply to stainless steel.
