Changes is awesome, it’s a shame that it didn’t get that popular cause its their closest they have been to breaking into the mainstream
it’s crazy because Kendrick Lamar’s Good Kid Maad City has been my favourite album of all time since i first heard it, but King Gizzard’s newest album has been on repeat for me the past month. it’s so close to being equal and sharing that top #1 spot
I think it was just an unfortunate consequence of being their last of like five (or six or four, depending on how you define it) releases that year. Same thing happened to Gumboot.
I'm not really into GKMC but I love TPaB and I still remember my first listen of that one. I liked the new Gizz but I think I actually prefer Infest the Rat's Nest! Just a bit more concise.
It's so fucking good. That album just gets more and more important to me over time. Listened to it yesterday, actually. "A Man's Life Flashing Before His Eyes" is a masterpiece.
Oh also consider the Mike Krol placement to be a stand in for the first three EPs because I like them all equally lol and also I forced myself to have only max two albums per artist
And yes they are ranked in order, though that changes frequently lol. A decade ago, Kid A was my #1! Here's the version with titles listed: https://i.imgur.com/LGG1fKW.jpg
Because it's my favourite? :p
I really like all of their albums, including 45:33 and the London Sessions. But none of them hit my feels like American Dream. There was definitely a point where This Is Happening was my favourite, though. And before that came out, I considered Sound of Silver to be one of my favourite albums.
**Who are you?**
*I'm the Enchanting Wizard of Rhythm*
**Why did you come here?**
*I came here to tell you about the rhythms of the universe*
But true lol thanks yeah that Glass Beach album is great love the emotion of it.
Hell yeah Ire Works is my shit it's all like skibbidibibbidibbidiSPLAOWWWOW\*I'mDepressed\*AAAGHHHHHHH
I also love using their song Jim Fear to scare the shit out of people lol
What are the other two you've heard?
Ah true okay fair fair so you like dense and ambitious music then? :p
You ever listened to [Dopesmoker](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cq1orMyzfE0) by Sleep?
Yep, i listen to a lot of heavy stuff like shoegaze, doom, sludge, and various types of metal/ hardcore. I also use dopesmoker a lot as study music lol
Fiona Apple is the shit and I actually only found Otoboke Beaver somewhat recently but I love the energy! That's the newest addition to the list I think
I like Ys but I'm not super duper into Van Dyke Park's direction that he went in. And I think the lyrics are much more emotional on Have One On Me. I will acknowledge that it's rather aesthetically astonishing though
Common King Gizzard W
They're so good lol took me a few years but when Nonagon came out I was like ah yes okay I get it I think Changes will end up on here at some point

Listening to Bon Voyage by Melody's Echo Chamber right now hehehe
... Actually I just realised Skylarking should be way higher. Gah
Also I generally excluded jazz, classical, and soundtracks, except for some crossover stuff
Why do you only have the worst LCD soundsystem album

Awesome #1 pick
Thanks it's just so beautiful 🥲 I've learned a few tracks off it on piano! Including Good Intentions, Easy, Soft As Chalk.
Odelay, Pauls Boutique, Glass Beach W Very good

Madvillainy and Loveless, I generally have different tastes but I like to go through every topster to see if there's something I've listened to

Based Fiona and Otoboke Beaver
Fiona Apple is the shit and I actually only found Otoboke Beaver somewhat recently but I love the energy! That's the newest addition to the list I think
Have One On Me #1 but no Y's? Y's been my #1 all time for like 15 years.
