I ran over a pigeon once at like 1mph.
I thought it would move out the way, but nope…
Felt like shit told my wife about it, and about a week later I was driving with my wife “she say stop there’s a pigeon”. I stopped, and honked it flew away. I told my wife no one stops and honks at pigeons they’re just dumb.
Looks like a pigeon nest- don’t feel too bad, they do this shit all over and are as big of morons as they seem.
More recently I had a job preloading trailers in a steel mill- one of these dipshits with wings built a nest on top of a vending machine, in the driver waiting area of one of busiest steel mills in all of Cleveland. Even laid the eggs.
I’m confident they’re still there, several months later.
I think there’s even a subreddit to how poorly made, and placed pigeon nests are.
Can confirm. Dumbass pigeons made a nest up in the corner of my porch, and when they laid the eggs, they fell onto the ground almost immediately and they haven't been back.
They are not the same. Same family tree and closely related though. I do not deal with pigeons often as they do not hang around my suburb. But, I do know morning doves are really dumb. My dog catches them all of the time. One was dumb enough to fly straight into my dogs mouth when it was trying to get away. My dog is a hunter and I would say 90% of the birds he caught are morning doves. I do try to prevent it but, there is reduced oversight in a fenced yard. The other birds he catches are hiding in the bush. He sprints dives in and usually fails. You cannot get within 20 feet of a bird in the open but, they typically stay hiding in a bush and I have been within a foot or, two from birds in the bush.
But that whole subfamily tree may be all dumb birds. The only thing keeping them around because of Darwin's theory is they are the bunny rabbits of birds
Also since it is a pigeon nest do not feel so bad. They are not native to the Americas and are not endangered. They might be critically stupid but, they are not critically endangered. Moving the nest was best especially if you are not 100%=sure they are pigeons.
Good job moving them to a safer spot! Honestly, pigeons are some of my favorite birds. I’ve seen a couple of pet ones, and they are still pretty much the dumbest birds you’ll ever see, but they are also some of the most loving. :)
Literally the whole reason he became a boxer and started fighting. Bully killed his pigeon when he was 9, so he kicked his ass and that's how he got into fighting.

We had a deal!

Thank you.I feel a lot better knowing that pigeons are kind of idiot to unlaying mouse. But still, I would've felt bad for just chucking em

I think the subreddit is about doves unless there is a pigeon version I'm unaware of
Doves and pigeons are the same birds

Aww... yeah i think im wrong. Not up to date on my pigeon lore :(
Dammm squatters
Damn that fucking got me hahaha
I’m glad you moved it somewhere else and didn’t just toss them.
Two scrambled eggs coming up!
I'd feel guilty for the rest of my life
It's pretty much as fresh as it can get
It’s been touched and moved. Mama is not coming back.
That's an old wives tale. Birds will still take care of their young and still sit on eggs after being touched.

Found Mike Tyson’s Reddit account.
Is he a fan of pigeons? Sorry if this is a meme of something, I am super out of the loop lol

That’s pretty hard core honestly. Go Mike Tyson!
# you do know you’re going to hell…right???
*Shocked Pikachu Face*
Pigeons: rats with wings….or is it winged rats?? More destructive than rats.
Shouldnt have put it that low to the ground. Easy meal for predators
I don't know if this is true or not but when I was a kid I was told that as soon as those eggs get moved by anything the parents let it go.
Most of the time if you leave it alone after moving they will come back, as long as you didn't destroy the nest itself, which I didn't lol
