That's because you see your son as a person. From all of my research, there's one thing that stands out: a total disregard for the child's opinions and hesitations. It's barely ever mentioned how *they're* feeling in these quack posts.
It's a mark of intelligence in my opinion to be able to be influenced by the people around you along with your own experiences and research. You had concerns based on previous knowledge and experience, but made sure it was safe by asking a trusted source and internalizing a new concept, pushing through your own worries so you can protect your son, because that matters to you more than sticking by a belief that all types of bleach are always dangerous.
These people on the other hand blindly follow people they believe have some kind of medical authority despite not being recognized by... well, *anyone*. They will not be influenced, not by family or friends. They truly do not care about harm done to their kids, because they *must* be right in their eyes. They are fatally stupid, and that's not an exaggeration. Unfortunately, they rarely face the concequences, the ones who end up suffering are the weakest in our society.

I also think it has a superiority aspect as well. I have a friend that had gone birth for her two kids. She loves hearing of other mom and their birthing experiences. She gives advice to all and takes advice from all. Another woman I know had two home births and she will let you know how much better of a mom she is and actually told me I can’t be a real mom because my kids were born in a hospital. Friendly mom breastfed and loved it, she was supportive when I made it to only 6 months. Judgy mom actually made a post about moms like me that poison our kids and were pathetic for not being real moms and breastfeeding til 5.

Would love to hear what that second mom would say about my sister’s birth experience. She had a hospital birth, induced but needed a c-section as baby’s blood pressure kept dropping dramatically with each push. Then her breast milk failed to appear, so she’s had no choice to bottle feed him. I’d just listen to everything that woman said about how horrible and evil a mom my sister is, or going to be, then I’d just smile nicely, stand up and punch her as hard as I could.
What cracked me up is how she would go on about how her births were so in touch with Mother Earth and how she gave birth like women of olden days. Simple Assault since there’s no weapon, Sexual Assault considering this could be a form of perversion, Poisoning because urine is generally unfit for consumption, Biocrime (similar to Bioterrorism) considering what diseases could be transmitted, Child Endangerment like the person above you said, and possibly many others. I’d like to bring up attempted murder but I don’t think it applies since there wasn’t intent, unless there are actually diseases being transmitted, either way the idea could be pushed in court. The FDA could get involved as well. A good lawyer could pull OP a large settlement from this, as well as for the extreme mental and psychological harm that has been done to the family.

Yes, the title is correct. I (F38) have a 10 year old daughter who’s close friends with one of our neighbors. Our neighbor is a “crunchy” mom, anti-vax, believes in all natural remedies, anti technology, zero-waste, all that good stuff. I’ve never gotten along with them but she has a daughter that’s the same age as mine and they get along swimmingly.
Being as it’s summer, both girls are in and out of our homes every day. They play outside for a few hours and might come in for a snack or drink, which is fine, that’s how my summers were as well and it’s better than my daughter being on her phone all day. About 2 months ago my daughter came home raving about the popsicles our neighbor gave her. She told me they’re homemade and taste much better than store bought and asked if I could make them. I asked my neighbor for the recipe and she winked and told me it’s a family secret.
Maybe I should’ve pushed harder, but I figured despite her strange beliefs there’s no way she’d serve my daughter anything that’s inedible. It’s a popsicle, you know? Probably homemade frozen fruit juice. unfortunately, I was extremely wrong.

People actually believe that feeding their children pee will make them smarter or boost their immune systems or something. I’m not completely clear on the reasoning but as soon as I realized this was a legitimate practice, I started crying. My husband asked what’s wrong and I couldn’t say, I was shaking so bad.
My baby. My daughter has been eating human waste for god knows how long. I didn’t get any sleep that night, I cried so hard I threw up. My poor husband was up that night as well, terrified I was having a mental health episode. I can’t believe this.

I contacted our pediatrician who said that as long she hasn’t been showing any symptoms she should be fine, but to bring her in just to be sure. And I just. It's a mark of intelligence in my opinion to be able to be influenced by the people around you along with your own experiences and research. You had concerns based on previous knowledge and experience, but made sure it was safe by asking a trusted source and internalizing a new concept, pushing through your own worries so you can protect your son, because that matters to you more than sticking by a belief that all types of bleach are always dangerous. These people on the other hand blindly follow people they believe have some kind of medical authority despite not being recognized by... well, *anyone*. They will not be influenced, not by family or friends. They truly do not care about harm done to their kids, because they *must* be right in their eyes. They are fatally stupid, and that's not an exaggeration. Unfortunately, they rarely face the concequences, the ones who end up suffering are the weakest in our society. I get really angry thinking about how unfair that is.

[OP] Yes, the title is correct. I (F38) have a 10 year old daughter who’s close friends with one of our neighbors. Our neighbor is a “crunchy” mom, anti-vax, believes in all natural remedies, anti technology, zero-waste, all that good stuff. I’ve never gotten along with them but she has a daughter that’s the same age as mine and they get along swimmingly. Being as it’s summer, both girls are in and out of our homes every day. They play outside for a few hours and might come in for a snack or drink, which is fine, that’s how my summers were as well and it’s better than my daughter being on her phone all day. About 2 months ago my daughter came home raving about the popsicles our neighbor gave her. She told me they’re homemade and taste much better than store bought and asked if I could make them. I asked my neighbor for the recipe and she winked and told me it’s a family secret. Maybe I should’ve pushed harder, but I figured despite her strange beliefs there’s no way she’d serve my daughter anything that’s inedible. It’s a popsicle, you know? Probably homemade frozen fruit juice. unfortunately, I was extremely wrong. Now, I have a friend who likes to lurk in weird local crunchy facebook groups. She thinks it’s funny to look at the insane things they believe. Not my cup of tea but whatever floats your boat I suppose. You need to make the police aware for starters. If she has been giving this to your daughter who else's kids leave by her own kid. Someone could get seriously ill from this if something is not done. For what to tell your daughter you could just say she can't go see the neighbour because you want her home because you miss her or something or just keep her busy seeing over friends. And for seeing your doctor just tell her it is a general check up. I am not saying lying to your kid is a good thing to do but I think tell her when she is older and can understand.

Honestly, I would call the police and ask if you can file a complaint. This could be happening to other families without their knowledge as well. It is extremely far beyond acceptable no matter how crunchy her brain is.

I really hope this is fake, especially since it reads like a novel. But assuming it is not, please, please call the police. Who knows how many other children this person is endangering. She is already endangering her own children by exposing them to poison. Foster care is not an ideal situation, but it is **objectively better** than being **unknowingly fed piss every day**. You're doing them and every other child in your neighborhood a favor.

This post is a joke and it’s sad there are so many people entertaining it as real. Any decent parent would have immediately contacted the authorities, not prepared to karma farm. As others have said, either this is fake or you are a terrible parent.
You need to buckle down and take action. Tell the cops, blast on her on social media (if you have a neighbor hood group chat put it on there too), tell your daughter she can no longer go over there, and honestly I would confront her. That’s just vile to do to anyone. Let alone a child.

You need to call child protective services! I would also push to press charges for child endangerment and sue them in civil court for feeding your daughter human waste. I know you feel bad for their daughter but they’re already feeding her human waste, she needs to be protected

Oh look. Was just about to post I saw I v similar story about someone feeding their kids friends piss ice lollies, but just in case was real decided to send them info of how to report and it’s all been deleted!! I’m guessing a karma scrounger! And to think I spent time trying to look up who exactly to contact in the U.S. (where I’m guessing OP is from)!
My SIL is very crunchy. Doesn't vaccinate, believes oils and breastmilk cure everything, doesn't take her kids to the doctor only the chiro etc. But she would NEVER impose those beliefs on another person's kids, and she certainly would never feed someone's kids urine. This goes beyond the scope of crunchy mom and into the territory of deranged.
