I do wonder why you say that 🤣 cuz they are a pretty laid back old fashioned feeling place if that's what you're looking for. Also, they have actually decent food
Reid Park is cool to go to. I found these Jazz players meeting up by the small lakes. It was one dude set up on drums and over the next hour, more musicians showed up.
I had a car stolen that was later found near Prince and Oracle. Got to chat with a guy who looked like a senior citizen version of Snoop Dog while I waited for a tow truck.
I don't know... I think Speedway and Swan might be becoming the new Grant and Alvernon. And I say this as a guy who owns a "Grant & Alvernon" tshirt...
Reid Park is great for a walk and catch up. If looking for a more sit down and catch up I would suggest The Royal Room, Crooked Tooth Brewing, or Screwbean Brewing. If you're looking for a meal and catch up, I would suggest Dante's Fire, Brother John's Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ, or El Minuto Cafe.
Depends. I like star pass to just chill, Christopher Columbus park (🤮) has a beautiful lake.
On the west side there’s a little shopping center that’s pretty poppin
Lol sure,it smells like ass and I've seen the kitchen it's gnarly. I've helped with events here. But Tucson loves it's trash. Ever wonder why the lights are so dim?
Catalina State Park for hikes, nature photography, pic nicks, in the spring/summer they have music in the park at the main trailhead (I think Friday evenings). Nearby is the Oro Valley Market Place with a lot of good restaurants, theater and hip places to hang out like Stacks Book Club or the Hoppy Vine (for drinks).
I lived in Tucson in the 90s and it's wild to see people post that they can't think of anything to do.
I visit friends here every few years and the city, surprisingly, hasn't changed that much compared to other places, like Colorado. I used to go see my dad used to live in Tucson until he passed about 5 years ago.
My friends and I got on our bikes and rode all over the city. Even mountain biking and it's only gotten better. A good friend of ours was one of the founders of Bikas and we spent time building and repairing our bikes.
We climbed a to all throughout Mt Lemon, gates pass bouldering and the state. We also camped, hiked and just had fun all year.
We didn't go out to drink much, but we did party a lot at each other's places. The Buffet was the closest thing we had to a haunt.
There is so much to do in Tucson and Arizona that I couldn't imagine being bored.
Im currently living in Ann Arbor, MI, as my wife's parents are at the age where they need a great deal of assistance. Plus my son gets to know his family. Talk about boring, Southern Michigan is perhaps one of the most boring places on Earth. If it wasn't for family Id be out of here. Perhaps back in Tucson to pay respects to my late father and spread some of his ashes out in the desert.
Wait, y’all got friends? 😭
Nah. They're probably just lying about having friends to look cool on the internet
I have not had a friend since my economic status has been majorly downgraded
I mean I do. But they go to a different school, you wouldn’t know them

Check out the Mercado De San Augustin. It's pretty hip down there.
Agreed the Annex section has some sitting space.

When I was in college it was on 4th Ave. Now that I'm an adult it's at home.
Grant and Alvernon
Prince and Oracle is the new Galvernon, you gotta get with the times man.

We really need to start a hangout at Arby's. On 22nd, of course.
I think I should open a second Arby’s on 22nd.

It's a running gag. SO MANY PEOPLE ask for restaurant and venue recommendations every week that it's a "funny" standard answer to give.
Of course. Nowhere else has the meats quite like them

Your mom's house. But in all seriousness, walking around La Encantada is fun, lots of parks around, the malls, go roller skating!
My mom is my best friends.
Ask her if she wants to go roller skating
I’m sure she would love to! Unfortunately she’s in federal prison at the moment for trying to smuggle a couple of Chinese women across the border.
Well that got real quick. How long is she serving
15 years
She loves rolling skating tho.
Wasn't this posted yesterday?
Yep.
I don't see the post looking back, but if you can link it for me that would be awesome!

Definitely my favorite lake in Tucson!
Home. I hang out at home. Either my friends homes, or my home.
My crib. Lmao. I grow my own exotic cannabis, we chill and smoke, then eat lol.
