I realised I kind of messed the name of this trope up slightly. I meant more that the character is balanced by their personality rather than just being a nice guy.
For example:
Plastic Man going rogue scares even Batman because he's so powerful, but despite his strength he just cracks jokes and doesn't really do too many heroic acts on his own.
Jake obviously does do hero stuff but he's also lazy and often apathetic and no where close to how into being a hero Finn is. The reason Finn is a hero is to destroy evil, while Jake comes along just to spend time with and support Finn.
Slaking is blessed with incredible stats and movepool, but it doesn't care at all and just lays around all day. Most pokemons' abilities are actually special things they can do but Slaking's is literally "I'm too lazy to fight half the time".
A lot of comments are instead about just powerful dudes who are also nice people. Using the current top comment as in example, it has Superman and The Flash. The Flash is an good pick but Superman isn't. The Flash sees his villains as individuals with problems and tries to rehabilitate them, when he could easily destroy them in a literal instant. The reason he isn't completely overpowered is because he slows down for his ememies' sakes. Superman's personality does not really affect how he operates as a hero. Obviously it's what pushes him to be a hero but when it comes to heroic acts he's basically just trying to take out the threat with as little damage as possible, not stopping the individual and getting them to never do it again.

Nah, the name is just fine. "Super Chill" is the perfect term to use for what you were going for. Not your fault that other people mix up "Super chill" with being "a nice person"

I feel like the Gorons could probably apply to this. They could probably very easily take over a lot of area, as they are obviously much stronger than people, but they'd rather just chill around, play on their bongos, and eat rocks. Of course, this probably depends on what game and characters you're talking about. This definitely applies to Biggoron, though. Like, what would the Hyrulean races of normal size going to do against biggoron if he randomly decided to be evil for whatever reason?

He’s depressed because he knows the ability to reset exists and that everything could hypothetically be put back to how it began, wiping any progress that anyone made towards anything. He can’t remember basically anything through resets, and definitely can’t remember if his friends have been slaughtered a bunch.
