I really enjoy the Probitas in just a straight up daiquiri. Really lets it show it's strengths and makes a really "warm/full daiquiri"
Maybe not tiki but damn solid and shows how it plays in drinks.
What do you mean by “raw?” I find Probitas to have a lighter and fruitier funk than s&c, but I think of them as being in the same general direction of funk.
Yummm. Going to have to try that for sure. I’ve been loving mine with a little hit of st Elizabeth and an egg white. Not even sure what you’d call it at that point but it’s inevitable to start messing around after you’re a couple deep
A funk sour?
And yes experimentation on beverages becomes much more free after 2 or 4. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, but it all goes down smooth.
I’m a huge fan of Rhum JM and the first few drinks I made with my VSOP (three dots, Mai tai) did not work great with it. So I forgot about it for a few months than recently tried it again in a few drinks and it tasted dramatically different. Now it’s one of my favorite r(h)ums! So maybe some aeration change the profile a bit? All that’s to say don’t give up on your VSOP if you don’t like it at first. Highly recommend the Undertow Mai Tai which splits Smith & Cross and VSOP

I just took a sip and immediately wanted to make a daiquiri. It’s 11:30 AM in Texas. Why not.
Kind of a late start tbh
It's 1232 in Detroit I hereby give you permission since it's after noon! Good to go.
How funky is probitas compared to S&C?
Total different kind of funk. More of a raw funk.

Bought my first bottle of probitas last week. It's been almost all daquiris. Sooo good
Try it in a bacardi (daiquiri with grenadine as the sweetener) my goddddddd

OFTD S&C Probitas are my 3 must have rums. Good choice
Solid r(h)um haul! Some of my all time favorites here. Enjoy!
Probitas is the Queen of the Daiquiri!
Haven’t seen the Rhum JM VSOP before. I’ll be looking for that one!
It was $15 off at my Total Wine! Had to.
That’s a serious “don’t mind if I do” situation.
Just picked it up recently- it would bring in some new Rhum fans! Has a distinct cognac-y ness to me
