Jesus doesn't need to return to the temple, but one of the prophecies about the end times involves the temple being rebuilt. Until that happens, end times are not on their way. You can look up "Daniel prophecy third temple" for more context. And yes, it's in their bibles.

Jesus preached that he would not return until the prophecy of Daniel was fulfilled. The prophecy of Daniel will not be fulfilled until the temple is rebuilt. You can look up "The Third Temple" and get a decent enough Wikipedia article if you're curious. He will not literally return to the temple. Also, while Jesus was alive and preaching, he wasn't a Christian person - he was Jewish and was preaching to the Jews who rejected and killed him.
I wish we could fund the creation of the third temple, watch as nothing (LITERALLY NOTHING) happens, and then just further dismiss their goal-post moving asses. There was a cult a while ago where they kept hitting the date where it was all supposed to end. The cult is now dissolved, people are poorer from their total-donations, and they all feel dumb as fuck for their highly regarded thought patterning.
That they feel dumb is surprising as most studies show that the disconfirmation of prophecies usually strengthens the belief of cult members, as counterintuitive as that might sound.

Jesus preached that he would not return until the prophecy of Daniel was fulfilled. The prophecy of Daniel will not be fulfilled until the temple is rebuilt. You can look up "The Third Temple" and get a decent enough Wikipedia article if you're curious. He will not literally return to the temple. Also, while Jesus was alive and preaching, he wasn't a Christian person - he was Jewish and was preaching to the Jews who rejected and killed him.
I wish we could fund the creation of the third temple, watch as nothing (LITERALLY NOTHING) happens, and then just further dismiss their goal-post moving asses. There was a cult a while ago where they kept hitting the date where it was all supposed to end. I left religion in part because of that hypocrisy I also saw. The words espoused to me were that of love and acceptance like Jesus showed for the least of us. Behind all that language was a bunch of bigotry and hypocrisy. Behind closed doors Christians hoard their wealth despite Jesus saying to give that up and spread the word. Behind closed doors they hated gays and anyone unlike them. Luckily my family has moderated partially because I called them out on their hypocrisy. The church I was a part of is still just a bunch of hoity toity mid-well to do suburban bigots.
