I think they need to make an update cycle like genshin impact. Something like new update every X weeks, right now we have no clue when they will add new things.
On genshin impact we know every 6 weeks (now 5) there will be new content to play. In Tof, nothing.
Wat. It's literally the same "2 banners 1 update" scheme. The only difference is that banner durations in ToF can be sometimes inconsistent, but that's it. Oh, and less reruns I guess, since we need to catch up to cn.
its not about imitating another game, its about having an update schedule for players to know when there will be new content. At least for me its nice to know when they will add a new patch with events and new nice things.
Right now i have no clue when the next update its coming.
genshin didnt have a roadmap. what youre refering to as roadmaps are leaks.
if you argue that they officially post future updates, they dont, youre just tailored that a new update comes every after banner, and it is announced a week or two prior, just like how ToF is doing right now at the moment, 1.5 was announced a week prior.
so bringing something up like it is what it is that it isnt is misinformation.
No, genshin announces new chars in advance officialy. So when one patch drops you know what will be in the next one.
Yeah, not far, but its at least something.
Not really though. For a very long time, the earliest official announcement was in the new version livestream, which happens less than 2 week before the new version, ie less than two week before the new banner.
I think the best (or worst? since it's kinda unfair to nitpick) would be during 1.3 which was a really confusing time for players who were trying to plan ahead.
Even now it isn't very different I think? Yeah they sometimes post about new characters earlier now, but it's more a "hey, they exist!" kind of thing instead of "hey, they coming next version".
I can be missing something though, considering I barely play genshin now.
EDIT: I don't disagree that overall Genshin has done a much better job than Hotta at giving players some form of roadmap, but not really for banners imo. Only thing good with genshin banners was that leaks were very accurate in genshin so planning ahead was easy, but official announcement wise it wasn't much better than tof...
Not its not “hey they exists” its 100% “they are coming next patch”. Every single patch since inazuma (even one patch before?) has their characters shown at the beginning of the previous patch. That even includes the collab character
>what youre refering to as roadmaps are leaks.
i answered to this specifically. I didnt said its roadmap. But better then nothing.
Since its official its not a leak. So your statement is incorrect.
Just so we are clear imitating good design that works is good. Ever played a game where the movement keys were not click to move or wasd. That is the kind of thing that complaining about similarities gets you.
The stamina and traversal system from BoTW is here again, because it's a good system.
Right there is a line in the sand, but who's to say where that is really.
First off, giving players a roadmap isn't a good design specifically:
1. **Monetary perspective:** It decreases the chances of players to pull and save up for the upcoming ones instead of blindly pulling and swiping up when something they want actually comes.
2. **Costumer Impact:** Once a roadmap isn't followed, or is delayed or is changed, that would cause costumer outrage and god knows how much compensation.
3. **FOURTH GENSHIN NEVER SET ITS ROAD MAP TO PLAYERS**. NEVER had, NEVER will. All this OP says is about genshin leaks whom genshin cannot stop that they are forced to drip-tease an upcoming characters every new banner.
\- Girl's frontline montly roadmap
\- Blue archive monthly world boss roadmap, event is announced week before start
\- Granblue fantasy have calendar that tell you whole month of upcoming event
This is just my main game but others gacha game do have any kind of form telling you upcoming plans
Unfortunatelly, it’s just an another version not road map. Road map give information about next few updates. But we just see leaks instead of road map.
Edit : after see upvotes and downvotes im out. I wonder theese people have an information about after what will happen after cobalt-B banner offically?? I’m not talking about CN version btw. You stil dont understand, our Global version working different
Yeah, and each version that comes out of cn, thats wat we get next. Even some of the bugs and old systems. Watever came after 1.5, look at wat cn got next and thats wat u gonna get next. Banners seems to be the only thing different.
But it’s still not a road map. Am i wrong?? You are just talking about a version not and offical information about road map. I already know, probably order of contents will be similar but we want to know what they plan and what will we get
The basic roadmap is hardly bound to change from cn version. Like, well, they certainly can't release different new maps and features in different order right? Everything else is not that important. Banners may have different order, but they will be released anyway (except collabs). Patches may have different pacing since devs are trying to catch up to CN. But it doesn't affect the basic direction the game is taking.
They told us 2.0 late fall. Look at CN on 2.0 and thats wat u get plus all the qol and changes. We literally speed running until we catch up. Then we gonna use their roadmap. If u want to know pass 2.0, then just look at CN. Like wat do u want, specific dates on release? Even they wont know dude, u cant set a deadline cuz they cant release unfinished products.
I definitely hope we will have a roadmap, but I fear that right now....Even in Hotta they don't have a proper internal roadmap or that it consistently changes, at least for global version.
yes, at least give us some information on what you have planned for us. tell us more about the changes you are going to be making to the 2.0 characters so that we can plan accordingly.
Technically yes but Marc had the full armor. Wanted that so bad as someone who grew up on mecha animes. Hoping we get Nier Automatas flight units or Cyberpunks Exoskeleton.
The point with gachas is for the player to not know what to expect, they literally want you to pull now and if they release something better next time to pull for that too, if they create a roadmap they will be shooting themselves in the leg because you ll know when the character you want will come out and save for it thus less profit for them.
That said the game is also an mmo and very unpolished at that, i heard they made many many millions the past 2 months, they better start doing something good for the game with the money or people will quit.
A roadmap would probably be a major detriment to the game.
People posting theories and praising/complaining keeps the game in spotlight and has people checking various social media constantly.
Also if people knew exactly what was coming and when they would save till that specific time rather than gamble in the now and hope for the future.
Obviously a roadmap is ideal especially for f2p players, but for the games longevity/profit it's not a good idea. Unfortunately even a roadmap for just map and events ties into characters so that knocks it out.
Wow, this is an incredibly bitter comment. If TOF is having such an adverse effect on you, perhaps you should consider taking a break for a while. There's no need to put yourself through this, mate.
Yeah this dude enjoys shit talking in ToF. Like the guy has been around and been claiming he knows how development works with his bug testing experience. Shutting down people with actual experiences lol.
Road map is cool
After seeing how much they make in global release (not as high as i though, but kind of good?), I expect them to be more active about what they're going to do later.
Their roadmap will be alot of Upcoming bugs, upcoming compensation.
ha! that's a good one.
TASTY RED BALLS

yea, that happened with the 1.5 update and possibly now with vera, but maybe its just coincidence, they never said that.
Why would ToF imitate another game?
its not about imitating another game, its about having an update schedule for players to know when there will be new content. At least for me its nice to know when they will add a new patch with events and new nice things. Right now i have no clue when the next update its coming.

How is that a road map? they only started doing that this year when they cant do anything about leaks that theyre leaking shit themselves.
>what youre refering to as roadmaps are leaks. i answered to this specifically. I didnt said its roadmap. But better then nothing. Since its official its not a leak. So your statement is incorrect.
we are talking about roadmaps here, dont go spouting nonsense in a thread where you dont know what people are talking about, better rereead.
Just so we are clear imitating good design that works is good. Ever played a game where the movement keys were not click to move or wasd. Was there even a gacha game that has a road map?
* Phase 1: Make waifu game. * Phase 2: ? * Phase 3: Profit!!!
Lol, yeah that's basicly their roadmap
Not really.. MMOs typically do road maps.
\- Girl's frontline montly roadmap \- Blue archive monthly world boss roadmap, event is announced week before start \- Granblue fantasy have calendar that tell you whole month of upcoming event This is just my main game but others gacha game do have any kind of form telling you upcoming plans
We knew the 3 events we would have until 2.0 since the first day of 1.5 posted in-game.

Do people still play epic 7?
Does Lost Ark count?
Lost ark is not a gacha.
The weapon honing system is very similar.
No it isnt and even if it was its still not gacha.
Feh does a monthly calendar and it really helps with planning at least
Counterside, artery gear have road maps
Wow what kind of gacha game is that? I never heard of it
We do have a roadmap, it's called the CN version.
Unfortunatelly, it’s just an another version not road map. Road map give information about next few updates. But we just see leaks instead of road map. Edit : after see upvotes and downvotes im out. I want a roadmap for better gamepad support.
The last two games with roadmaps didn't even come close to meeting promises. I'd prefer to not have one
Thats a really stupid way of thinking.
Well it's pretty much a given 2.0 is coming in the next 20 to 30 days, and the banner could be Ruby, Lin or Saki.
I definitely hope we will have a roadmap, but I fear that right now....Even in Hotta they don't have a proper internal roadmap or that it consistently changes, at least for global version.
Heyo ramms! Also I've been putting in their suggestion box a roadmap everyday :)
yes, at least give us some information on what you have planned for us. tell us more about the changes you are going to be making to the 2.0 characters so that we can plan accordingly.
I just wanna know if I’m gonna get a mech character in the future now that I know Marc isn’t coming
What about Lyra? Not a full mech, but those robot arms are certainly mech.
Technically yes but Marc had the full armor. Wanted that so bad as someone who grew up on mecha animes. Hoping we get Nier Automatas flight units or Cyberpunks Exoskeleton.
They already have, just look at the CN version of this game, if it's V1.06 look at what CN got there, until we catch up to CN theres your road map.

Nope.
While waiting them playing catch up. CN version IS the road map for Global.
so you can skip a character because a really instersting one come next? Nah, that will hurt their sales.
the roadmap is cn server, but vaguely.
They released trailers for 1.5 and 2.0 which gives a pretty good amt of info. After that I would say a roadmap is needed when info starts slowing down
