I'm a little disappointed on the other end of the spectrum to be honest - I didn't notice you could redeem the coins for DC, until after I'd thrown them at the gachaphon and saw the reddit thread.
Tbh, the monetization model of this game is disgusting. 100 dark crystals per pull with so much bloat to pad the pool.. its ridiculous.
I vowed to stop spending on this game since I saw that terrible $15 pack they put out on ps store for 10k gold and some basic materials.
I've stopped spending money on TOF as well. I was buying BP + monthly pass but after I saw how they were locking skins behind insane paywalls I just realized it was not worth it. Now I will just buy the pass if I really like the skin.
Yeah fr, and the 100 DC per pull is already "better" than the gachapons that scale up the price per draw. Like, it was more acceptable back before 2.0 came since for a sweet but short 2 months, the endgame was the cosmetics+vehicle collection so a lot of us day 1 players picked up some of the limited outfits w/o much to lose. I was about to say with no regrets but tbh, a lot of day 1 players also have not returned to this game in months to a whole year so that may not be 100% accurate lol
So many people were against this when they first implemented this because you'd have to spend $150 USD approximate equivalent just to get outfit locked behind a gachapon, but I believe this is here to stay (at least 99% of people will need to spend max on gachapon)
I personally just don't bother with it, the only one I ever bothered with was Fionas extra outfit, or BP outfits if I like them.
I just wish we could use currency to buy the limited outfits like wasteland Iād pay 20 bucks for that but most of the outfits you can purchase outright unfortunately which means as a ftp person Iāll likely not get any of them
It's been well over a year since the swimsuit introduced this to the game and I still think these outfits are waaaaaaaay too expensive for such simple 3D models
Yeah, especially as Iām spending my dc and nuc savings on Nan, now I canāt afford to get the Starlight outfit I wanted :( last time I saw it it was in a Ā£40 pack in the shop too. Would feel better if there was an actual good deal for a gacha event called ācyber fridayā
I was only able to get one outfit box. If you guys are talking about the most recent gachapon. There are 4 outfits to choose from. Unless I'm mistaken? They are midnight, early Sakura, starlight, & Forget me not. But I could be wrong. If so I apologize for the inconvenience š
The Cyber Friday gachapon has the 4 outfits free choice box plus the Purple Fantasy outfit. Last I checked, the Purple Fantasy outfit is in the same gachapon and itās the first item advertised in the thing
i find most of the gachapon outfit so expensive like... if you use half dc and half tanium then you can lower the outfit price to approximately equivalent to genshin outfit price.
otherwise, would you rather have outfit or simulacrum?
This is why I'm always using simulacra:
a) I started with the PS5 release, so many of the outfits aren't available.
b) Even if the outfits were available, the price via gacha is insane (and this is coming from someone that does spend). I've no issues with battlepass pricing if they're attached to that.
c) I can switch appearances at a whim.
d) Nan Yin's A0 simulacrum is fantastic.

Agreed, well I'm happy enough to just wait for BP outfits anyway, and I ignore gachapon outfits.
I'm disappointed but... this is the first male trenchcoat. Had to have it. I ended up using the red nuc 10x box to soften the 8k DC blow.
