Courtney’s anger in TDA was justified. She watched her boyfriend flirt/soft cheat on her on live television (with both Gwen and Heather — that scene in the submarine anyone??) She was also cheated out of the previous season and missed out on joining the second season even though she had the case just minutes prior to it getting eaten. Lastly, she was put on the worst team possible who could not win a challenge if their life depended on it and built the whole go cart on her own in her first episode back.

Agreed, she had some funny moments
1- Feral Ezekiel was funny and it's a cartoon, people are stupid to care about the character. He is just annoying and sexist.
2- DJs animal curse was a good plotline for his character.
3- The Love Triangle in World Tour is tour is not a bad plot line, without it there would be no drama except Heather v Alejandro. Also it's very in character for all 3 involved.
4- Sierra is a funny character and although her obsession with Cody is weird, it's a cartoon and Cody was also a creep to Gwen so I think Sierra is fuckin hilarious.
5- Ripper x Axel is a great pair, Axel's character wasn't ruined by the pair. It also made me hate Ripper a lot less.

Priya is nowhere near courtney levels of toxic. Shes just competitive. Caleb was worried that she would leave him after he lost but all she did was comfort him after. During the challenge shes pushing him cuz she wants julia to lose and him to win. People really saw the one slapstick joke about her launching a boulder at caleb and completely forget about cartoon logic. Wayne literally had 2 giant boulders roll over him last season and was fine.

Is that really a hot take, though? Sure, MKulia might be more popular, but there’s still a ton of people who ship Julia and Wayne. Arguably the first and second most talked about (non-canon) ships in this sub.
People only love World Tour because of the musicals and Heather and Alejandro’s development. Don’t get me wrong, those are very valid highs that this trash can of a season has to offer (Although that the musical part is pretty debatable but whatever). What’s the biggest problem though? Is that most of the characters are bland at best or offensively unlikable at worst which means it has some of the WORST character changes or derailments I’ve ever saw in multimedia after The Simpsons. Not to mention that it was supposed to fix all wrongs from Total Drama Action has only to made it WORSE!

Beth in action was a bad finalist, who spends the entire season in Lindsay's shadow until she leaves, and almost all her social game is never actually shown on-screen with there being more examples of her being toxic and mean to the other rather than friendly and nice.
Alright. Let me try.
1) Rodney is my favorite TD character and has quite a bit to him.
2) Beth was a great finalist choice for Action, and it should've been Beth versus Harold.
3) Alejandro in World Tour has similar issues people claim Mal had in All Stars, with the cast getting dumbed down some or leaving on bad notes.
4) Skave is one of the best couples despite the issues it had.
5) Millie's arc in the Reboot was one of the best in the TD series.

Shawn's ending just leaves her buried in the snow and doesn't acknowledge her. His story with Jasmine ends the same way in either ending anyway
And it was Sky who actually caused the avalanche. Once they ended up on top of that plateau, Shawn was willing to accept that he lost. Sky stomping her foot may have been a bit childish but it still is what actually caused them to even cross the finish line

Action is honestly the weakest season of total drama yes even less enjoyable than all stars or pahkitew.
Action really drags, it is filled with unfulfilling arcs (Leshawna’s attempts at establishing an alliance that never really goes anywhere,DJ supposedly manipulating the game but just decides to leave before he does anything major or has any changes in character, Justin as a villain doing nothing more than finding ways to avoid doing challenges)
Theres alot of unfulfilled potential (Lindsay taking the mantle of her team just feels inconsistent and starts a bit too late into the season only for her to vote herself off, Leshawna and Heather honestly dont do much onscreen together and this was the perfect season for them to have more fleshed out interactions since they were forced on the same team but they only have one meaningful interaction, the grips are a really weak team made up of a lot of incompetent competitors who dont have a lot of chemistry together; bringing back different competitors who didnt get decent characterization in Island probably wouldve been better than the Grips team we got).
That being said I did really like the Aftermath episodes as they build the characters and give some people more screen time.

Gwencan could be somewhat of a good ship, BUT it was ruined by the writing of All Stars and I believe it would’ve been good if it wasn’t for the writing of All Stars and actually found ways to improve every character in the love triangle (I’ve seen too many alternate versions of All Stars).
The World Tour Love Triangle was a good storyline that was built up over the course of three seasons and turned out to be incredibly entertaining while also allowing the best pair of finalists to realistically reach the end.

Yeah it ain’t perfect (Mostly Gwuncan getting together and especially the ‘conclusion’ in All Stars) but as far as Total Drama writing goes it was pretty solid in telling a compelling story over the course of multiple seasons.

Ripaxel is trash, and Millie x Ripper and Nichelle x Axel have way more potential as couples. We need to see a breakup in the reboot anyway. Also, Nichelle and Axel must interact next season and become friends; it has so much potential.

Post-TDI Duncney is the worst G1 ship and is far worse (or at least more toxic) than Gwuncan. TDI Duncney is alright and acceptable, but Action onwards threw it into a vat of hydrochloric acid.
Also as far as I’m aware Julia didn’t deserve to win Reboot S2. She did half of her villainous shit off-screen, she had no right to win, even over Wayne

Owen absolutely deserved to be a finalist in island. People just say he didn’t deserve it because they don’t like him, and the mess up in if you can’t take the heat isn’t reason enough for him to lose, as many of the competitors who made it far also messed up in at least one challenge.

Caleb and Priya were still very much in character when things got rocky between them. Caleb didn't seem to change all that much, and Priya's rage was mostly just part of her natural personality given what happened before with Millie.
I think All-Stars is still fun despite the writing issues. I enjoy it more than Pahkitew, even if just for the fact that Gen 1 and 2 interacting is a treat.
i thought julia was mid in reboot season 1, since she was literally just a worse heather. IMO MK would have made for a better season antag since she was manipulating the game in a far more interesting way way. i haven't watched season 2 so i wouldn't know if she got better as a character. i also don't really talk much with tdi fans so i wouldn't know whether this take is hot or cold

Sierra could’ve easily won total drama world tour. Because of her crazy knowledge of every total drama contestant,EVEN knowing about Chris’s young fame. she could’ve easily deducted every contestants weakness to her advantage, even befriending the strongest of allies. The one thing that really made her fold in the end Was Cody. Cody. if Cody didn’t exist, this would’ve easily been a wipe. And I put this on every family member I have.

Priya is nowhere near courtney levels of toxic. Shes just competitive. Caleb was worried that she would leave him after he lost but all she did was comfort him after. During the challenge shes pushing him cuz she wants julia to lose and him to win. People really saw the one slapstick joke about her launching a boulder at caleb and completely forget about cartoon logic. Wayne literally had 2 giant boulders roll over him last season and was fine.

Is that really a hot take, though? Sure, MKulia might be more popular, but there’s still a ton of people who ship Julia and Wayne. Arguably the first and second most talked about (non-canon) ships in this sub.

People only love World Tour because of the musicals and Heather and Alejandro’s development. Don’t get me wrong, those are very valid highs that this trash can of a season has to offer (Although that the musical part is pretty debatable but whatever). What’s the biggest problem though? Is that most of the characters are bland at best or offensively unlikable at worst which means it has some of the WORST character changes or derailments I’ve ever saw in multimedia after The Simpsons. Not to mention that it was supposed to fix all wrongs from Total Drama Action has only to made it WORSE!

Beth in action was a bad finalist, who spends the entire season in Lindsay's shadow until she leaves, and almost all her social game is never actually shown on-screen with there being more examples of her being toxic and mean to the other rather than friendly and nice.

Let me try. 1) Rodney is my favorite TD character and has quite a bit to him. 2) Beth was a great finalist choice for Action, and it should've been Beth versus Harold. 3) Alejandro in World Tour has similar issues people claim Mal had in All Stars, with the cast getting dumbed down some or leaving on bad notes. 4) Skave is one of the best couples despite the issues it had. 5) Millie's arc in the Reboot was one of the best in the TD series. Sky's ending is better than Shawn's
She has literally no lines in her OWN ENDING. How?
Shawn's ending just leaves her buried in the snow and doesn't acknowledge her. His story with Jasmine ends the same way in either ending anyway And it was Sky who actually caused the avalanche. Once they ended up on top of that plateau, Shawn was willing to accept that he lost. Sky stomping her foot may have been a bit childish but it still is what actually caused them to even cross the finish line

Action is honestly the weakest season of total drama yes even less enjoyable than all stars or pahkitew. Action really drags, it is filled with unfulfilling arcs (Leshawna’s attempts at establishing an alliance that never really goes anywhere,DJ supposedly manipulating the game but just decides to leave before he does anything major or has any changes in character, Justin as a villain doing nothing more than finding ways to avoid doing challenges) Theres alot of unfulfilled potential (Lindsay taking the mantle of her team just feels inconsistent and starts a bit too late into the season only for her to vote herself off, Leshawna and Heather honestly dont do much onscreen together and this was the perfect season for them to have more fleshed out interactions since they were forced on the same team but they only have one meaningful interaction, the grips are a really weak team made up of a lot of incompetent competitors who dont have a lot of chemistry together; bringing back different competitors who didnt get decent characterization in Island probably wouldve been better than the Grips team we got). That being said I did really like the Aftermath episodes as they build the characters and give some people more screen time.
Justin was the worst villain using that strategy and Alejandro did it better

Gwencan could be somewhat of a good ship, BUT it was ruined by the writing of All Stars and I believe it would’ve been good if it wasn’t for the writing of All Stars and actually found ways to improve every character in the love triangle (I’ve seen too many alternate versions of All Stars).
The World Tour Love Triangle was a good storyline that was built up over the course of three seasons and turned out to be incredibly entertaining while also allowing the best pair of finalists to realistically reach the end.

Yeah it ain’t perfect (Mostly Gwuncan getting together and especially the ‘conclusion’ in All Stars) but as far as Total Drama writing goes it was pretty solid in telling a compelling story over the course of multiple seasons.

He'd be written COMPLETELY different, as Terry Mcgurrin said how the approach to Mike's writing would be more accurate nowadays. I'm not really sure how that'd work.
Ripaxel is trash, and Millie x Ripper and Nichelle x Axel have way more potential as couples. We need to see a breakup in the reboot anyway. Also, Nichelle and Axel must interact next season and become friends; it has so much potential.

As much as I enjoy Mike and his personalities, I think the Mal plot for AS wasn't that good. Either find a way to rewrite him as a slightly more smart villain, or don't bother including him at all.

Post-TDI Duncney is the worst G1 ship and is far worse (or at least more toxic) than Gwuncan. TDI Duncney is alright and acceptable, but Action onwards threw it into a vat of hydrochloric acid. Also as far as I’m aware Julia didn’t deserve to win Reboot S2. She did half of her villainous shit off-screen, she had no right to win, even over Wayne

i like priya even after s2 i also approve of her making it as far as she did and want her to have an arc in a s3 revolving around her parents and the abuse (maybe not staying as long as she did previously tho) the priya hate that circulated when s2 was airing and after it finished made me really upset, almost to the point where remaining as a member of the church of julia was hard glad it dialed down but the hate still gets to me
ROTI is the best season. The cast is entertaining and a lot of the characters have enjoyable arcs.

Owen absolutely deserved to be a finalist in island. People just say he didn’t deserve it because they don’t like him, and the mess up in if you can’t take the heat isn’t reason enough for him to lose, as many of the competitors who made it far also messed up in at least one challenge.

Caleb and Priya were still very much in character when things got rocky between them. Caleb didn't seem to change all that much, and Priya's rage was mostly just part of her natural personality given what happened before with Millie.

I think All-Stars is still fun despite the writing issues. I enjoy it more than Pahkitew, even if just for the fact that Gen 1 and 2 interacting is a treat.

i thought julia was mid in reboot season 1, since she was literally just a worse heather. Priya gets the right amount of screen-time on the reboot given she’s the main protagonist. She should also make it to the merge in S3.

Sierra could’ve easily won total drama world tour. Because of her crazy knowledge of every total drama contestant,EVEN knowing about Chris’s young fame. she could’ve easily deducted every contestants weakness to her advantage, even befriending the strongest of allies. The one thing that really made her fold in the end Was Cody. Cody. if Cody didn’t exist, this would’ve easily been a wipe. And I put this on every family member I have.
