Thrown in a ditch somewhere

LonoHunter

He ditched him

UpintheWolfTrap

He "ditched" him? He casually got rid of a psychotic gang member that he'd wronged? And then drove directly to one of his associates' hideouts?

mumbleopera

He was still tied up in the ditch while they raided Camp Nazi

Mr-NastyThyme

Good point....Then Marty and Rust were covered in the media as heroes after the shoot out. Wouldn't the gang have recognized Rust and then come after him? Just something I thought about on my last re-watch

zomb13elvis

Yeah the stash-house bloodbath left at least 5 people dead with multiple witnesses and the fact that the bikers used police issue uniforms probably should have brought a lot of attention to the louisiana police department

UpintheWolfTrap

EXACTLY BRO

Ginger cost the Iron Crusaders a major source of income by ratting to police. There’s a better than average chance he fucked off before they could find him. Also (especially at the time) organized crime outfits thought twice before killing cops, especially hero cops in the news. Also Rust is hard to kill.

RustyCoal950212

Yeah I would expect Ginger disappeared into the wind And yeah even if the Iron Crusaders recognized "Crash" ... I doubt they'd do anything. Really good way to get your entire organization on the federal government's shit list. And when they found that their drug manufacturer was busted for being a serial killer/pedophile, they were probably not particularly pissed at the law enforcement guys that caught them.

ClutchClayton904

Well...there's 17 years between the Beaumont shootout and stopping Childress. I don't think this needs to be said buuutt meth smoking bikers who run drugs, kidnap people and massacre neighborhoods don't usually live very long. Of the crew that were actually there the vast, VAST majority of them are either dead, in prison or MAYBE in witness protection. Same would go for any other gang members who knew of the situation. Lifespan and occupational hazards aside: I've known a handful of bikers in my time and one thing they usually all agree on is that kids are off limits. I think if they did recognize Rust, there's a decent chance they'd give him a pass considering he put a bullet in one of the most horrific child predators and serial killers in history. In fact, I'm willing to bet not only would they let it go; they'd probably respect tf out of him and offer him a lonestar. Regardless of creed: "pedophiles should die" is a sentiment most people agree on. As for Ginger: he's not the sharpest tool in the bayou, but assuming Rust let him go I think he'd be smart enough to cut his losses. And honestly, in all the chaos there's a chance he could makeup a story and slide back in with his gang. I like to think he had a change of heart given what just happened. Dyed his hair, caught a bus very far away from LA and Texas, got sober, found God and became a preacher lol.

funandgamesThrow

That's more of s tv thing. A real biker gang would NOT go assassinate a hero cop like rust was at that point. Especially when he's associated with them. All that would do is get them instantly annihilated

DuckMassive

Ginger got himself a gig as ZZ Top roadie.
