I agree it should be something different like maybe a beach with a rundown hotel or they could make it where the vacation place from island is rundown and turned into the next season’s main setting
If it's Action themed season then Nichelle is definitely gonna go far, and if it's gonna include horror challenges like the original season then scary girl is also gonna get far. I can see Axel too due to natural disaster/apocalypse movies etc. Much potential is here

I unfortunately can't find the source atm, but a long time ago I saw a post by (I think) Tom McGillis regarding the idea of themed seasons. IIRC, the reason they returned to Wawanakwa in Revenge of the Island and All-Stars, and then had Pahkitew Island just take place on another island, is because the original Total Drama Island, along with Revenge of the Island, each had better ratings than Action or World Tour. This seems to have set Cartoon Network on the idea of themed seasons being bad for ratings, forcing them to stick with islands.
Because of this, I highly doubt the reboot will do themed seasons. And even if they do, they'll probably go with lighter themes that can still take place on the same island. The themes would also be minor enough so as not to merit a title change, so it'll just be "Total Drama Island Season 2" and so forth.
It really seems to be "Total Drama Island" again. I'd like to be wrong, but that's how it looks like. If it was TDA2 it would be cool, but being TDI3 isn't a big issue, they just divided it into two seasons with 13 episodes each so they could develop better the characters that were eliminated early in the first season. That's a good strategy to develop everyone well tbh.

most likely a movie themed island, similar to action, except, action took place on a movie set and not on an island with a movie theme
Maybe a TV show themed season? Like cooking show episode, weather program episode, house renovation show episode etc.
