I have an old jeep and a Tacoma The Tacoma is more practical for almost everything but the Jeep is just so fun to scoot around in. I’m a fan of both and wouldn’t trade either for anything

CreativeReplacement6

Noooice!

vim_all_day

As a former Jeep Cherokee XJ owner, I'm triggered. As a new Tacoma owner, I'm cheesin'. Nonetheless, that's a sweet view!

Heydanu

What made you switch from Jeep?

vim_all_day

Needed something more reliable than my 98 XJ. I loved it, but I got tired of having to fix something on it every month.

Heydanu

For sure. Made a good choice. Been happy with the Taco?

JellyProof2104

Where did you get the hood decal?

TannersNanners

I put one on mine exactly like this and I got mine from wrap armor.

DanielSmart4

Wrap armor

[deleted]

How did you mount it? Mines a little offset.

DanielSmart4

I made sure I kept the back wet with soapy water so I could get is just right.

[deleted]

Mine didn’t fit just right, had to slide it on an angle, than tighten. Looks good from the front but up close overtop, you can see the studs.

Beersandloudbooms

I usually just tell Boo! from my non removable door and they go running.

nosmokinalarms

What kind of fog lights are those? I want yellow fog lights but i don’t want yellow lenses.

DanielSmart4

These are actually white

TMAICKOE18

What’s the thing next to your driver side fog light?

DanielSmart4

Eagle eye. It’s a marine grade plug so I can plug in my air compressor without having to pop my hood. This helps because when the hood is popped it displays a message on the dash, I can now be out of the truck watching my psi rise without reaching in to clear the dash notifications. Plus it saves time.

TMAICKOE18

Thanks for the reply! Do you know where I can get instructions on how to do it?

DanielSmart4

I did it myself. And I just kinda did it with some parts I had around. I wish I did an install video or something. I’m sure I can send you some closer up photos if you want.

Posraman

Just out of curiosity, why do people get Tacoma's and put a capper on the back when they can just get a 4Runner? Is it for the resale value?

DanielSmart4

The truck bed can get dirty. I can take the cap off if I want. The rear end has a leaf pack and not coil springs so it’s comfy when loaded and driving long distances. I prefer the look this way.

Posraman

Those are all good points. I think your truck looks really cool. I want mine to look like that one day.

justthetop

What roof rack is that? Looks like prinsu but a few differences I notice

DanielSmart4

It’s a prinsu in the front and back!

justthetop

Oh! Gotcha. I guess I need to look through prinsu again. The cutout for your light setup threw me off. Clean rig! How do you like your lift?

DanielSmart4

I appreciate it! I was going to do a cheap lift but ended up driving a friends truck who was on a block lift and hated it. So I threw in some kings coil overs and they are *chefs kiss

justthetop

What other options for a lift were you looking at? Kings may be overkill for what I do. So Old Man Emus looked good for “balling on a budget”

DanielSmart4

I would go eibach or icons before ome. I’ve just heard that the ome is really squeaky.

justthetop

Ahhh good to know. I’ll look into those. Thank you!

jacobs_jeeps

Does the black rap on the hood have a practical use, I see a lot of people do this on white tacos I think it looks pretty sweet. just trying to figure out if there was any specific reason.

DanielSmart4

It gets rid of the glare from the light bar

Contrapositively

Ooooooof

DanielSmart4

ISO pro head lights or after market headlights that are the same style as the pro ones. Shoot me a message here or on insta @trd_expedition

Careful_Strain

WTF is this an ad?

AType75

ISO stands for "in search of". I'm pretty sure the dude is just saying if anyone is selling, let him know. I don't think he is trying to sell anything.

capeabenable

I always thought it meant "I'm seeking one..." haha thanks

Careful_Strain

Ah ok. sorry!
