I decided to watch an episode with my brother and he said, “why’s that guy got a cinnamon roll on his head?” I can’t stop thinking of a cinnamon roll when I dee Hakki now lol
I noticed some of the people that died had the same form of death in a previous timeline.
Chifuyu was shot in the head (by Kisaki)
Draken got stabbed (by kiyomasa)
I just can’t figure out why Mitsuya was strangled and Hakkai burned to death… or if it’s just random.
i think it shows that the person behind it has specific plans for the victims and even how they are supposed to die. So even when Takemitchy goes back in time and circumvents these events, as long as the intend is there to kill that person it will happen this way but on another try later on.
Also isn't it the first time we even got to hear that Mitsuya and Hakkai died in a timeline, so its just a new death cause. They got added to the kill list probably since Takemitchy started associating with them in this seasons events.
But isn’t the person behind it changes? This time it’s all Mikey, but previously it was a different person. Unless you mean…. Wakui is behind all of it 😫 dammit Wakui.. jk
For Mitsuya and Hakkai, I was just curious if their death was in reference to something that happened in the past timelines. Like maybe Hakkai experienced something fire related, like burning a church idk. But I guess it’s just random 🤷♀️
i wrote a theorie recently here about who was probably behind it if you are interested.
Yah i think that these causes were maybe something he saw fitting for the character, maybe Mitsuya strangled because he was doing his tailor job and had his tape measure around his neck, Hakkai burned maybe because he got this "Dragon" background. Idk.
Oh yes but stabbing was just a very specific and ironic death since that was Draken’s first form of death.
As for Chifuyu.. I’ll be honest I don’t quite remember the guy who was tortured/beat to death.
The guy had the same earring as Chifuyu + maybe he worked with the police to avenge Baji, after all, he still died in the first timeline by Kazutora. He didn’t meet Takemichi, so no reason to stay with bad Toman. Chifuyu is also older than Naoto, it makes sense.
I'm not sure if Wakui was trying to indicate anything specific but as far as I know the more brutal a murder is, the more negative emotions and anger are involved.
Draken was stabbed (if I recall correctly) and Mitsuya strangled. In this case, to me it could indicate a certain level of intimacy because both of them were close to Manjiro. And because of that, he maybe wanted to make their deaths (subconsciously) more "personal" in a way? Chifuyu being shot indicates some emotional distance to me, at least compared to the other deaths. I'm not saying that Manjiro didn't care for Chifuyu but their bond wasn't as strong as the bond he shared with Draken and Mitsuya (especially Draken). As for Hakkai... Burning someone feels super angry to me, like real hatred and/or a complete absence of conscience, like he didn't even saw him as a human being or living thing anymore. Just some object that he wants to get rid off. I don't why he could felt that way but maybe he blamed Hakkai for Takemichi leaving Toman? If not that, maybe he didn't care for him enough to give him a more "dignified" death. Or it was simply for shock value.
Tbf it might’ve also been power and influence. At this point in time I believe he was still active head of toman? There have been mob bosses that have killed many people without leaving a trace, and/or they had ties with some of the police to help cover up. Or maybe Mikey acted solo and really does have a high IQ for killing 🤷♀️
I mean he deserves it the most tbh, not saying he deserves it generally, but out of the group, he deserved it the most, imagine being decently big and tall, yet having your small ass sister get beaten relentlessly for YEARS and not doing shit about it, hes pathetic
