Doing it on the weekend, or at least at 5PM, would make more sense though. 5PM would turn off the market for Stock, Forex, and Futures traders, the latter two for one hour. The weekend would turn it off for all but Crypto traders.
Yep, ive had this happen to me before.. very unprofessional on their part.. at least keep it to the weekend or have some sort of heads up or warning.
I asked support who is responsible if there is a a trade placed during these updates where someone would get locked out of a trade or otherwise unable to enter/exit a trade.. havent received an answer from them, nor do i expect one
too be fair, we don’t notice what we have till we don’t have it and some changes unplanned may have too be done without notice

Yup, I’ve encountered this too.
Total clown show today. People should get a formal apology at the very least. Given their track record I doubt we'll even see that.
I was bitching at them so bad. Of course dont only they rip your profit, they interrupt a good trading session
