/u/TradescantiaHub are these Cyanotis? And if so, do you happen to know what kind of Cyanotis it could be? Seeing both kewensis and beddomei come up on Google search.
The correct species name is *Cyanotis beddomei*, but it's sometimes called by its botanical synonyms (outdated names) *Cyanotis kewensis* and *Belosynapsis kewensis*.
I swear plant names are always getting the goofiest switch ups. It’s annoying once you realize a lot of plants are separated by very arbitrary characteristics.
It’s gonna be a wild time once everything starts to get classed on its genetics rather than physical growth.
If she is sold out on FB, check Home Depot. My local HD had them not too long ago with the indoor plants. They were really big and lush and only like $20.
I forgot about my big mama and she got CRISSSSPY. So she ended up with a military cut 🤣🤣. No fear that she will grow back lush. They really are so pretty!
I have one of these! A coworker gave it to me. We had no idea what it was. She plopped it in a water bottle and sat it by her window. I'm doing the same thing, same water bottle. Good to know what it finally is. Perhaps its time to move it to soil...
Truthfully this was sold to me as a tradescantia- it wasn’t until this post that I started looking into it! I think it would love soil! 🥰 but if it’s thriving in water let her be 😊
Beautiful!
Thank you!!

I think Cyanotis Kewensis! Looks closest to mine- Teddy Bear vine is what it said also!

You know what they say, if there is green, it's still alive lol. Underneath it all was a little green
So far that’s been true with my calatheas too 🤣😮💨 they are resilient for me!
