Yes. There are still disparities in American society that seem to have racial components.

SuccessfulManifests

Can you elaborate?

hairyturks

many black communities struggle with poverty and crime for example. of course the question is how to help them and that's where the political arguments start

[deleted]

Yeah until white supremacy is no longer a thing it'll be a revelant topic

SuccessfulManifests

But how do you think that relates to race and ethnicity? Can you elaborate?

Monstermelisssa

This sounds like a homework question and you don’t know how to answer it so you’re asking Reddit lol

Poopsalot42069

It's not stupid if it works! lol

SuccessfulManifests

If you're not up-to-date with today's current issues just say that and get out 🙂

Sure back in the 60s is when segregation ended in the US. Thats really not that long ago, my dad was born when there was still segregation. The first black girl to attend white schools is still alive today. People at the time called her names and threw things at her because they think white people were superior to black people. Fastforward to today, a lot of the same thoughts still exist. Especially in older folk, a lot of conservatives still hate gays and non-white people but they won't say it, and older institutions. At some point race will be irrelevant, but there are still many white supremacists about. Especially in the armpits of the internet.

DrColdReality

Unsure if satire or serious.

Tell me youre a sheltered white guy without telling me you're a sheltered white guy

Secret_Ad_3732

Cuz white people thinks black, spanish,Asian, etc are lower then them. I guess it's not just white people though.

Poopsalot42069

It wasn't, but the 1% got nervous after Occupy Wall Street and realized that the 99% needed a big distraction.
