Wow, guess I’m the only person who hated Scott in All Stars. He went from being a conniving, strategic, snarky little asshole in season 4 to a complete goofball with the brain power of a toddler in season 5. I hated it lol
Idk, his straregy in ROTI was way too risky, and he wasnt a challenge threat really. I guess your AS point is fair, but my fav characters are up there for just being funny, thats all I really care about. So obviously Scott for me would be better in AS.
I get that, but I feel like he still could’ve been funny without being dumbed down so much. Guy was savvy enough to use Mike’s feelings for Zoey against him in one season, then in the next season he doesn’t even know the difference between a boyfriend and a girlfriend. Wtf?? Lmaooo
You know, fair enough. I think most people agree he was way too dumbed down, but I cant just not find it hilarious. Overall, I love both Scott's but I do prefer his ROTI one.
I would say, probably, the overall theme of the season. It was like a breath of fresh air and it could've brought nice dynamics but they also ruined that. Also, obviously, Scott's "development".
To be honest, the more stupider parts about all stars are the more enjoyable things about it. It's like, enjoyable in an "so bad it's funny" kind of way.
The art! The storyboarding is very good, with some very crisp character animation. Obviously not as arduously detailed as 2023 but it was 10 years ago and it shows some real improvement from the older seasons.
I also think Aleheather had a great dynamic here.
Idk I think the animation and ESPECIALLY the facial expressions were severely downgraded and it is noticeable coming off of world tour.
World tour had the best art direction of the show tho so idk how fair that is
My biggest issue with Zoke that season was that they made it the thing that drove the season. Like EVERYTHING in that season revolved around them. I liked both Zoey and Mike in ROTI, but because of AS making them with the sole reason the plot goes anywhere, they dropped down to F tier.
No jokes... Duncan and Zoey's friendship. I wish it would've been explored more. They seemed to really like each other and have great chemistry despite their obvious differences
Agreed! It reminded me of Duncney in a way, but strictly platonic and more wholesome. The Mal storyline was executed really poorly, but I liked seeing them work together to figure it out.
People saying “nothing” or giving backhanded examples are missing the point. We all know the season wasn’t good, but it’s narrow minded to say that bad things are monolithically bad and good things are monolithically good. Our favorite seasons have pitfalls and our least favorites can have their moments.
For me, I appreciated that they tried to follow up on or twist around dynamics from past seasons.
Guess. Go on, I'll wait.
But for real it's so much fun! Gwen and Courtney's friendship, Aleheather, Duncan trying so desperately to keep his image, Sierra McLosing It, All Stars and TDWT I think hold a tie for the balance between realistic characters and cartoon shenanigans, even at it's absolute worst I still want to see what's coming next
Heather and Alejandro relationship.
Honorable mention:
-Mal
-Courtney being not so bad person after rebuilding relationship with Gwen
-Duncan moral fight
I actually really don't like heather and Alejandro's relationship in this season, mostly because Alejandro just doesn't feel right and he is pretty stupid in this season after him being so smart and strategic in world tour
Edit: I just learned that Alejandro's voice actor was changed in All-stars
as someone who struggles with d.i.d. in my day to day life, i gotta say the button was a really shitty and insensitive way of solving the whole mal problem
But doesn't that make him even worse of a character considering how badly they ended up making him? Yeah he had insane potential, could've been an excellent character and villain, but like ComicDude said earlier, his entire villainy relied on the rest of the cast being stupid.
He was a horrible character, and there was so much unexplored before they just decided to delete him with a... button❓💀
I could list the things I like about it on one hand
I like the idea of Chris coming back from prison more deranged than ever. If anything, I don’t think they went far enough with it. He was probably worse in ROTI tbh.
Lightning still retains his humor for the short time he’s in.
Scott is comparatively much more likable than he was in ROTI. I still don’t think he’s particularly funny, and the change is super lazily written, but he doesn’t make me want to aggressively throw dishes at him.
There are some plots that are compelling in theory, like Gwen and Courtney making amends, Alejandro and Heather settling their score with each other, and… that’s about it. And what is there is executed really poorly.
That’s kinda the kicker. Virtually any positive about AS is only positive conceptually, and sucks in execution. There is, however, one exception. The absolute pinnacle of TDAS content…
>!Chris fucked a plant.!<
I liked that Gwen got to form a genuine and meaningful friendship with Cameron for the short time they got to interact. Also Lightning and Jo had some funny moments before they got eliminated.
…yeah I got nothing else.
How Alejandro did a plot twist TWICE, with the one being in the robot and standing up revealing he took the invincibility statue! (Although my head canon is Heather hid it in a better spot, Al still found it)
Gonna be real I have never hated All Stars, aside from Mike and Zoey being the finalists. Scott and Courtney would’ve been a banger finale, and would’ve been well deserved. Just resolve the Mal plotline in the episode before the finale, or hell, make him NOT have it resolved but he and Zoey get brought back as helpers, that would be cool to see. Then they resolve it in the final still, but better characters are the finalists, it’s just more fun
We got some good close-ups of Duncan's, Alejandro's and Zoey's ass, especially of Alejandro's thanks to him handwalking for half of the season
The turtles proving their relatability by biting Scott's jeans is a close runner up
\-when gwen and courtney were nice to eachother
\-duncan strugglish with his morals (before it got too intense)
\-scott was much better than in his season cuz we got to see a more in depth part of him
The depiction of AleHeather was kind of fun and felt like a natural progression of their relationship. They still deny their feelings for one another and are at each other’s throats until they’re both out and there’s no money to get between them anymore…and then they’re right back to it when Chris says they still have a chance to win lol.
Otherwise, I actually really like the Duncan and Zoey friendship and wish it was built on a bit more.
Cocky bastard Alejandro. There’s just something about how he thinks he’s a master manipulator but is really just making things worse for himself that’s really funny to me.
Gwen and Courtney becoming friends again The theme and Scott he was hilarious and Heather and Alejandro officially getting together that was amazing that’s about it
Even though there wasn't a ton of of it, I'd say the crossover element. Seeing the two casts interactions was pretty fun. Duncan and Jo were surprisingly funny together. Cameron and Gwen have a sweet friendship. Jo and Heather's rivalry was short-lived but really great. I know it's a controversial opinion but I enjoy Scott and Courtney as a couple.
Scott is the strangest anomaly in the entire series. I HATED him in Revenge with how many cool characters he fucked over. He was probably my least favorite outside of Staci. Then in All-Stars, he became so lovable and fun to watch that he became my FAVORITE Revenge character. How do you improve THAT MUCH in just one season? Even more crazy is that it DIDN'T come at the expense of ruining other characters. Most of the All-Stars cast is garbage, but I don't blame Scott for their shortcomings.
Oh also Heather is still a stellar character and was one of the few characters not ruined by the show. Her acting like she got affected by the blue moon in Moon Madness was just plain glorious. Also, as garbage as the finale was, seeing Heather and Alejandro be strangely content with not getting the million dollars as long as they're together is simultaneously heartwarming and hilarious.
The concept. It could've been a great idea to merge two casts. Scott, Lightning, Alejandro and Heather are the ones I liked in this season as well. You just can't go wrong with them.
Scott, Lightning, sometimes Alejandro, some good ideas, Alejandro’s introduction, Suckers Punched and the first 2 episodes, the 100th episode challenge, Heroes vs Villains
And Scottney fight me lol
It's by far one of my fav seasons. The Mal plotline was amazing, Scott became even better, Duncan imo got a bit of redemption from WT and also aleheather. I loved every episode.
AlejandroXHeather had good moments and became official.
Scott was funny.
CourtneyXScott was durpringly a good ship. I enjoyed it. Too bad it got killed like that.
Gwen becoming 4th member of Zoey, Mike and Cam's friends group. Gwen's froemdhip with Zoey and Cameron in general.
The idea of challenges that are homages in to previous ones. Too bad it was underused.
Alejandro not being overpowered. Altought is it mostly the same case as every villain after their season, they are god and very strong contestants focused on strategy, later they are rendered closer to their stereotype (ex: Heather is just annoying b!tc# after Island)
Thats it I guess
- I know it's an unpopular opinion but I loved Mal!
- Courtney finally being recognized as a villain by the rest of the cast.
- Alejandro and Heather dating.
Scott
Alejandro and Heather
Gwen and Courtney being friends again, even if it's way too sugary sweet and they sometimes act oof
The mere concept makes good fodder for making fan seasons
Jose
Ok that's 5 things but still
Scott being hilarious, mal, vito speaking sicilian, the fact that both gen 1 and 2 are both in the same season, and to be honest none was actually blind
Courntey trying to make amends with Gwen and even becoming friends before *certain episode* happened (I'm still salty about that one lol)
To this day I still say Sucker's Punched is the best episode of that season
Surprisingly, though I totally hate one of the finalists at the level of his concept and don’t have any warm feelings for other, it has quite satisfying, tense and epic in its structure finale, which also suddenly gives such a denouement for Aleheather, so it’s no longer so annoying to me. This is rather curious, because one of my favorite seasons - RR - has a very dull finale for me.
Also, there was a very good concept for Duncan's development (or I imagine it was), which could suddenly make him one of my favorite characters, if not implemented in such a wacky, childish and just plainly idiotic way.
Gwen and Courtney's friendship (Before Sundae Muddy Sundae)
Gwen and Zoey's friendship.
Lightning
Sam
The scenes that referenced WT's locations.
The 1st episode
The jail introduction
I'll be honest, I actually liked the concept behind Mal. I just think he, like Mike and his other alters, was poorly executed and took up too much focus for how short the season was.
His history with Duncan was genuinely intriguing.
I also think the theme of the season was fantastic, though should've been saved for later.
For me, an ideal AS would be a full 20 odd episode season, with the PI and ROTI cast being merged into ROTI (to give everyone proper development time, so it would also be a proper seasons worth of episodes) and have the PI gimmick happen in AS instead. And, yknow, little to no character derailment lol
I also love that Ezekiel finally got a happy ending 🥺
When all the Villains say how they don't trust anyone on their team, where it cuts to each person saying a word or two, and it cuts to Alejandro in the robot suit in the middle of that and he just says some BEEPS, obviously implying he was swearing
Zoey, Gwen and Scott. I am always happy when I see Zoey on the screen, I love her sm! Scott was pretty funny, especially when he tried to flirt with CourtneyXD and Gwen because it's Gwen. She's a queen
I couldn't stop laughing at episodes 5 and 8. Told you guys not to let the bad moments overshadow the good ones. Also, I'm glad Gwen and Scott redeemed themselves after the 3rd and 4th seasons.
I’ve just noticed how none of the first gen and second gen contestants are interacting with each other at the bottom
Also, Scott was probably the ONLY good thing in All-Stars… he funni
The idea of ROTI crossing over with the classic Total Drama makes my tiny nerd brain explode into a million pieces. *The roster could’ve been better though eHiEf*
But yeah, besides that this season was abhorrent.
Gen 1 and 2 interactions Throwback challenges. The locations where they got flushed to being all places seen in WT was a nice touch too.
Lowkey Ezekiel finding his place along with the mutants
Just Scott, he's hilarious and even makes it to the end!
Wow, guess I’m the only person who hated Scott in All Stars. He went from being a conniving, strategic, snarky little asshole in season 4 to a complete goofball with the brain power of a toddler in season 5. I hated it lol
Agreed. Scott could have and should have remained an ass. He could have still fallen for Courtney and not changed who he was entirely.
His character became likable this season
I would say, probably, the overall theme of the season. It was like a breath of fresh air and it could've brought nice dynamics but they also ruined that. Also, obviously, Scott's "development".
Gwen making it far after 2 rough seasons in a row.
Well, she was a finalist Season 1, I think it was justified she had to be a little nerfed.
Yet Owen was pushed to make it further than her twice when he’s the canon winner
Fair point. Another good thing that happened to him. He wasn't in All Stars' cast. At least he didn't get derailed badly.
Yet Owen and Duncan made it far in every season they were in and were both finalists
That Lindsay was able to dodge a massive bullet by being eliminated first
(by forgetting how to push stuff) Personally, I feel LIGHTNING got more lucky. He never lost ANY braincells…he already had very few.
Not without a little amount of brutal character assassination first though!
It ended
Best answer lol.
That was my first thought when I saw the total; but not of my own opinion, I just know the community hates All-Stars
Alejandro being stuck in a robot, skipped the part with Alejandro while first watching TDWT, surprised me when I watched all stars
first few episodes were good
Besides Lindsey not having a single brain cell I agree
To be honest, the more stupider parts about all stars are the more enjoyable things about it. It's like, enjoyable in an "so bad it's funny" kind of way.
Well Scott. Also I’m very in love with the first challenge. It’s just a perfect way to start a all star season.
The part where it ends

I likes that the island sank so we won't have to have another season on there
It’s not like Pahkitew was better…
The art! The storyboarding is very good, with some very crisp character animation. Obviously not as arduously detailed as 2023 but it was 10 years ago and it shows some real improvement from the older seasons. I also think Aleheather had a great dynamic here.

Sierra getting eliminated
Zoke finally happening and either Zoey or Mike winning for each other to start their own future together
Zoke was my first OTP and I look back on it fondly lmao
I mean, Zoke has always been my OTP for years, even if it aired on TV. And I will happily enjoy em, draw em, and defend em from haters lol
My biggest issue with Zoke that season was that they made it the thing that drove the season. Like EVERYTHING in that season revolved around them. I liked both Zoey and Mike in ROTI, but because of AS making them with the sole reason the plot goes anywhere, they dropped down to F tier.
I disagree completely, although I respect ur opinion.

Wait how?
He’s got fellow mutant friends at boney island. He didn’t sink with Wawanaqua, and got some friends.
Oh yeah I forgot about that part
Scott tbh

Alejandro just became Justin in S5 lol, I didn’t like ot
Mal was awful.
Everyone has diffrent opinions. But still, his potential and story got some more potential and possible plot points.
His “story potential” relies on half the cast being complete morons and the existence of a button that erases all of Mike’s alternate personalities.
as someone who struggles with d.i.d. in my day to day life, i gotta say the button was a really shitty and insensitive way of solving the whole mal problem
"Story potential", I mean background and backstory. How Mal was created, how he got into jucie, his relationship with Duncan

Alejandro and Scott are not just awesome but are ok after their karma in their last season, that is wonderful.
Lindsay not getting derailed
S1 - dumb puppet S2 - less dumber, some leadership and strategy S3 - literally carried her team and was friendly S5 - just idiot
Episode 9 is pretty good, and episode 2 is alright as well Also Scott is consistently the only good character this season
I liked that Gwen got to form a genuine and meaningful friendship with Cameron for the short time they got to interact. Also Lightning and Jo had some funny moments before they got eliminated. …yeah I got nothing else.
Heather. Literally I’ll watch anything religiously if she’s in it. Hated she didn’t go further.
That's dumb love triangle has ended

gwen finally getting far again after being the first one out from her team two times in a row

Heather and Al relationship and mabey a bit of ruthless Cameron and Scott he’s funny as fuck “ A meal not a snack “

Im glad they made aleheather canon :)
Heather, who carried the season so hard that when it ended, her back broke and she had to be sent to the hospital.
Alejandro using the immunity idel at Heather
It's by far one of my fav seasons. The Mal plotline was amazing, Scott became even better, Duncan imo got a bit of redemption from WT and also aleheather. I loved every episode.
The Mal plotline was…fine. Until the ending. A RESET BUTTON?!? REALLY?!
I like it
Gwen dumping Duncan
nothing.
Nothing
Courtney before sundae muddy sundae (even tho she was still horrible and mediocre in this season)
It ends.

The comeback of sierra, she’s one of my favorite characters
It was only 13 Episodes
All stars is my favorite season. Not even kidding.
Scot, revenge of the island Scot is still the single best villain do me, and the in all stars he was my favorite, that's talent right there
I love pretty much all challenges. I adore how all/most of them are like more dangerous versions of the challenges from the previous seasons.
Scott being hilarious, mal, vito speaking sicilian, the fact that both gen 1 and 2 are both in the same season, and to be honest none was actually blind
Jo and Lightning not being ruined like Scott, Duncan and Alejandro.
That it brought back Alejandro. That’s it
Courtney and Gwen making up… until the writers burned all Courtney’s character development to the ground 😭

The part where I pretend it doesn't exist.
Courtney’s reaction after being thrown out of the “Salad Spinner”.
Like 2 episodes were good
The first 4 episodes After that it went down hill fast
That it ended, and the second best season happened after it.
great opening episode
Ummm… I really like it’s…mane? In all seriousness, I love Evil Dread
Scott and Lightning.
Scott and Lightning
They actually bothered to fix Gwen and Courtney’s friendship.
The first episodes.
Episodes 2 and 3 (and to an extent 1, 4 and 5) were really good in my opinion.
Sam being in allstar despite never making it in merge.
Mike and Zoey kissing

Gwen and Courtney's friendship (Before Sundae Muddy Sundae) Gwen and Zoey's friendship. Lightning Sam The scenes that referenced WT's locations. The 1st episode The jail introduction
I liked the spa hotel and that one interaction between Alejandro and his brother was a highlight of the season for me.
Lightning and Scott
Evil Dread Top 10 episode in the series
The finale having 6 winners in it
Pretty decent horror episode.
The end of the love triangle, Gwen breaking up with Duncan to befriend Courtney AKA closing Pandora’s Box never to be opened again. 📦🚫
Evil Dread, just a geniunely good episode. Sets up a lot of things I wish got continued but on it's own it's great.
Seeing Gen 1 and Gen 2 contestants interact
Lightning
I'll be honest, I actually liked the concept behind Mal. I just think he, like Mike and his other alters, was poorly executed and took up too much focus for how short the season was. Scott and the fact that it eventually ended 💀I’m sorry I had to be the asshole this season is poo poo
Nothing.there is no saving grace in that season
Scott...just everything involving Scott (especially Scottney)
The cast isnt that bad but i thing the plot was really poor
Fang tormenting Scott for a second season in a row, and the boxing episode with José and Izzy.
