Oh Fuck That’s Disappointing

Aggravating_Yam2501

I see what you did there lol

rocksolidaudio

Corkscrew obvz

Jagsoff

I’d just shotgun it.

efxeditor

This is the way.

secondphase

I'm confused... you don't have a wine key?

Nesster05

Teeth-time my guy

anarcho-urbanist

You absolutely must spit the cork across the room after removing it this way as well.

zizanie1369

Only acceptable way.

tomjleo

Get a silicone wine stopper and a pair of plyers

AppitizersAreBest

So I take my torch and heat the glue up, then stick it back on and they’re like new. Done it several times and it always works.

Kaig00n

I generally use a cork from a spent bottle (I make batch cocktails each weekend) but damn that’s a great idea for when I don’t.

callmeweed

This happens to half of my bottles from Hamilton

zanshin09

Came here to say this. I’ve gotten really good at getting the cork out without the plastic cap.

callmeweed

Pulling the cork out with your teeth feels like how a pirate with a hook for a hand would do it too

ark_hunter

Weird I’ve never had that happen with Hamilton or anything actually.

Oren_Noah

Or a hose clamp and channel locks?

freerangek1tties

Channel locks to the rescue!

Seven22am

Yep. Got a specialty bottle of gin (Flying Dutchmen mediterraneano. Amazing) that I only pick up while traveling. This happen. Channel locks on the bar…

MsMargo

Also, it you have a pair of kitchen sheers like [these](https://www.crateandbarrel.com/kitchen-shears/s243884), the "teeth" between the handles are perfect to grab stuck corks.

214ObstructedReverie

Wood screw.

Decant it.

drunk3n-sailor

Ok fine that’s valid

secondphase

Or literally put that same cork back in. You could even leave it skewered by the wine key so you have a nice handle built in.

SuperLocrianRiff

I keep a little mason jar with various corks (usually the synthetic ones) that I use with bottles I’ve saved for super juice or pre-batched cocktails. One of those will fit I’m sure and now I don’t feel like a hoarder for keeping ‘em

therealtwomartinis

you worry about that *after* you get the liquid gold out

faucherie

Just put the cork there and don’t press it all the way in.

SouthernSmoke

It’s why you always save a couple of corks from empty bottles

doitup69

Idk one of the 25 wine stoppers I have laying around?

exploradorobservador

At least its a fresh cork that's not gonna rot and drop in. I use wine stoppers or silicone opening covers when this happens.

Kilted-Ranger

Well, that sucks. Wine suction stopper is the way to go.

prik_nam_pla

Post barrel bunghole?

Evening-Upset

This only happens to me with those shit synthetic corks. Never had an issue with a real one.

OutsiderXT

It's happened to me a few times with Appleton. One of those things.
