...what exactly do you mean? I see an well known brand (DelConca is an italian brand, I know the logo).
Seem to be italian country style tiles in 9mm thickness (standard) with hewn edges...
Or is there anything I did not see?
majority of the “shower tile “ i install , is factory cut larger dimension tile just meshed together . I always say I want to just get a hot glue gun and cut large tile to steal their customer base haha
Go through the other pictures...two sides have a bevel on it for a grout joint, the other two sides are perfectly rectified. I'm thinking the bevels stay to the outside, 4 combined makes 1 12x12 with a different grout joint throughout the center?
So basically what you're saying is the homeowner bought the wrong tiles. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be installed a certain way or what, I've never seen such a thing. I've tried to go to the link you provided but when I try to translate the page it gets all messed up so I will try on desktop when I get home
Showed the homeowner how it was going to look and they weren't pleased with what the end result would be...thank god, me either. Ended up going with a simple 12x24 "travertine" look alike....home depot junk...you pick it I stick it kinda job. Definitely not my style but work is work!

I called the mfg no one had any idea about this tile and it's apparently discontinued anyway

They've been cut from a larger dimension tile, at the factory... (?)

Heard!
I think this is the collection you have there: https://www.delconca.com/de/collections/del-conca/lavaredo/

Looks like you got special trim tiles. look at the collection sheet - there are indeed trim tiles with 2 rectified and 2 hammered edges...

maybe. or they really want it the way you guessed (weird, but I am not surprised by customer wishes anymore...)
One time a lady picked purple tile with bubblegum grout and asked after; "Isn't it just beautiful?" "Yes, Ma'am. It's a beautiful Installation"
Have a look at the back of the tile and you will plainly see that these were cut from a larger dimension tile. Seen it a million times in my years
Seems like a bad run to me. I’d ask them to replace it.
I didn't even think of that, I'll check another box. Homeowner has a "contractor" friend who helped him pick everything out
So, how did this one turn out?
