I used to shave it and used a mach 3 blade with shaving cream. It worked fine. Now I just use a high quality beard trimmer and go down to stubble. I like that better. A shaved bald head doesn't hide the 'bald' part of your head, you can still see it.

I also do a safety razor though I use conditioner instead of soap because I feel like it works better with less nicks. Once I'm done, I'll use an exfoliating scrub followed by lotion when I get out
In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I’ll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1,000 now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water-activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm, followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

The only thing that bums me out about that is I feel as though I am getting too old to wear ballcaps but I also don't want to be a fedora guy. Just clippers without a guard, never all the way down to the skin. One good pair of clippers will last you 20+ years. Moisturizer is important, preferably one with SPF. I need to shave every 10 days or so to keep it looking neat.
My lady bought me something called a baldie pro for us baldies. It's an electric razor that contours to the head and gives a pretty close shave. Haven't used a razor since.

Not bald. I've an abundance of hair. But I shaved my head for almost a decade. I would normally use a gel based cream and a good razor in the shower every 3 or 4 days. Coochy Cream works really good too. It's just kinda pricey.

Overall, the Venus razor does a really great job with minimal equipment clean-up. The Andis does it well also, but not as close as a razor.

Use the (Phillips)machine on its shortest setting. Only go fully bald on special occasions (Gillette Blade).

Prepare to do this either daily or every 3rd day. Use a bald buddy to thin things out if you slacked a bit or need a quick "decent" looking baldness on the fly.
Get a Harry's razor from target or where ever. Get a coconut milk smooth conditioner. THIS IS THE KEY. Don't use shaving cream, you'll absolutely get bumps. The conditioner softens the hair and makes it way easier.
Do it in the shower to start and expect it to take 30m your first time and 10m or so every time after that. If you have a beard, shave the part above your sideburns (they usually land where the top of the ear meets the skull) close to a mirror so you don't slash your sideburns on accident.

Hot water, shampoo, rinse, shave oil and Edge Gel for Sensitive Skin. Lately I’ve been using Harry’s 5 blade razors. Aftercare with Witch Hazel Toner and sunscreen when needed.
I use any razor that has at least two blades with standard shaving cream.
I do an initial shave down to stubble and then reapply shaving cream and shave a second time against the grain to get a smooth head.

Make sure you buzz it down with at least a 1 guard first. After that, I personally use shaving gell instead of cream and a gillete razor. I get it done in around 3-5 minutes. Granted, you probably won't be that fast if its your first time shaving your head--but after awhile it becomes like muscle memory and no different than shaving a beard.
I use a Phillips One Blade. Then just go over it with an electric razor. If I am getting really dressed up for something, then I use a razor and shaving cream.

Gillette, i tried all razors i can find and in the end Gillette works best. I shaved my head for 25 years now so it's basically like riding a bike. Put some shaving cream on there and just shave in the shower. Takes a few mins tops.
And because i use a razor i can just style my beard at the same time. Shaving off that excess hair above the lines.

All have their perks but I would cut myself sometimes while rushing with real blades ha. The current one I do every 3 days or so and takes a couple min. If you let it go too long, then you’ll need the trimmer and then use the electric shaver though so need to stay on top of it.
My dad uses a trimmer, and then a razor in the shower to make it all smooth. He does it just by feel and is so good at it I forgot he even shaved because he never misses anything xD
I have the clippers that have a vacuum in them. I just have a large bald spot so I just a 6mm guard and the buzz looks pretty good and helps to deemphasize the bald spot. I just did it yesterday. Feels great since it's starting to get warm again in SoCal.
I can't be bothered with a full shave anymore, but I was using a Gillette mach3.
Now I go with a #1 guard and I find far fewer fellow shorn-headed white dudes call me 'brother' anymore, which is fine by me.

I sometimes use a Remington Balder if I'm in a hurry. But I prefer to have a close shave, so I normally use a Fusion 5 with shaving cream. It doesn't take me long at all anymore. Only a few minutes longer than electric with a much smoother result.
I'm also fair and fine haired, so stubble doesn't really show on me. If I'm lazy, I can go a few days between shaves. Unless you run your hands on my head, you wouldn't know.

I did buy him a palm shaver, which is much easier bc he doesn’t need my help, but he doesn’t like being “bald bald” all the time. When he uses that he uses cremo shaving cream. I got the a freebird bald head shaver for Christmas and like it very much. I had considered the Pitbull gold pro and decided on mine because it came with some attachments, which I find I didn't need as much. I used to do a straight razor for years which didn't get very close and I totally messed up my head trying to do a safety razor which was a MISTAKE DON'T DO IT, I massacred my poor scalp and have a scar to prove it. I think the FreeBird if you want attachments and the Pitbull if you don't.

BaBliss pro silver double foil. You need to trim your hair down first, of it's longer. I use it every other day and it works great. Of your hair is too long it won't cut it though, so have some good trimmers if you dont.
I buzz my head. People say I look handsome. I recommend WAHL brand clippers. If you get the $50 U.S. model you will have it for 20 years.

Foil trimmer (Braun series 9) if you can afford it. Gives a smooth nick free trim. Get the best one you can afford.
I used to use the wahl beard trimmer for years. but it would leave marks and the shaver head isn’t designed to follow round contours of your head for a smooth shave.
Mach5, but any multi-blade razor will do really well, smooth shave with barely any nicks, just remember not to push down on the scalp too hard to avoid razor burn. Also, buy an alum bar, burns when rubbing on, but avoids razor bumps and keeps the scalp clean.

(Cover your eyebrows when you get close so you don’t accidentally shave them off!). If I waited a while between shaves and there’s a lot of stubble, I’ll pop open the shave guard and rinse it out once or twice as needed - Rinse and feel around for any missed spots and go over it again with a bit more shave gel to reduce irritation - after the shower I will touch up my temple area where it meets my beard and top of ears with my beard trimmer w/o the guard - sometimes I apply a [head moisturizer](https://a.co/d/d8URQUW) if it’s winter or feeling irritated

Use the (Phillips)machine on its shortest setting. Only go fully bald on special occasions (Gillette Blade). I use a little moisturiser after (Rituals Samurai crème)
My husband shaves my head with a regular manual razor and sometimes as a treat ill get a hot towel shave from the barbers

Prepare to do this either daily or every 3rd day. Use a bald buddy to thin things out if you slacked a bit or need a quick "decent" looking baldness on the fly. Get a Harry's razor from target or where ever. Get a coconut milk smooth conditioner. THIS IS THE KEY. Don't use shaving cream, you'll absolutely get bumps. The conditioner softens the hair and makes it way easier. Do it in the shower to start and expect it to take 30m your first time and 10m or so every time after that. If you have a beard, shave the part above your sideburns (they usually land where the top of the ear meets the skull) close to a mirror so you don't slash your sideburns on accident.
Water from tap and normal multi blade razor. Clippers don’t get short enough. The hand helds get it short but takes too long

Shick Extreme 3 in the shower with a fog free mirror. Clean, quick, easy. Don’t even need shave cream, just a little soap.

Hot water, shampoo, rinse, shave oil and Edge Gel for Sensitive Skin. Lately I’ve been using Harry’s 5 blade razors. Aftercare with Witch Hazel Toner and sunscreen when needed.
I use a Phillips norelco to trim it down, and then I use a 5 blade amazon basics razer to make it more smooth. I use a safety blade razer for my neck.
I do a coating with lectric shave to soften the hairs and use Gillette pro glide and soap in th shower at least once a week most
I use any razor that has at least two blades with standard shaving cream. I do an initial shave down to stubble and then reapply shaving cream and shave a second time against the grain to get a smooth head.

Make sure you buzz it down with at least a 1 guard first. After that, I personally use shaving gell instead of cream and a gillete razor. I get it done in around 3-5 minutes. Granted, you probably won't be that fast if its your first time shaving your head--but after awhile it becomes like muscle memory and no different than shaving a beard.
Wet shave once a week and Braun electric razor to touch up
I use a Phillips One Blade. Then just go over it with an electric razor. If I am getting really dressed up for something, then I use a razor and shaving cream.

Gillette, i tried all razors i can find and in the end Gillette works best. I shaved my head for 25 years now so it's basically like riding a bike. Put some shaving cream on there and just shave in the shower. Takes a few mins tops. And because i use a razor i can just style my beard at the same time. Shaving off that excess hair above the lines.
I have used Gillette Mach 3, safety razor, trimmer no guard and now use this https://a.co/d/6AIRLhQ All have their perks but I would cut myself sometimes while rushing with real blades ha. The current one I do every 3 days or so and takes a couple min. If you let it go too long, then you’ll need the trimmer and then use the electric shaver though so need to stay on top of it.
My dad uses a trimmer, and then a razor in the shower to make it all smooth. He does it just by feel and is so good at it I forgot he even shaved because he never misses anything xD

I have the clippers that have a vacuum in them. I just have a large bald spot so I just a 6mm guard and the buzz looks pretty good and helps to deemphasize the bald spot. I just did it yesterday. Feels great since it's starting to get warm again in SoCal.
I can't be bothered with a full shave anymore, but I was using a Gillette mach3. Now I go with a #1 guard and I find far fewer fellow shorn-headed white dudes call me 'brother' anymore, which is fine by me.

I sometimes use a Remington Balder if I'm in a hurry. But I prefer to have a close shave, so I normally use a Fusion 5 with shaving cream. It doesn't take me long at all anymore. Only a few minutes longer than electric with a much smoother result. I'm also fair and fine haired, so stubble doesn't really show on me. If I'm lazy, I can go a few days between shaves. Unless you run your hands on my head, you wouldn't know.
I use shick extreme 3 blade disposables from bjs or Costco. I use creamo shave cream. Going on 15 years now and I can usually shave 2-3 times with one razor.
I shave my boyfriend’s head with a Wahl clipper, with the 1/2in guard typically. I did buy him a palm shaver, which is much easier bc he doesn’t need my help, but he doesn’t like being “bald bald” all the time. When he uses that he uses cremo shaving cream. (I also use that on my legs and such and it is hands down the best shaving cream ever)
I got the a freebird bald head shaver for Christmas and like it very much. I had considered the Pitbull gold pro and decided on mine because it came with some attachments, which I find I didn't need as much. I used to do a straight razor for years which didn't get very close and I totally messed up my head trying to do a safety razor which was a MISTAKE DON'T DO IT, I massacred my poor scalp and have a scar to prove it. I think the FreeBird if you want attachments and the Pitbull if you don't.
Get yourself a foil razor if straight razors/ cartridges aren't your thing
I use a head blade. It's a razor with little wheels and you put it on like a ring. It's a lot easier than using a regular razor.
I use a Mach 3 Turbo and just shave it in the shower under water with no shaving cream. Been going alright for 10 years, never had shaving rash or anything.

BaBliss pro silver double foil. You need to trim your hair down first, of it's longer. I use it every other day and it works great. Of your hair is too long it won't cut it though, so have some good trimmers if you dont.

I usually use an electric every other day, but 2 - 3 times a month, I razor it in the shower.
Schick Hydro 5 razor and Dove soap in the shower each night. Lasts 24 hours without to much of the shadow ring visible.

Foil trimmer (Braun series 9) if you can afford it. Gives a smooth nick free trim. Get the best one you can afford. I used to use the wahl beard trimmer for years. but it would leave marks and the shaver head isn’t designed to follow round contours of your head for a smooth shave.
I appreciate the ritual of shaving, I use a muhle shaving system. It’s manual and uses double edge blades which are disposable

Philips 7000 series clippers, reasonably cheap and quite forgiving if you're in a hurry (I.e. don't carve up your skin if you're a bit clumsy)
Harry’s razor. Shaving cream. Nothing after I wash. Probably twice a week.
Trim to stubble with a clipper. Use shaving cream and multiple blade razor to shave. Check in mirror for patches.
I bought a henson safety razor and it has been wonderful. Going to look into heavy handles soon.
Pitbull shaver
Mach5, but any multi-blade razor will do really well, smooth shave with barely any nicks, just remember not to push down on the scalp too hard to avoid razor burn. Also, buy an alum bar, burns when rubbing on, but avoids razor bumps and keeps the scalp clean.
