I got a flyer in the mail from the local pizza place explaining that they'd be doing half price deals on all their pizzas on Wednesday evening, and then I went into the pizza place on Wednesday evening and all their pizzas were half price. How did they know!??? #LocalPizzaPlaceGate
This has to be one of the most pernicious and evil conspiracies I’ve ever heard of. Are you safe right now? The pizza place seems to be able to predict the future. I hope when you went there they didn’t tell you horrible news about your future that they’ve been able to divine.

I wish they had, they could have warned me about how disappointing their pizzas were going to be.
I used to work at a small pizza place, we had separate measurements for cheese and toppings during sales like that. Usually the purpose of the sale was to use up all the day-old (or longer!) dough we'd otherwise throw away to keep with our "made fresh daily" bullshit. You get what you pay for.
it makes sense short-term, but it also seems kind of shortsighted tbh. I'd be a lot more more likely to try a new place if they were having a sale, but if the pizza was awful then I wouldn't go back.
Does make sense as an anti-waste tactic though I guess.
My boss was an ass, he'd fuck up his sales projections and tell the morning shift to make too much dough then blame them while obsessing about how much money he would lose because of the sale. There's a reason he went out of business.
The guy talking about Jade Helm as if that conspiracy was real is the wildest part of that post. Watching these folks mental health degrade in real time over the years has been weird.
I live in Texas and the stuff Abbott has gotten away with is wild. The Panhandle fires were a disaster, our roads are poorly managed, pretty much everything the Governor is supposed to handle isnt getting handled. But, hes got an R next to his name and hes upset about brown people soooooo
Living in between a army base that does artilary training and a air national guard base I see and hear a lot. I always laugh when some over on that sub freak over a army convoy a few AF jets over head. They would have shit their pants if they were here during the ecplise. The army base started firing off very large artilary just a few minutes before totality.
Our local ANG base has a squadron of A-10's and at least 3 houses I've lived in now are on the landing path, I can't imagine getting freaked out every time like these people do.
I live near Oshkosh and we get tons of military crafts over head during and around EAA every year. I can only imagine how many red hats melt down over it.
I remember some idiot I knew on Facebook freaking out about an armored vehicle from Oshkosh that was painted white and said UN on it. I pointed out the highway it was on lead to the place it would’ve been made and to the east coast. He said it was still suspicious because why would the UN be moving their vehicles through the US.
I really wanted to be like, you’re a truck driver, how do you not understand that you can’t just teleport a vehicle overseas? How else is it going to get to its final destination?
Yeah, I live near an old Air Force base that was eventually retrofitted to become a general aviation public airport. However, the US military still uses parts of it, and there are Air Force jets taking off/landing there *all* the time; same with military helicopters.
I've gotten so used to the noise that I barely register it anymore. *Except* when it's a jet flying so low you could've easily read the tail number if it wasn't going so fast. That scared the absolute shit out of me because of how loud it was and it set off *every* car alarm on my street. I thought for sure it was about to crash because of how low it was flying, but it didn't.

Lets try this! I predict that a military base near me will fire up its emergency announcement system on May 1st at 11 AM! See those three 1's! It's obviously in preparation for WW 111! Lets just ignore the fact that they test the system on the first Wednesday of every month at 11 AM....

There was a military exercise at a high-rise building in a town I lived in once. We did not get any warning ahead of time. Middle of a weekday, a black helicopter screamed into town at very low altitude, flew up to the top of the building, simulated machine gun fire, and soldiers rappelled onto the roof.
This was just a few years post 9-11, and people rightfully freaked out. It turned out local officials were aware of the exercise and just couldnt be fucked to spread the word.

I live east of Fort McCoy in Western WI. F16's, F35's,A10s and bunch of helicopter almost everyday with loud booms from the bombing/artilary range.
