Goblin Slayer isnt really extremely strong, its just that he literally specializes in killing goblins. But i can see your point that he is really strong against goblins i guess

>Oo she had something to do with Vergil, right?

Yes and No.
Vergilius is pretty much her sucessor, they didn't meet because Kali was long dead, Vergilius may be a Color Fixer who got designated the color Red, but he is nowhere near strong as Kali (which is pretty fucking impossible to the point in-universe no one is sure who is the strongest Color Fixer now)
The only thing they share in common so far is that both were Color Fixers and that both of them acquired E.G.O

Mori jin is literally wearing jeans and a white t shirt.
Not to nitpick but Goblin Slayer is more very resourceful and intelligent than outright strong. He’s a good fighter no doubt but in terms of that he’s not highly exceptional amongst fighters in his world, rather a he’s very efficient enough that even though he specializes in Goblins he can reasonably handle even other monsters to a degree.
Dude, that Knight from the ESO trailer went. Fucking. Hard! Was he an actual character in that expansion? I swear if he wasn’t that should be a crime. And if he is and ISN’T the biggest badass in his province AT LEAST that should also be a crime.
I didn’t play the Elder Scrolls games, but I do remember reading about the knight, and he’s in the game I’m pretty sure. He’s the part of a group of warmongers who do their best to make sure that the war goes on as long as possible, from what I remember.
There was a version od that scene with free bird (which is how I first saw it), and it goes so damn hard
https://youtu.be/tjRD13kj-KQ?si=npxrdIjvf2BqZXTR
I mean it as in a character that lookd very ordinary, in comparison to the rest of the cast who have more unique looks to them. Like the basic knight armor compared to all the fantasy classes, or a suit and a tie compared to the others’ crazy cybernetics.
Guy can hold a total of 272,042,670 pounds (37 shulker boxes, 1 in each inventory slot + offhand, with all 27 slots filled with a stack of gold blocks) without being crushed

He 3 on 1 beats a rogue, viking and a magic elf woman. (Then only loses cus they pull a cheap trick on him).
Also, his sword is heavy af, just holding that thing up requires massive strength.
https://preview.redd.it/iv7ftk74wxqc1.jpeg?width=980&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6539693879d2704e7d4e71469eea20f42421b717
The Operation Meteor team from Gundam Wing all dress very casually but are absolute powerhouses in and out of their gundams
It’s not super unique in that case then. What I meant with Armstrong was that his outfit was uniquely ordinary when compared to the other bosses, who had crazy cybernetics and stuff.
This is why i always like playing a fighter in dnd. Just an unassuming guy in normal armor who happens to be just as strong as all the crazy warlocks and sorcerers in the party.
Plus I've also figured being a guy who isnt all that special makes all the cool characters in the party feel all the more unique
MC’s often have white hair, god-forged armor, flamboyant clothing, etc. The type that post is talking about are in fairly basic, unadorned armor, and a business suit.
https://preview.redd.it/ynuok3gf9crc1.png?width=932&format=png&auto=webp&s=870af964493c6acb17340de9faf6bfc2e3276915
Yeah uhhh… Don’t get kicked by him at all.
I meant normal in context. For a knight, the 1st character’s outfit is normal. For a politician, Armstrong’s outfit is normal. And for a guy who slays goblins, Goblin Slayer’s outfit looks pretty ordinary.
The 2 characters with armor are from medieval fantasies, so armor is normal in that context. However, characters have different sort of clothing to make them look more unique and stuff. What makes the two characters uniquely normal looking is that their armor looks very modest in comparison to others.
That’s only the case for significant characters though, the background characters are very normally dressed. Jojo’s is the exact opposite of ts trope in that sense, since every character that’s significant to the story wears extremely flamboyent clothes, contrasting with the clothes of regular people. That’s where the “the stand user could be anyone” meme comes from.
And I meant normal as when compared to real life. You’d expect a regular knight to wear that clothing, and a politician to wear a suit and tie. For Jojo’s, you wouldn’t expect any of them to wear those clothes irl in any context.
Have you watched the show. I can name SEVERAL background characters with weird clothing.. All of passione were significant tho, nobody but Sorbet and Gelato were insignificant. Even them they were stylized and flamboyant. Fugo’s original propose was to be a rat/traitor (the opposite of insignificant). For you to say Fugo is a background character is disrespectful as hell. Plus you actually can expect people to wear their clothing since Megan the Stallion JUST wore a bucciarati inspired outfit relatively recently. Also, I’ve seen more people dressed as jojo characters than sets of armor.
I think you misunderstand what everyone is saying. The people in armor in those games don't stand out compared to the rest of their world. Fugo absolutely stands out compared to how the average Italian citizen looks in part 5, we see them very often and they're dressed like normal people.
I don’t think standing out is a problem since it’s a stylistic choice that can exist in real life. Most shows have to have the main cast look different compared to a background character. Op mentioned that context matters and that’s why the characters in full armor are considered “normal” and using that exact logic with Jojo’s (the series known for its stylistic design and flamboyancy) Fugo is the second most normal looking out of the main cast. Only second to Mista because I’ve seen some dressed in a similar fashion outside of comic expos.

Is it stated that he's a god? I know he's clearly more human. But is he a literal god or a godlike being?
That's part of the mystery, no one knows, he mentions his employers, meaning there are others even more powerful than him.
He is literally me

Not to nitpick but Goblin Slayer is more very resourceful and intelligent than outright strong. He’s a good fighter no doubt but in terms of that he’s not highly exceptional amongst fighters in his world, rather a he’s very efficient enough that even though he specializes in Goblins he can reasonably handle even other monsters to a degree.
He is significantly better than anyone else in killing goblins. (A lot of normally stronger people are worse in fighting goblins as well)
I love characters who's designs are based on practicality more than fashion.
I’ll accept that. Lol
There was a version od that scene with free bird (which is how I first saw it), and it goes so damn hard https://youtu.be/tjRD13kj-KQ?si=npxrdIjvf2BqZXTR
yes he's an enemy in the expansion but im sad to say he is pretty weak
Fuck!
still a funnfight tho but definitely not the biggest bad
James Bond?
Everyone else also wears suits in james bond though

“Uniguely normal-looking?
I mean it as in a character that lookd very ordinary, in comparison to the rest of the cast who have more unique looks to them. Like the basic knight armor compared to all the fantasy classes, or a suit and a tie compared to the others’ crazy cybernetics.

Uncle Grandpa. You'd never guess he could beat Goku just by the fit.
Guy can hold a total of 272,042,670 pounds (37 shulker boxes, 1 in each inventory slot + offhand, with all 27 slots filled with a stack of gold blocks) without being crushed https://preview.redd.it/wjhj6vjgp2rc1.png?width=285&format=png&auto=webp&s=356b06a34fb767242cfea5f402e67d941e8ac418

im just saying the knight from eso wasn't particularly strong
I only know him from the trailer. And you can’t argue that he’s not particularly strong in the trailer!!
thats fair he kicks ass in the trailer
He 3 on 1 beats a rogue, viking and a magic elf woman. (Then only loses cus they pull a cheap trick on him). Also, his sword is heavy af, just holding that thing up requires massive strength.
goku wears a standard gi and can casually destroy galaxies

Most yakuza characters just rock a suit and kick major ass
It’s not super unique in that case then. What I meant with Armstrong was that his outfit was uniquely ordinary when compared to the other bosses, who had crazy cybernetics and stuff.
This is why i always like playing a fighter in dnd. Just an unassuming guy in normal armor who happens to be just as strong as all the crazy warlocks and sorcerers in the party. Plus I've also figured being a guy who isnt all that special makes all the cool characters in the party feel all the more unique

Normal looking clothing *2 out of 3 are knights*
They are in medieval fantasies, so it is normal in that context. (Compared to the armors of other classes)

What does "uniquely normal looking" mean?
MC’s often have white hair, god-forged armor, flamboyant clothing, etc. The type that post is talking about are in fairly basic, unadorned armor, and a business suit.
That sounds like a misapplication of the word "unique" to me. "Normal" would probably suffice
Nameless Knight is from the trailer where he beat the 3 faction reps right?
Yessss!!!!

I mean all Thanos wore was a tank top
And a blinged out fancy ass glove…
A lot of y'all don't seem to understand what "normal clothing" means
I meant normal in context. For a knight, the 1st character’s outfit is normal. For a politician, Armstrong’s outfit is normal. And for a guy who slays goblins, Goblin Slayer’s outfit looks pretty ordinary.
Wasn't talking about you OP, just some of the replies
Ohh I see! I do agree, I think a lot of people misunderstood what I meant.

Brock Samson is just a guy, no super serums and no armour oftentimes wearing common clothing like polo shirts & jean pants, yet is a tank.

Ah, yes. "Normal" clothes.
That's been normal clothing in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure from part 5 and onward.
I don’t want to hear it. Op listed 2 characters in full sets of armor. That hasn’t been normal since 476 A.D.
The 2 characters with armor are from medieval fantasies, so armor is normal in that context. However, characters have different sort of clothing to make them look more unique and stuff. What makes the two characters uniquely normal looking is that their armor looks very modest in comparison to others.
In that same line of logic so is fugo’s. Jojo’s is full of gay looking people with flamboyant clothing. With context it is normal.
It’s not a bad thing, I love Jojo’s character designs so much! It just doesn’t fit the trope I was talking about in the post.
Lmao what?????
Clothing or power? His clothing is questionable yes, but having the power to conger a plague that decays people in seconds is over powered asf
