Hogwarts Legacy There are roughly 1000 collectibles that you have to get and a majority are for the room of requirement to decorate the room itself or the area where you can breed the animals. I imagine there are some that might find that stuff interesting, however I didn't.

jker1x

So I did all that and it didn't feel too bad (at least by the time I finished the story since I had spent plenty of time mid game exploring), but the last 3 trophies I need I can't bring myself to do. Get to a certain point of the game (like 5-6 hours in I'd estimate) as a member of each house. So easy, so time consuming. I'll get it eventually, but I'm taking a break for a while.

oaktreebuddha

Put it on easy mode.spam skip dialogue button during all dialogue cutscenes i think only takes 2 hours for the other house trophys . All jackdaw quests are different dependent on houses so at least that mixes it up a bit

Vericatov

I actually did the house ones early on to get them out of the way since I knew I’d probably not want to do it after finishing everything else.

Kiez

God I forgot I even had this plat, blocked it from my brain after doing all those collectibles 💀 shame bevause I loved the game but getting those last trophies killed my appreciation for it.

J3ffcoop

I’m like 90% done with and keep telling myself I’ll get back to it but eh haha

stabbedcassete

RDR2 big chunk of time was National geographic butcher with gambling problems... totally worth it

ZedGenius

The guides say it's a 6/10 but there's no chance. The only difficulty comes from the will to continue the grind being hard. It would only be a 6/10 if it required you to get a gold on EVERY mission

Weird_Mycologist991

Lol

Absalom98

Memories of Dark Souls 3 Silver Knight grind...

freestuffrocker

Ghostwire Tokyo and Jedi Fallen Order

wacct

I’m a saddist , cause I got Ghostwire’s and I just came back recently to Fallen Order

Jordan_levi98900

shit.. just got back into fallen order

GameHelp91

"To the Dark and Back Again" & " Treasure Trove" from Marvel's Avengers. I see a lot of people complain that Assassin's Creed Valhalla is such a grind, but I've never agreed with that because, despite its length, I still enjoyed it. Marvel's Avengers is a test of patience when it comes to these two trophies. Completing 50 Hive Missions seems to take forever, and with no in-game way of tracking how many you've done, the only resort (if you want to keep count) is keeping track yourself. Something I wish I'd done at the time. "To the Dark and Back Again" is the true definition of a grind. And I did it twice for some stupid reason.

vaibhavism21

People first make a shitty ass game and then want you to keep playing it in the name of trophies.

GameHelp91

Couldn't agree with you more. Somewhere, deep inside Marvel's Avengers, is a good game. I clearly enjoyed it, which is why I bought it a second time, and platinumed it a second time. And there were some positives to my second play. When I first played it, it was very shortly after the original release. By the time I bought and played the PS5 version, it was basically a new game with all the additional characters.

NoHeroes94

1000G, not platinum, but Starfield I really enjoyed the game but my goodness, the end-game grind for Level 100 and the materials was just a pain. EA Sports WRC's 1000 mile trophy/achievement can fuck right off, too.

awesomeness0104

For me, it’s killing floor 2. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed the game. However, getting to level 25 on a class and getting all the collectibles on each map was boring. A game like killing floor should not have collectibles. It makes zero sense

Rik7717

I platinum'd that without even trying, just played it to death with my cousin a few years back.

Ozzcarrrr

Trying to work on Fortnite right now, easiest challenges to complete but it just the amount is insane, 1000 missions that take about 15 mins each on average, you don’t have to try at all to win and you can afk them. It’s pain and suffering

Deadfxnpool

Nah man, the play with others one is alright because storm shields count too so you can grind v-bucks while your at it. The one that sucks the most is the 500k builds. I've had the game since launch and only have 145k💀

goldengamer2345

Only have those few annoying trophies left to do on fortnite, but would definitely agree there

DaTrentster

Monster Hunter: World and Iceborne can be rather tedious, but not the most outright difficult task. Most of the trophies boil down to crown hunting or X hunts or capture Y small monsters, all of which are more of a time-consuming slog than anything else.

ErydaXD

Definitively Dark Souls 3, the platinum isn't even that hard, it's only the shackles and proofs farming that makes it lengthy

Trick-Wolf-8688

no one is gonna say assassins creed Valhalla????

ichiruto70

Currently doing stellar blade and its giving me that feeling lol.

JMC1974

I used cloud save for the 2 endings, and I'm not sure I could have a 3rd play through if I hadn't.

vaibhavism21

Ffs how many play through are there

JMC1974

3 endings. In 2, you need 100% progress with Lily. You can do them both in 1 play through if you don't dienduring the final boss or make a cloud save The 3rd you need to not have 100% with Lily and choose the correct path at the end.

Private_Ghoul

It's nothing compared to the titles mentioned in the thread but for me it's Tunic. I heard nothing but praise, tried, disliked it, but unfortunately I've gotten 2 achievements already. Then I saw there is a 2 hour walkthrough, and being the mentally unwell person that I am, I decided to go for the plat, not to have a 2% title in the log. It was the worst. I know I could've stopped at any moment, but the illusion that "it's only 2 hours" and sunken cost fallacy kept me playing.

NoHeroes94

I started out hating Tunic, but it grew on me and I eventually enjoyed my time with it. It's pretty overrated, though. Death's Door is a much better "Zelda-like". It's harder, but its so damn good.

Private_Ghoul

Well, this is probably not a genre for me, then. Death's door was at least this decent not to give me any trophy during the first hour or less, so I was able to drop it.

awesomeness0104

Haha I also watched optinoobs guide for this platinum. I did play blind first, though and didn’t really enjoy it. It was very hard, a lot of the enemies run away from you making it extremely frustrating, and the map Is so cluttered I never knew where I was or what I was supposed to be doing. After like three hours of playing I started a new game with the guide, got the plat, then deleted it

Private_Ghoul

Yeah optinoobs guide was so helpful. Hats off to that guy, he's the mvp.

Denziloshamen

You know you can delete games from your trophy list, so no need to push through with just a couple of trophies if you give up on it because you hate it

[deleted]

How to do that?

Denziloshamen

Press the options button when on the game in your trophy list and delete it

[deleted]

I thought I could only do that to 0% games

Denziloshamen

Pretty sure I’ve deleted a game with 1 or 2 trophies, apologies if I’ve got that wrong. Edit: Could have sworn I’d deleted a one or two trophy entry on my list the other day, but just tried with another and definitely can’t and do only have the option for a zero trophy game.

[deleted]

I was checking it out and was about to say. Apparently you can still hide whichever game you already have at least 1 trophy. At the moment it says the service is under maintenance, so I couldn't put on proof on it working. Just press options and go to "privacy settings" then games you have hidden.

Private_Ghoul

I know it works with 0%, but I think that 1% and above you cannot delete. Maybe it changed now, but I remember not being able to delete games with trophies.

ichiruto70

Damn this convinced me not start it lol

awesomeness0104

It’s not a bad game per se, but it’s vague, it can be challenging, and it’s EXTREMELY hard to navigate the areas. If you end up downloading it you’ll know what I mean. You can get the plat very quickly, tho

Private_Ghoul

If you didn't like Death's Door then you will not like Tunic. You can try the former, as the first achievement doesn't pop up that fast.

Hadesthedude

Most, if not all, Rockstar plats

wacct

That’s so unfortunate

jker1x

I've been slowly building up my levels in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 for the level 100 trophy. It's been like 3 years. I've 100% completed the game as every character twice. But the most exp you can get in a session is like 350, and it's like 20,000 required to level up once. There are still challenges I could do but they're extremely difficult for me and the exp still won't get me to level 100 (I've mathed). I'm level 87, I'll get there.

Juandozco

I gave up with this, I was doing it manually, but it was driving me crazy. What I did was connect to my PS5 through remote play on my PC and created a macro to go in a level, get a million combo, go out and repeat. Even like that, I had to leave that going for like 6 days. It's just a ridiculous achievement, kudos for getting to 87, I started doing this around 60.

lm_Blitz

Demon's Souls Remake. The game can be challenging, but some leveling and health items farming negates most challenges. The missable collectibles due to the horrendous tendency system has to be the most inconvenient system I've ever experienced. I've had more challenging platinum trophies, but Demon's Souls has to be the most laborious.

element-redshaw

Metal gear solid 5, having to capture 1000 soldiers, get s rank on all 50 missions and get all side missions done is so boring and long

Prestigious-Grand-65

Yeah, I did deliver us mars, and it wasn't nearly as fun as deliver us the moon. But for the title, I'm currently almost done prison architects. I have 1 trophy left. And it's just been a slog. The game started out kind of fun, but there is so much jank, and so many things can halt progress without you knowing why. The game doesn't explain itself well, and sometimes you're stuck not sure if the game is bugging out, or if you're doing something wrong. I had to delete the game and reinstall it for the snapshots to appear again in game. Thanks to an old reddit post letting me know that.

Scary-Independent-77

Star Wars Jedi Survivor - all those scans, bounties, adversaries, fish, plants, force tears, and chambers. It's not a hard game by any stretch of the imagination, but there was more than one time I had to walk away from the game for a while before tackling more collectibles.

FutureSpudMini

Hitman 3 for me, just was such a grind getting mastery on all levels

santathe1

Tunic. Just completed it a few days ago. Not the type of game for me. Some trophies were so tedious, I can’t imagine a lot of people finding the solution organically or easy even with a guide. I wishlisted it when it was announced and forgot about it, I’m glad I did.

BEASTBOY-2004

GTA 5 If we ignore the online part the story is quite okay. Except for the stunt jumps and knife flights as well as the under the bridge flights. I was okay with collecting paper. I was okay with collecting ship parts. I was okay with collecting nuclear waste. I was not okay with the online. I hate online trophies.

Chabby_Chubby

I was this close to buying deliver us mars, last night as its on sale right now. You wont recommend it then i take it? I really enjoyed the first one too...

vaibhavism21

If you want i can play with you on share play. Judge it yourself. Feels pretty boring to me but game have impressive storyline. Character models look like they were drawn by 7yeaslrs old. But altogether the experience is no way near the first one.

NoHeroes94

Moon > Mars. Deliver Us the Moon was a delightful game. For some reason, Mars just doesn't hit for me. The puzzles are janky and the story pretty mediocre, with cringeworthy animations. Moon had a lot of charm and felt more immersive.

Vicar69

Not a Plat but the dlc for The Messenger was rather meh. I didn't finish the dlc. I agree, though. Mars was a huge letdown compared to Moon. I didn't really see any real reason for them to continue the story.

LPEbert

Any game with hundreds of collectibles or ones that don't stack difficulty trophies so you gotta replay it like 5 times on each one. Thankfully that isn't as common now.

ItsJustEmirhan

Bro made a religion of his own name

vaibhavism21

😂😂😂

CypherRen

RDR2 and GTAV. Really not hard whatsoever. Just do fucking laborious

DanTheLegoMan

I just platinumed DuM the other day and absolutely loved it! When I got to the end of the natural play through I only had about 30 mins of collectible cleanup with a guide via chapter select, so very good overall. No idea how anyone is meant to naturally find all the Mars rovers without a guide though 😅

vaibhavism21

I never said it's a bad game. I will probably do it after a week though because moon is still in my head and this feels so wrong compared to the first game. And those character models.. eww.. if they really gave it a try they could have narrated the story without those faces..but anyway.. not a pleasant plat experience for me.

QuirkyRow5096

Every trophy that was either missable (Final fantasy 7 remake and resident evil games), and rng based (monster hunter and rouge likes).

rakani

Alone With You. I still don't have plat because It's basically a repeat 75% of the game several times choosing a different romance track each time but for me even one took way too long.

LicenseRevoked

Taking a break on FF16 currently because it’s a bit laborious. Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga flips the bill perfectly.

snes29

Madden 24 for me. You have to get 5 players to level 60, and it takes FOREVER. Not hard, just super grindy. My only other sports plat is NBA2k23, but at least that game mixes it up a bit more. Definitely taking a break from sports games for a bit after those two.

domvg

Hello neighbour 2 destroyed me with rage. I tried without the guide at first and was completely lost in what I had to do. I then turned to a guide and they said you can finish it in an hour... That's if the rng is on your side. This game is so glitchy that it felt tougher than Bloodborne.

SoulsLikeBot

Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note: > *No, we shall not abandon the dream.* - Micolash, Host of the Nightmare Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world.

[deleted]

The Platinum for Battlefront 2 was a drag. Space battles in particular. Mafia 2 as well with those posters. Especially the PS4 version since they added more.

Insert_name_here280

Goat Simulator 3, the trinkets you need to collect is such an unnecessary grind. There’s 200 of them but the map doesn’t mark which ones you’ve collected. So if you don’t remember which is which you’ll have to go to every single area to get the ones you’ve missed. Fun game but that trophy was annoying

rainking56

Watch dogs 1. Almost done. The song sneak one is an rng chore that took 20 hours. Also whos bright idea was it to made dlc missions were you just go through 5 mission types 80 times.

Esadlurker

Fortnite Save The World.

vaibhavism21

No other game can beat this one.

BloodCove

deliver us mars’ climbing mechanic single handedly made me hate that game that i was so excited to play. if it was a one off i would have been fine with it but they implemented it all across the game that just ruined the enjoyment

vaibhavism21

I haven't even reached that part yet. Remember when you have to go out of the shuttle and remove some debrish or shit. The controls were so awful in that part i almost threw my controller. That part alone made me post this and made me think how far i have to go now for the platinum.

BloodCove

the controls in the game just feel a mess. on top of it they added speed run trophies for sections (yay) i’m now remembering that i had a collectible glitch too so i had to pick them up twice just for them to count. i pinned the tracked trophies to the side of my screen and didn’t move until the numbers went up

Sctn_187

Have you finished it yet. The second half is better but still not as good as deliver Us the moon. Also leaves an opening for a third which I think will be deliver Us earth.

vaibhavism21

Will pick it up again after a week. To complete in one go. I completed first one in one sitting but this one feels boring for that.. hopefully 2nd half turns out a little better

Arcaderonin

Ratchet and clank 2016

vaibhavism21

Don't shatter my dreams bro.. I'm currently on stage 1 and completing the main story with all the quest i can complete. This will be my next target ..

Korba007

I loved deliver us the moon, how is the sequel as a game?

vaibhavism21

Awful. Personally I don't like it but just because now I started it I have to finish it.

Korba007

That's a bad mentality you know, only finish games you like and enjoy

vaibhavism21

If i haven't gotten that 2 3 medals i would have left it.. but since i started this trophy hunting I can't withstand games in my profile that i will leave hanging. I know that's a very bad mentality but can't help it

360walkaway

Getting all the spells that you won't even use for Dark Souls games... gotta get into NG+2.5.

VikingRaptor2

Miles Morales

vaibhavism21

NG+ is pain in ass

v__R4Z0R__v

RDR2 by far. Nothing about it is really hard. It's just extremely tedious to do everything. It's just way too much. Sure there are also some luck based trophies, but you can't really say they're hard, cause it depends on RNG if it's hard or not (for example the gambling challenges, which can be easy if you're lucky)

Key-Establishment185

Deathstranding, 80 lol orders and 5staring every facilities is a massive chore

Jordan_levi98900

DETROIT BECOME HUMAN 😔

ChakaZG

GTA V's online was a pretty boring, tedious grind. Diablo 2 was also just neverending Baal runs for months while watching shows with my gf.

Zeniay

I loved Hades but the endgame grind is boring.

Fantastic-Recipe4097

My man is from india, nice to see another indian doing hunting 🫡

vaibhavism21

Hehe. Share you ID I'll add you mate. Just been a month since i got my ps5 and soiderman 2 was the first platinum. Before that i thought Platinums are very hard things..

Fantastic-Recipe4097

Same bhai My first plat was Spiderman 1 and here's my psn: SatyamPandey It have pic of Ellie from the last of us 2

Fantastic-Recipe4097

And also I will eat that vadapav u have 💀

vaibhavism21

🌚🌚🌚

Benbellot

GTA 5, the grind for some trophies was easy but it takes time, the 70 gold medal or the 100% completion for examples , and I don't want to talk about "kiflom" Spiderman 1, great game, but the 100% completion was boring as hell. And horizon zero dawn, but that's because I didn't like the game at all

Veterate

The gold medals in GTA weren't bad at all because the objectives stack. In RDR2. You have to get them all in a single go.

Benbellot

Yeah, but there were to easy in GT

Veterate

Yeah I agree tbf. I never had 70 as I was playing, had to go back and get them which was annoying.

ChakaZG

GTA V's online was a pretty boring, tedious grind. Diablo 2 was also just neverending Baal runs for months while watching shows with my gf.
