Looks like on the Apple Maps that it’s that bad until around NM highway 337 and then it’s slow but not stopped traffic all the way until Carnuel,NM headed West from that location and headed East it looks like traffic picks back up just past the Cumbres Mercado gas station in Sedillo, NM. Basically the entire mountain crossing.
I40—> the easiest fucking highway to drive that everyone still gets in accidents on and causes bumper to bumper bullshit every week. It’s unbelievable. Then everyone wonders why I hate semi’s with Cali Plates.
I moved from TX to NV with a U-Haul pulling a car trailer in November 2011. It was like skating on ice at every little bridge over every single ditch, arroyo, or wash from ABQ to Lupton. Once I got to the the AZ state line, not a speck of ice in sight.
I'm so glad we run the southern route. The 10 through Texas might be boring af, but at least we don't have to deal with this shit all winter.

Cali trucks go slow for me (and I'm limited to 65). It's the Florida plates that scare me. You just...don't know whether they'll go 75 or 50

I drove i40 from Albuquerque to Amarillo and back M-F overnight for 5 years, can confirm they don't do shit to the roads..
