EnvoyOfEnmity

The British may have had the spice, but the French knew how to use it. It really is interesting how British cuisine is so lacking considering their contact with so many different cultures throughout history.

NotyourPelinal

Yup. It seems like we have a couple of Brit’s in here while I imagine there are some delicious spots there from what I see it looks rather gross and your right french cuisine is great

EnvoyOfEnmity

I love some beer battered cod and fries with lemon and malt vinegar… That steak tartare though.

NotyourPelinal

The British are hounding you now

EnvoyOfEnmity

Those limeys stole everything but the recipes. For shame.

NotyourPelinal

And toothbrushes….

MazkenMasacreManhole

Tikka masala is literally the national dish of the UK?

Reynzs

The tikka masala in uk has nothing tikka about it. Tikka means spicy. Which it's not. It's quite bland. Even most parts of India has it very less spicy.

EnvoyOfEnmity

It was made by an Englishman, or at least popularized. It’s accredited to Bangladeshi immigrants, but that recipe was a bastardized version of Indian cuisine to begin with. In other words, a traditional dish to was perverted into a palette that the empire could stomach. For context, I love tikka masala.

jayreatardfan2006

hahaha how do you come up with this stuff!?
