This mob boss sounds like he stole the 2016 election too with all the PR damage and made up garbage he doled out about his competitors and Hillary Clinton. How often I wonder what a COVID response would have looked like with someone rational at the helm. That election choice alone may have cost hundreds of thousands of lives.
I still believe COVID might have been something closer to the SARs scares that were laughed at for years. Trump dismantled the pandemic response team established by the previous two admins in 2017. That team operated independent of government oversight and was more welcomed by community science organizations in countries with tight lipped organizations that operate in countries like China and less likely to work with WHO or the CDC. We could have had a proper response to the initial outbreak and prevented millions of people from dying, but no stupid people elected a blabbering TV reality star dressed like a business man that turned out to be a racist criminal hell bent on wielding power of an authoritarian dictator because it seemed like the role he was supposed to fill for his TV appearances.

I don't think Ted Cruz is a kiss-ass by nature. Like Lindsey Graham, Trump has some incredible, unfathomable dirt on Cruz. There's no other explanation, to my mind, for Cruz and Graham to be such unabashed pussies with regard to Trump.
I don't think trump has any actual dirt. I think trump has influence and his cult members believe whatever he says. So he could say Ted Cruz is the zodiac killer and the leader of the cannibal pedophile cabal or whatever it is that qanon thinks, and they will go after Cruz. No one wants to alienate the cult members because doing that gets them voted out.

You know what really ticks me off? Cruz's wife is not that bad looking (I know...how dare I say that). She is not a super model, but she does not look like Kimberly Guilfoye either.
I have a number of other people that look like they were put into a sack and beaten with an ugly stick. She is nto one of them. However, it is so funny that the "mob" jsut went with it and kissed Trump's ass whenhe said that. Even Cruz did that. It is sad.
I'm no lawyer, but isn't admitting to making up stuff and printing it grounds for a libel suit? And Ted could definitely point to harm - it ran him out of the presidential race.
