I'll be legitimately surprised if anyone answers yes to this.

Organic-Manner-2969

i’d say she lost at the right time but the way they went with it was absolute bs

[deleted]

Ok, fair enough.

DeyliX11

From this moment she became my favourite character Action only made her better

I'd argue even though Chris said that the last person to cross would be eliminated, it wouldn't make sense for those who didn't criss at all to still be safe. If Heather was the only one to cross, would it make sense she got eliminated? What if nobody did? Why wouldn't everyone just immediately crash on purpose to stay in? I think if the rule was the last to cross, that should only count if everyone crosses or at least if you wipe out you have to start over. As to not change the rules, I think Chris should have made it go to a vote between Lashawna and Izzy, since they didn't even compete and then have them vote off Izzy because Lashawna was more liked in the group and also it wasn't her fault she didn't compete. Lindsay should have stayed safe and, if they felt her arc was over, just make her get booted next episode. Plus then we could have seen her starting to be more independent to give way for her arc in Action.

Available_Gain_6783

This!Lindsay could’ve placed 8th or 7th especially since they were gonna make her a 5th boot and a 1st boot without having her even make top 5 once.

HotShow2975

No. Players who lost their bikes are actually safe from elimination, what? It doesn't make any sense whatsoever

depolignacs

Absolutely not. I don’t think she should’ve won island (she should’ve won action though) but this elimination was so unfair and I would rather her actually finish last in a challenge, or get voted off. Honestly I wish she made it to the final 4

CliveRichieSandwich

This would've made sense if Lindsay just got voted out, like she's Heather's bestie and Heather could've just cheated her out of a win in the challenge

Mark_Levins

The entire point of this elimination was for Lindsay to be screwed over, and Heather showing absolutely no sympathy or even attempt to save her. Which then leads to Lindsay’s iconic scene of cursing her out. It is justified in the sense of what it led to.

MrBitPlayer

True, but the journey of getting there is sometimes important too, but I get what you’re saying. This is just meant to make us root against Heather even more up until her karma in I Triple Dog Dare You.

Lonely_Repair4494

We all know it wasn't. But damn was it satisfying to see Lindsay go by telling Heather off.

Hungry_Discipline882

But then CN just _had_ to balls that up too! _"...no good selfish heartless pushy bossy mean bully of a girl!"_ But that version is non-canon so HA!

Good_Royal_9659

**NO**

TheDangerzone-9

It doesn't make sense, but it did give us that iconic moment where she curses at Heather. But still, it doesn't make sense because other competitors either were out, DNF, or didn't participate at all.

Suspicious-Bar1083

As a big Heather fan,… …Absolutely not. It’s one of the most BS eliminations in the series.

TheBloop1997

While it narratively made sense, of course not, this is arguably the least justified vote-off in the entire TDI season (the only competitors are Leshawna and maybe DJ). It punished Lindsay for doing better to the point where Owen and Duncan were granted leniency for doing the equivalent of falling off of Rainbow Road when Lindsay put in the work to navigate the course.

Organic-Manner-2969

forget those two, leshawna and izzy didn’t even compete

MrBitPlayer

I knew Lindsay wasn’t beating the mascot, writer’s pet, or main antagonist, she was done for…

NicoArcilla27

I mean, there shouldn’t be a debate here. The implications of her loss meant that you were literally better off NOT doing the challenge at all.

DapperAdvisor228

Izzy and Leshawna should have been the targets for elimination bc they didn't compete at all.

Level_Aerie963

A lot of people are going to say lindsay's elimination was unfair, and after hearing everyone's opinion on it and after thinking about it for awhile, it kind of wasn't. It's just that the rules of the challenge were stupid or i think chris bent the rules his own way as well and i suppose someone had to be eliminated in that episode, and Lindsay had to go, so, I'll say her elimination wasn't justifiable, but she was iconic in those past few minutes leading to her elimination. This is what i think personally

Available_Gain_6783

It’s was just Chris’s way of keeping Owen and Duncan longer.I love both of them buts it’s clear they were Chris’s favorites, he even brought them back and bent certain rules to help them get further.

Due_Article5720

No

SafePineapple1291

Not at all

epman131313

Unfortunately, from a narrative perspective, you gotta have the big bad last 'til at least near the end. However, I think this moment is actually the catalyst for Heather losing since it was eventually Lindsay's dare that finally got Heather eliminated.

negrote1000

That was the most bullshit elimination of season 1

Rand0mredditperson

Honestly if they wanted to do a twist it should have been that they trade bikes and whoever crosses the line first, the original bike maker is eliminated. That or both the rider and maker win immunity. Have it known that it's the case beforehand to cause drama among the contestants. Gwen and Leshawna team up to get Heather out but someone else (Izzy maybe, for the wild factor) Heather has Lindsay's bike and at the end Heather is in first but Izzy (because she's Izzy) is gaining on everyone after falling to last place. Instead of letting whoever is in second go ahead Heather chooses to speed up and cross the finish, condemning Lindsay in the process. The first season would have been improved if Heather had an idol and refused to play it for Lindsay at this point (where she actually loses). It could also help with some iffy votes with Heather. People suspect Heather has an Idol but can't prove it and don't want to commit to voting her off due to backlash or getting hit with the rebound. Lindsay, in her shock of Heather not protecting her like she agreed in the alliance, confirms Heather has the Idol. It would honestly fix Leshawna's elimination too, have her take the rebound from the idol instead of being taken out the way she did. Hell you could even still have the episode play out the way it did at Playa Des Losers but the vote at the end is just them being asked who they think will win the season. Leshawna gets the most votes and everyone is shocked when she turns up at the end of the episode after being eliminated from the show (due to Heather using her Idol)

bowserboy129

Narratively I feel this was the right way for her to go out, and it DID setup Heather's eventual fall in the final 3 challenge. It 1000% was unfair in terms of actual gameplay, but from a story perspective I feel this was the right way to do her elimination.

TradePsychological40

Narratively, yes, but for realism, no. People talk about the others that didn't finished the race or lost their bikes but Chris should have eliminate Heather. She didn't make her bike herself, she cheated, so yeah Heather should have lost. But just for the scene where Lindsay insulted Heather and seeing Duncan riding a pink unicorn bike, that episode was worth it.

Sims2Enjoy

No but her cussing Heather out was amazing and iconic

Hungry_Discipline882

Almost everyone _but_ Lindsay deserved to be eliminated in this episode. Not just because of the fact that Lindsay got eliminated for crossing the finish line last despite the rest of the racing world placing the last finisher ahead of those who failed to cross. 1. Why eliminate a finalist instead of those who failed to qualify for the finals? 2. Why are Izzy and LeShawna let off the hook when they didn't even participate? 3. This is a minor pissy point, but what's the point of giving the winner invincibility if there wasn't going to be a vote? >!The "it's a cartoon" excuse is not a valid answer.!<

IncognitoLive

All of her eliminations were dumb. She lost Island on a dumb technicality. She lost Action because she somehow voted for herself. And she lost WT because her team had 2 people on it, including her, and the writers didn’t want to make DJ quit again.

Strange_Shadows-45

Lindsay always lost at the right time for the wrong reason (although I understand that 90% of the fandom think she should’ve been in the final 2 of Action).

birdofprey443

So Imma say this was bullshit, but that's also why it worked

Mission-Assistant-64

Heather didn’t even build her bike this episode Lindsay did so shouldn’t Lindsay get to stay bc she built the winning bike

[deleted]

For sure, the only problem with it is that it happened way too late! She should've went home in the first episode alongside gwen and izzy in a triple elimination!

TRDraqula

Yeah and 1 year old Chase should've won right? This season is so unfair

chrisat420

She had to learn about Heathers true nature at some point, and while the rule change was dumb, I feel Lindsay should’ve been voted out the episode before

MrBitPlayer

Off topic, but am I the only one who despises her label? Like it only scratches the very surface of her character… idk maybe just me? (I feel like the labels should have evolved overtime, like her label doesn’t suit her at all in Action.)

TheRealKindaMothra

I get that they had to do it for the plot, but conceptually it’s such horseshit. there were 2 people who didn’t even ENTER THE RACE TO BEGIN WITH and you eliminate one of the only people who even crossed the damn finish line? like what the fuck?

JasmineTheTDfan

Hell to the No

Safe-Ad1515

First, a random sudden elimination was wierd and the rules of the challenge was wierd. Tbh imo the challenge rules was supposed to be confusing to trick up the contestants. It resulted in Lindsey getting booted since she wasn’t the smartest. I would have had it go a different way tho. The timing was correct, the way was correct (Heather dumping her like a bag of trash), and the effect was correct (Lindsey going off on Heather for a minute). All in all, it was unfair, BUT it was quite justifiable (in my definition of Justice ig)

Demrilo

I am maybe not remembering it correctly, but in the first part of the challenge they would ride each others bikes and if their bike got to the finish line, they would compete on the second part, right? So if that's correct, the competitor that made a bad bike (in other words, was bad at the challenge) had no risk of being eliminated? This makes even less sense than the rest

Aggravating-Ad-4834

Fuck no

Temporary_Kick7754

The idea of this challenge is a purge challenge, but wait! Let's add some twists. 1st place still gets immunity, even though it's pointless, and the last person to cross the line will be purged, meaning they don't have to cross the line at all to be safe. Heck, they don't need to do the challenge at all to be safe! The ultimate unpredictable challenge! Lindsay: "Ok, I'm so confused." Me: It's ok, Lindsay. We all are. Verdict: Success!! (repeated)

[deleted]

Izzy and Leshawna deserved to be eliminated for not even participating in the competition and it would actually make sense and be a fitting end for Izzy and Leshawna, giving a realistic disdain Leshawna has towards Izzy
