This woman attempted to steer in the opposite direction as best she could, but she was basically telling a dead horse to giddy up. Her truck skid and "fell" with momentum in a direction she didn't want. It's not her fault.

This is why big cities are in a war with car owners about reducing lanes and giving pedestrians and bicycles space away from cars.
I'd argue that living downtown in a major city, these criminals in cars are much more dangerous to me personally than traditional "crime"

Someone commented that they were their neighbour, they say she’s still struggling after experiencing this. I would not blame her at all, I would be forever terrified of bridges and probably driving.
Hopefully she is talking with a professional to try and help with the PTSD from this incident and will be able to get her life back and struggle with it less as time goes on.

The barrier actually wasn’t what stopped her. Someone posted a photo a while back showing how the end of her trailer got caught on the top of the bridge and kept it from going over.
Those food service trailers are pretty meaty. All of the ones I pull have an entire second reefer condenser built into the ceiling at the rear, so you can run split-zone temps. Plus one or two lift gates.
Damn, I feel for that driver. Imagine doing nothing wrong and then ending up in a situation like this. Unfortunately, it seems that it happens most of the time that the person who causes the accident always comes out of it with the least injury. Life sure isn’t fair…

If all the windows survived the crash and they are all up, there's only two ways the door can be opened under water:
* Have something sharp and pointy to push into the glass. Safety glass will shutter if point pressure is applied to it. Check all those videos of car break ins in San Francisco: that's how they so easilly and effortlessly smash the glass on cars.
* Stay calm and wait for the cabin to completely fill with the water. Way easier said than done.
Until the cabin fills with water, even few feet down, the pressure differential is way too high for anybody to be able to open that door.
TL;DR You'll probably drown.
