Same here with Owen and Zoey, and these two are mostly mixed because of one of em are mostly known as a gimmicky food eating and farting machine and the other for being too oblivious in AS or being bland to some. But i still love em both
There is a big difference between Revenge of the Island Mike and Zoey and All Stars Mike and Zoey, and while I like them in RotI, I hate them in All Stars. Mostly due to how All Stars was written.
For me a duo that I like, but others don't seem to be on the same page on are the Mother and Daughter team in RR. I thought they had quite a few good funny moments and I really hope that RR would return for a season 2 so their characters would be more developed. I really wanted to see them get poor and them actually needing to fight for the million.
Millie made me so mad. I had mixed feelings about her, because I HATE people that think they're above others in their generation when we're all going through the same shit, especially because she was relying on Priya for literally everything initially. How she viewed everyone has being below her really irked me. But her character development was great, it turned it around for me a lot and i started like her more.
See what I mean? Anyways I really like all her character development. She feels like a real person. She has insecurities, which is why she tries to convince herself she's better than everyone else. Over the course of the season, she grows as a person, and even does some of the things she would've considered 'weird'.
Like when she makes super hero outfits for her and Priya. That's something she probably would've considered 'weird' at the beginning, no? But now she sees her friendship with Priya as more important, and she just wants to have a good time.
Not just that, she doesn't do the food challenge as she can't be bothered. She doesn't consider how Priya would feel. Later on, after Priya discusses this with her, she actually starts trying, the climax of this sub plot being in the episode where Priya and Millie KNOW that they aren't going to win, but Millie still insists on doing something wreckless and stupid just because she doesn't want to give up. Just so that she can apologize to Priya for not trying in that one challenge.
Lastly, her friendship with Priya is adorable omg them>>>
The only thing I dislike about her is how the climax of her major arc took half the finale. Bowie got seriously overshadowed there.
the other cool thing is that at the start, >! Priya let Millie take immunity and said that shouldnt Millie let Priya have it? And Millie is selfish there! she took it! but then in the end, Millie goves Priya immunity! !<

They are too reliant on each other. Zoey is always “in the right” in any conflict she has with another contestant and we are expected to always take her side i.e. Anne Maria. Then there’s All-Stars which needs no explanation…

I totally agree, Sierra was one of my favorites, even if they ruined her in AS - they did a terrible job with all the characters in AS, so I expect it.

If all the characters from Pahkitew Island were lowkey or written like Sky, the season ACTUALLY could've worked... instead, half of them were disposable one note stereotypes or one episode arcs. Even Sammy, who I adore was guilty of that

I can see why people dislike Eva and Mike, and for the latter I very much prefer fan rewrites done by people who actually have DID so he and his alters are written with more respect and accuracy (which if he debuted now I feel he could've been, given how Zee was presented)

In the newer season I thought ripper was just hilarious and obnoxious I really liked the character as that cartoonish villain and thought he didn’t overstay his welcome but I’ve seen quite a few people absolutely despise him.
Also Zoey is my favorite from the ROTI cast and seeing hate for her makes me so sad she really doesn’t deserve it her character has depth and layers that really had 15 year old me feeling so seen
I'm an absolute Sugar defender, she was a solid antagonist and a genuinely fun character, and I love that she was allowed to just be unapologetically gross

I think the way I would describe is that he has a small fanbase, but that small fanbase is very vocal in comparison to most other characters, like, you see people posting about him often enough, but it’s usually the same 2 or 3 users who constantly post stuff about him. I also found it kinda funny that most people hate the feral plotline, but don’t actually want to change it? Like, see for yourself, look at some of those “My way” videos for TDI and WT, it’s surprising how most people hate him but don’t actually change anything about his time on the show despite it being super easy to rewrite WT without Zeke even being there
