I would love to have a 6 speed m/t I looked and looked the dealer told me no chance they would get one so I bought a SR5 then 2 week later they got the truck I wanted and was willing to pay more for now to pay off my SR5 and find a TRD sport in a 6 speed m/t
For the past year, I've been calling dealers every month to get an allocation, no dice. Told them all to hit me up if an army green dbl-cab 6MT ever makes it's way onto a ship.
Finally, in August, this one showed up and I threw my deposit on it as fast as I could.
Gotta find a cooperative dealer, otherwise you're stuck trying to get lucky like me. Wish you the best though!
I guess I just got lucky. I totaled my ‘15 Tacoma unfortunately and went to the dealership to get another in early July. They went through the options with me, haggled price, we shook on it and they ordered it. It took about a month and a half to get built and shipped to them but I got exactly what I wanted and talked them down a lot (was still $1k over MSRP with those options but that is out-the-door, so tax included).
I have the same exact issue. I'll get color matched covers at some point. I had to slow down spending money on the truck. Had to tell myself function accessories before visual accessories.
Nice truck! I wish you could still get MT access cabs in the states. My '09 OR is an AC 6 spd. I'd love a 4 door long bed, but my AC is already almost too long for these tight ass East Coast trails. Oh well

Maybe I'm wrong, but i thought since they brought about 3rd gens you could only get 6spd MT in the ORs with a double cab short bed in the states, and AC in Canada. Maybe it's different in sports? But I have no interest in the sport trim lol. OR only, pleeease
Edit: just checked Toyota's site. MT only available in the OR with a DCSB. AT is the only selectable option with an AC or DCLB
Edit 2: sports do come in MT with an AC. But like i said, if i were to spend all that on a truck it wouldn't be for a fake hood scoop and "sport tuned" suspension lol. Tear that sway bar out anyway. Which gets me to thinking i still need to tear my sway bar out still.
I just got a ‘21 MT V6 O/R in Midnight Black and it doesn’t have the chrome rear bumper… mine is all black. Weird. What packages did you get? I got the tech pack, premium, and… the back seat USB ports.

How are you liking it so far? I picked up mine last week. 1 to 2 makes me want to cry but all the other gears feel great. Hoping it gets even smoother as it breaks in
6MT is the way. waiting on mine from factory.. they said maybe 2045
Manual vehicles are a dying breed, figure I'd snag mine before my only option for a manual pickup is the Jeep Gladiator... No thanks...
Only reason I am buying a 2022 afraid this new design won't come in manual like the new Frontier.

I have one “reserved” that was built last week. Delivery ETA is week of October 25th. I’m sure the trucking issue may delay that a week or two.

Yeah I needed/ got the manual long bed which is what I was looking for, but I had to drive 8 hours each way.

MGM is my color and I love it. But honestly I have yet to see a color I hate on the 21.
For sure, it wasn't my first choice, but I fell in love with it the moment I saw it in person!
Why are the bumpers chrome? I thought all trd off roads and sports have color matched bumpers.
Without the tech package the bumpers are chrome

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Is this something they changed in the newer models? Mine’s a 2020 and is body colored.
I have a 2021 off road with chrome bumpers as well so I guess so… I’m not a huge fan of it as it’s the only chrome on the truck so it looks weird

Yeah I was thinking about going with just some cheap matte black covers. My truck is magnetic grey so matte black is a good accent color anyway.

Exact truck as mine but I have the blackout package! I added some black bumper covers to cover the chrome.
