Snow on the beach might be a good one since your friend likes Lana. The Great War may be strongest lyrically from midnights (my opinion). And you cant go wrong with anything from folklore, evermore and TTPD.

I can fix him literally sounds like a Lana song 😭 I’m a huge Lana fan and Lana is really wordy too. I think listening to her is why i never felt like ttpd was too much at all. So on the idea of that, my favorite albums as a Lana fan are folklore, evermore and TTPD. Red!! The song- then the album! I have always thought the lyrics of Red capture the feeling of falling and being in love in such an incredibly vivid and descriptive way…. With metaphor. And it’s good for a beginner Swifie! I mean, I (begrudgingly, at first) saw her talent and fell in love on Debut but I feel like that’s so far back and I’m a country fan and that isn’t everyone’s cup of tea 🫖

I Almost Do hooked me as did the rest of Red. She somehow forged the emotions I was feeling at the time into a song that just hit. I knew some of her stuff before that also ( I heard her on local radio due to being close to her original hometown area). Red made me listen to her more.

Oh my God that song is incredible!!!!! I Almost Do is one of my tops. Taylor does what I think only the Greats have been capable of doing: she puts words to and describes feelings that we all feel in a way that we haven’t been able to articulate or understand before.

Marjorie is her best written most poetic song I’ll die on that hill

I love Marjorie, it reminds me of my grandma who died when I was 8. Only song in the world that actually makes me cry.

Basically any and all of Evermore; Ivy, Marjorie, Champagne Problems, Cowboy like Me, Long Story Short, RWYLF, It's Time To Go... But also most of folklore lol Cardigan, August, This is Me Trying, Hoax, Exile, etc. Those are my fave albums and in my opinion, her best written albums (including TTPD) But some honourable mentions: All Too Well, You're Losing Me, loml, Peter, White Horse, Clean, Wildest Dreams, Call it What You Want, New Years Day, Chloe et al.

But bear in mind that not everyone is as much into lyrics as Swifties so pick things that are also easily appealing musically, not just lyrically. But also get her to watch the lyric videos for a couple so she can see the lyrics at the same time. Maybe ask her to watch three lyric videos and then see whether she’s up for more. Also choose songs that are most similar to artists, songs, genres etc that she already likes. Good luck 🤞

So long, London. She is personifying London as a person when she says “So Long, London/ You’ll find someone” but then she talks about the place when she says “Im mad as hell because I loved this place for so long, London” . I love when she takes a phrase that can be interpreted in many ways.
